This is the first look at our new writer Nancy Won. It looks like she is giving us a MOTW, mixed with mytharc. The press release says they suspect Amara when they hear a little girl is near the B&B close to the time of the murders, but we saw Amara grow to what looked like a teen aged girl. Do you think Amara is part of what is going on? Is this a straight up ghost? We haven’t had one of those for a while. Or could it be something else entirely? At least it looks like Sam and Dean are working together smoothly. Do you think they are reparing their relationship? Let us know in the comments, or in the Discussion Thread for episode 5 .
Reminds me of “Play things” Two brothers who are hunters check into a New England B and B and there are creepy dolls. That was about a ghost as well. And we know that dolls creep Jensen out a bit. Looking forward. Little Jared( guest star) got a thumbs up from JP at the convention in Chicago. Test drive for the new writer. Hard to be the writer who follows Thompson’s “Baby”.
Hmmmm. This appears to be a ‘light’ episode but the pictures seem to indicate some brotherly chatting going on…. the first picture shows them sitting on the hood of the car, that’s a “let’s chat” kind of thing isn’t it? Pictures 3, 7, 8, 10 and 13 also look like they may be talking. That would be nice, and here’s to hoping that all of the talking isn’t just about the case. I hope Nancy Won has done her homework and that the tone of the episode is correct for our show. And it looks like Baby is all better. I hope there is some indication at the start of the episode about all the work that needed to be done on her…… continuity and all that.
I am looking forward to this episode. I am excited to view the work and perspective of the new writer. I am interested to see the SPN spin on the Lizzie Borden story. This looks like the type of light episode I enjoy. I also must say that the boys working together and getting along agree with them; they even look younger in this season than in season 9!
New writer eh? Thats got me intrigued. Surely no one can do worse than you know who π
I’m looking forward to this episode, mostly because I’ve been to the Lizzy Borden B&B in Massachusetts. Even got me a Lizzy Borden bobblehead doll! :p I did not sleep there, I happen to believe in ghosts, I’m not crazy! I’ll let Sam & Dean do the ghost hunting. π
There’s Lizzie Borden bobble-head dolls? If I was a ghost I don’t think I’d be too happy about that.

Cool. Maybe after the watch, you can let us know how they matched up the detail of the place.

Morning Everyone Did anybody see the peice of paper Dean saw on the desk It has a drawing of the mark symbol on it ???
Yes, I just watched the producer’s preview and saw that. Very interesting and concerning. I wonder if either Sam and/or Dean has another vision while at the Lizzie Borden house? Dean’s only had the one and I’d like to get a little more information from TheD’s side, so he needs to have another. π We know Sam will be having more visions but I’d like to also learn a bit more about Dean’s. There’s only one thing that made me pause….in one of the promos there is a very short shot of Dean tied up and an ax in the frame above him. I am really hoping that we don’t get a trite, ‘brother tied up while bad guy/gal inexplicably monologues’ moment. I really hate those, they are often so clunky and unnatural. “Well gee! Thanks bad guy for giving us so much critical information that the writer couldn’t find another more creative way to tell us. And WHY are you telling us all this again? You are about to die….. you do know that don’t you?
Loved loved loved that episode! New writer — awesome writer! Episode 3 was just okay – but the other 4 episodes so far this season have been amazing! So happy!
Interesting this ability that Amara has to give bliss on tap (or was it just temporary) before taking someone’s soul. So are they insinuating that either Amara has (less likely) already taken Deans soul or once she reaches a certain maturation point is planning to take his soul last to become one with him. Like Dark Charlie and Good Charlie. And speaking of which that was an odd callback/shout out to the Wizard of Oz. Another tie to the dual personality split that she experienced. And who didn’t Dean reference? The tin man? The one without a heart? The same character that was mentioned/seen (head in motorcycle pouch along with ruby slippers) in the first Oz. Could be nothing, might be something. I liked that they switched it up so that you can be a functioning person even though ultimately you will kill.. as opposed to just being a mindless maniac. Decent episode for a first time Supernatural writer. Definitely felt old school.
