A snippet on episode 20 the backdoor pilot for Supernatural Trials
Do you have any scoop on the Supernatural spin-off? — Jonah
Supernatural: Tribes will air its backdoor pilot in the 20th episode of this season and longtime SPN fans will notice more than a few similarities to the original series’ pilot. After the death of a loved one, the show’s protagonist, Ennis, is dragged into the world of hunting and monsters. It comes as no surprise that Sam is far more sympathetic to the wannabe cop than his brother when they run into Ennis working a case in Chicago. And while Tribes lacks Supernatural‘s beloved sibling angst, Ennis has his fair share of Winchester-level daddy issues.
So Sam will actually have someone to relate to. Although more daddy issues, really? I am curious as to how this plays out.
IDK all I see is a wasted episode of Supernatural when things are probably getting really tense for the season cliff hanger. I hope I’m wrong.

I will give this a shot, but it does sound an awful lot like Vampire Diaries, which I really did not enjoy when I tried it. That being said, I am so happy Supernatural gets a season 10. Supernatural is still the best show on TV, and great to know there will be something good to watch one night a week next season. If Tribes turns out to be good too, that’ll be a bonus.

I will try 1 episode of this without the boys to see how it stands on it’s own but I really don’t think it is going to be very good. It just sounds kinda stupid . I mean come on i think we would have noticed if there were a Family of monsters ( werewolves I think)who controlled the Chicago area. And Ennis is just the ( inexperienced ) Hunter for the job.I don’t know why the PTB think that they need to try to spin off Supernatural when obviously what makes our show amazing is all the talented people involved in all aspects of the show combining their powers for good , crossing the streams and giving us the best show on television. There is nothing else like it. I doubt they can recreate the magic that is SPN in new ways that will keep us captivated. We love our show because we are so emotionally invested after 9 seasons of amazing story telling and by having the absolute best of the best of the best involved in every aspect of creating this roller coaster ride of emotions right through crazy town and down the brimstone lined road to hell and back ( literally). I just don’t think any show is up to these high standards of excellence that we come to expect and for the most part receive from our show. I hope I stand corrected. Good Luck Tribes
