The WFB Spoilery Lite/Speculative Preview: Supernatural Episode 10.08 Second sneak peek added!
We are coming up on episode eight, the last episode before the mid-season finale. What do we know?
First, let me thank Alice for doing the Spoiler/Speculative article last week. I was moving and didn’t have Internet. She did a great job.
Now on to this weeks episode.
The title is Hibbing 911
The Official Press Release
SUPERNATURAL “Hibbing 911” — (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET) JODY MILLS RETURNS — Jody Mills (guest star Kim Rhodes) reluctantly attends a mandatory sheriff’s retreat and is partnered with an overeager sheriff named Donna (guest star Briana Buckmaster) who wants to bond. Just as Jody thinks things can’t get any worse, a body with just strings of meat and skin hanging off the bones is discovered. While the local sheriffs blame an animal attack, Jody knows better and calls Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles). Tim Andrew directed this episode with teleplay by Jenny Klein and story by Jenny Klein & Phil Sgriccia (#1008).

Sheriff Jody and Sheriff Donna together at last! I didn’t know I wanted this until they told us we were getting it, and now I’m so happy! Donna may finally find out that the supernatural is real, Jody may get a fellow sheriff to share the truth with. I have no idea what the MOTW is. I can’t remember any that leave a body as described. Maybe we will get something new? I would enjoy that. I’m hoping with this being an episode before the mid-season finale that we will have both women walk out alive, but I know better than to be too optimistic.
On the Mark of Cain front, Sam and Dean are looking for information on the Mark, finally. The sneak peek says there is nothing in the files, but Magus knew about it when he met Dean and Sam in Blade Runners. Do you think he stole all the information when he left? Or did he continue to research all things supernatural after he left the Men of Letters? I wish they had let him live because he had a lot of information that Sam and Dean could have used.
What do you think? Any ideas as to what monster they may be dealing with? Are you glad to see Jody and Donna meet? Do you think they will get a clue on how the Mark of Cain works? Give us your thoughts.
I wish the would go back to Magus’ lair and look for information – and treasures! There were the originals (?) of some very famous pictures in Magnus’ place that may cost fortunes. But no such luck for the boys I presume, they were not born to become rich.
Novi, I think the boys are loaded.
Remember 20,000 bucks they
gave Frank….:o
or, as I say,
INDEPENDENTLY BROKE 😀
NOLANOLA, sorry, who’s Frank?
You remember Frank. The paranoid, irascible computer expert who was helping Sam and Dean in season 6. He’s the one that had Dean put Baby up and they had to drive around in a bunch of stolen cars and he told them to stop using rock and roll alias so they were going by “Smith and Smith, no relation” instead. He lived in a trailer, moving from place to place and was a kind of Bobby replacement of sorts and a government conspiracy nut. He was cranky on a good day and downright unpleasant when riled up. He and Dean got along pretty well. He disappeared suddenly in season 6 and they implied that the Leviathan got him, but we don’t know for sure.
or was that season 7? I forget.
yep… Season 7… the year of the black goo.
“He and Dean got along pretty well”. Hey! 😀 Well Dean’s a LITTLE more personable.
In reply to E
Shame on me, how could I forget the bespectacled guy who treaded down Sam’s laptop?! Season 7 for sure, though for the life of mine still don’t remember that they gave him any money. There were some golden things from dragons’ cave, but hardly enough for a good jamboree.
Novi – Dean talked about how they gave him money to track down Dick Roman. It was in Adventures in Babysitting.
Thanks for the preview. I think the monster may turn out to be human. Isn’t Hibbing the name of the town from the Benders? Maybe there are still some Benders left, hunting people?
Loving this season!
didn’t some say the little girl
Dean’s daughter, will show up
in this episode…..
What daughter does Dean have? The Amazon daughter? Thought Sam killed her.
Yes, the ACTRESS, was the little girl in
THE BENDERS, I read or heard she
might come back as grown up. This
is indeed her town.

Gotcha, the actress who played Dean’s daughter. I thought you meant Dean was going to have a daughter show up.
Huh.. having Missy Bender come back would be interesting. I wonder how pissed off she is? Her brother was killed and her other brother and father arrested; she might have a few problems with “the establishment.” And yes, you are correct; the actress was also Dean’s amazon monster daughter whom Sam killed. I like it when they bring back actors/actresses they’ve used before.
Didn’t the deputy (thanks njspnfan:)) kill Missy’s father when he said it was “fun” when she asked why (they did it)?
No, that was someone else; Deputy Hudak I think….
You’re right, not Jody! She kind of reminds me of Jody. They didn’t meet Jody until later. Thanks.
no clue what the MOTW will be, nor whether the fact it’s located in Hibbing like The Benders is meaningful. Pictures show everyone carrying a long knife/cleaver which is usually used for decapitation (vampires, shapeshifters, zombies, leviathan, ghouls, etc.) Nice to have my favorite sheriffs back. I do wonder, though. If Magnus/Cuthbert is dead, is his hidden lair still around? Since Sam figured out how to break in before, they can always go back.
Gotta wonder, though; how much lore can there be on the MoC? Cain was the only bearer till Dean and he kind of kept to himself. No one knew he was the one that wiped out most of the Knights of Hell; rumor was that the Archangels had killed them.
It’s been suggested that Abaddon destroyed the research the Men of Letters had done on the mark. After all, Abaddon had possessed Josie.
we know to much 🙂
