Once again, the photos from the convention in this report are courtesy of Julie from Carry On. Day 2 of the Convention opened with Jim Michaels—or in keeping with Porncouver, Tabitha Susan. This was my first convention with anyone other than actors speaking, so I was eager to hear what types of things he’d…
(photo courtesy of acsgrlie) My vacation started on a sour note, boding ill for the rest of the trip. I live in Southwest Minnesota, and the day I landed in NYC, a tornado struck. Thankfully, no one was killed or injured. My town emerged largely unscathed as far as massive property damage, but we did…
Sebastian Roche and Mark Sheppard ended up doing a joint panel this time, and I don’t know how Creation comes up with these pairings, but this was a good one. They both knew how to play on each other perfectly. Sebastian is raunchy and Mark has a foul mouth. A winning combo. …
(Photo of Misha Collins courtesy of @FangasmSPN). Saturday at Vancon. Just like any other con, this is the day where serious s*** happens. Mark Sheppard is in the house as well as a number of other illustrious guests, and then it all closes with the always interesting grossly amusing Misha Collins. Lucky for us, Bardicvoice…
(Photo courtesy of BMI) On Thursday evening, a panel took place at Comic-Con during other high profile ones called “The Character of Music.” The idea of the panel was to have one composer for a TV show or movie and one of the producers there with him to talk about the impact of the score…
(Photo courtesy of @Marie610) This weekend, Asylum 6 took place in Birmingham, England. In attendance were Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, Cindy Sampson, Frederic Lehne, Richard Speight Jr., Mark Sheppard, Brock Kelly, and Jason Manns. The weekend was enjoyed by all who sent their reports anyway, and those guests at the hotel got a memory to…
Thanks Alice! I have day one and day two posted now.
Great report Tigershire, to think you thought it would be nothing but a mumble…nary a mumble or drooly bit in sight. Sounds like a great first day, lots of fun and I’m glad there’s a new Q&A format…I only ever catch glimpses here and there on the web or via reports but the incessant inanity of some of the questions never ceases to amaze. Good for someone to take a stand on that. I also think it’s fair there’s no recording, I mean, it’s great to view some of the vids but truth is people pay a lot of money to go and then some of us get to watch stuff free…’tis fair.
I’ll be looking forward to your next series of posts.
Thanks for doing this.
Thanks Elle2. I credit my ability to recall and transcribe with the fact that I seemed to have gotten my head around the whole event and my nerves went away. I still wasn’t brave enough to say, get up to the mike to ask a question, but meeting them all no longer held any fear or nerves. It was AWESOME and enabled me to recall events enough to recount them.
Day 2 is up and I’m hoping to do Day 3 tonight but it’s late and I have a bit of paperwork to do. So could be there….but definitely tomorrow for sure.
Okey dokey – I think I have finished. I completed Day 3 – Part 2 at 2 am and posted it.
Folks are more than welcome to leave comments on my blog as well, or ask me questions and I will compile them into a post to answer them.
But really, I’m just please folks want to read what I have to say and I want to say another HUGE Thank You to Alice for posting my link here, I have gotten a ton of traffic to my site because of it.
Thank you so much Tigershire. Loved reading your experiences at the con.
Love the boys and all the wonderful characters on the show. It must be a happy workplace on the Supernatural set. They’re all so cool!
