Here are some misc items that have been clogging my Inbox over the last few days that I thought I’d share.
– Jared and Jensen both made the long list of performances to be considered for Emmy nominations. Jensen made the list last year (and possibly in season two as well), while this is Jared’s first time on the list. Sure, we know, a genre show on a network lacking credibility has a snowball’s chance in Hell of getting any sort of consideration, but this is an upward development in being recognized.
As for me, I’m holding out hope Supernatural can finally snag that Sound Editing Emmy. Hopefully the strong season will triumph over the Smallville status quo.
- The Season Four DVD in the US will be released September 1st. Want to pre-order, or order? Click on the link to the left here on the site for Amazon.com. The proceeds go to Support Supernatural’s fundraiser for “A Dog’s Life.â€
- Thanks to some info from Tigershire (courtesy of the BC Film Commission), it looks like shooting for Season Five will start sometime around July 1st. The early start date this year is because of the delays that will be caused by the Vancouver Olympics in February 2010. I personally wouldn’t mind the eye candy of Jensen and Jared at a few events. I can confirm the writers have been back to work for several weeks now.
There is no confirmed date yet on when Supernatural season five will premiere. I know The CW plans on premiering many of their other shows a few weeks earlier than everyone else, like the first week on September, and ABC today just confirmed Grey’s Anatomy will return on September 24th. So, I imagine Supernatural will be back at bare minimum one week before that. Given that it’s paired with The Vampire Diaries this year though, maybe it will premiere even earlier with the other shows. Stay tuned!
– Supernatural will be at the San Diego Comic Con again! Warner Brothers sent out confirmation. Hopefully with the early start date on shooting, they’ll have a long preview clip to share again this year. Here is the schedule they sent for their shows.

- Finally, here’s a clip released by The CW to get you excited about watching their network. Last year they released something like this, and Supernatural got one clip for all of two seconds. This year, there are a few more blips, including Sam, Castiel, and a longer gem from “Yellow Fever.†Sure, it still features mostly trash, but hey, it passes the time.
