Fan Video of the Week: Supernatural 14.04 “Mint Condition” aka ThrillerNatural
ThrillerNatural – Happy Halloween!
“Darkness falls across the land, The midnight hour is close at hand
Creatures crawl in search of blood, To terrorize your neighborhood
And whosoever shall be found, Without the soul for getting down
Must stand and face the hounds of hell, And rot inside a corpse’s shell
The foulest stench is in the air, The funk of forty thousand years
And grizzly ghouls from every tomb, Are closing in to seal your doom
And though you fight to stay alive, Your body starts to shiver
For no mere mortal can resist, The evil of the Thriller” ― Rob Temperton
It is time for some ghost stories and a special fan video of the week! I am so glad that this year we finally got another real Halloween episode on Supernatural. Will we get a Christmas one too? The stories I chose are really famous urban legends in my country. The stories are spiced up a little by me.
The Finnish Maiden
Throughout history, there are only few stories that live through the times. This story is by far the most famous in one of our castles. People who take the tour in Olavinlinna are told the tragic love story of the Finnish maiden. This story doesn’t have a happy ending. The focus in the story is the daughter of the castle’s Lord. She met a Russian soldier outside the castle walls and she fell in love with him. Her heart was hurting because they couldn’t be together and it was strictly forbidden to let Russians inside castle walls. She was tormented by this.
So much so that one night she opened the castle gate to let him in. This led to a series of unfortunate events and to her doom. As soon as the gaqtes were open, he and a squad of enemy soldiers ran past her. Sadly, her horrid scream was too late to warn the people inside. She was betrayed by her lover and he turned her into a traitor. In that time traitors were not treated kindly. The Russian forces were fought off and the traitorous lover was killed in the attack. He got off easy when you hear the rest of the story.
The maiden pleaded with her father, saying was innocent, that she did not know. The tears formed wrinkles on her young face making her look older than she was. Soldiers were pulling and ripping her from her arms to drag her to the dungeon. She was sentenced to death for treason and buried alive in the wall of the courtyard. Even to her last moments she screamed her innocence and she tried to rip her wrists and ankles free from the shackles making them bruised and bleed. Her scream was silenced with the last rock they placed on the wall.
Shortly afterwards a rowan tree grew on the burial spot and the white flowers which bloomed on the tree were said to be symbolic of the girl’s innocence but they withered quickly and seemed to rip blood. They say that sometimes they can see her face of horror on the wall, a woman in white walking nearby in the halls, or strange winds and weird noises on the wooden floors and stony streets like someone is walking or running on them. She is forever trapped to haunt inside those walls without justice.
The rowan tree no longer exists so it is debatable whether the story is actually true, but it has become a part of local folklore and is popular with modern visitors.

The White Dame in Mustio Castle
Mustio is Finland’s biggest non-christian wooden building. It was build in 1872. The most famous ghost in the castle is also a white dame. The legend is that she moves on the second floor of the building in a white dress holding up two candles in her hands. The people who visit there have been told that it is a bad omen if she is seen in the second story window looking at you. This is her warning you of danger. It has also said that the dame has been seen in the garden and in the graveyard of a church that is build nearby. She seems to visit the second family grave of the Linder’s.
Who was she? One of the possibilities was Jeanette Hisinger Magnus Linder III’s wife. Wife and mother who was in that time’s terms “mentally disabled”. They would need to lock her up in a special room on the second floor when she had her seizures from time to time. In good times she was living a normal life.
Many Unexplained Phenomena
On the third floor people have seen the grey madam whose elderly character appears on the mirrors in the castle. Also they say that a gypsy woman cursed the castle. She threatened that if the owners ever finished the third floor of the castle something bad would happen and to this day they have never finished it.

Supernatural – Thriller (Halloween Edit) by: AngelDove
Thriller by Michael Jackson
[Michael Jackson:]
It’s close to midnight and something evil’s lurkin’ in the dark
Under the moonlight you see a sight that almost stops your heart
You try to scream but terror takes the sound before you make it
You start to freeze as horror looks you right between the eyes,
You’re paralyzed
‘Cause this is thriller, thriller night
And no one’s gonna save you from the beast about to strike
You know it’s thriller, thriller night
You’re fighting for your life inside a killer, thriller tonight
You hear the door slam and realize there’s nowhere left to run
You feel the cold hand and wonder if you’ll ever see the sun
You close your eyes and hope that this is just imagination, girl
But all the while you hear a creature creepin’ up behind
You’re outta time
‘Cause this is thriller, thriller night
There ain’t no second chance against the thing with the forty eyes, girl
Thriller, thriller night
You’re fighting for your life inside a killer, thriller tonight
Night creatures call
And the dead start to walk in their masquerade
There’s no escaping the jaws of the alien this time (they’re open wide)
This is the end of your life
They’re out to get you, there’s demons closing in on every side
They will possess you unless you change that number on your dial
Now is the time for you and I to cuddle close together
All through the night I’ll save you from the terror on the screen,
I’ll make you see
That this is thriller, thriller night’
Cause I can thrill you more than any ghoul could ever dare try
Thriller, thriller night
So let me hold you tight and share a killer, thriller, chiller
Thriller here tonight
‘Cause this is thriller, thriller night
Girl, I can thrill you more than any ghoul could ever dare try
Thriller, thriller night
So let me hold you tight and share a killer, thriller
I’m gonna thrill you tonight
[Vincent Price:]
Darkness falls across the land
The midnight hour is close at hand
Creatures crawl in search of blood
To terrorize y’all’s neighborhood
And whomsoever shall be found
Without the soul for getting down
Must stand and face the hounds of hell
And rot inside a corpse’s shell
[Michael Jackson:]
I’m gonna thrill you tonight…
[Vincent Price:]
The foulest stench is in the air
The funk of forty thousand years
And grisly ghouls from every tomb
Are closing in to seal your doom
And though you fight to stay alive
Your body starts to shiver
For no mere mortal can resist
The evil of the thriller
[Into maniacal laugh, in deep echo]
Michael Joseph Jackson (August 29, 1958 – June 25, 2009) was an American singer, songwriter, and dancer. Dubbed the “King of Pop”, he was one of the most popular entertainers in the world and one of the best-selling music artists of all time. Jackson’s contributions to music, dance, and fashion along with his publicized personal life made him a global figure in popular culture for over four decades.
The eighth child of the Jackson family, Michael made his professional debut in 1964 with his elder brothers Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, and Marlon as a member of the Jackson 5. He began his solo career in 1971 while at Motown Records. In the early 1980s, Jackson became a dominant figure in popular music. His music videos, including those of “Beat It”, “Billie Jean”, and “Thriller” from his 1982 album Thriller, are credited with breaking racial barriers and transforming the medium into an art form and promotional tool. The popularity of these videos helped bring the television channel MTV to fame. Jackson’s 1987 album Bad spawned the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 number-one singles “I Just Can’t Stop Loving You”, “Bad”, “The Way You Make Me Feel”, “Man in the Mirror”, and “Dirty Diana”, becoming the first album to have five number-one singles in the nation. He continued to innovate with videos such as “Black or White” and “Scream” throughout the 1990s, and forged a reputation as a touring solo artist. Through stage and video performances, Jackson popularized a number of complicated dance techniques, such as the robot and the moonwalk, to which he gave the name. His distinctive sound and style has influenced numerous artists of various music genres.
Thriller is the best-selling album of all time, with estimated sales of over 66 million copies worldwide.[8] Jackson’s other albums, including Off the Wall (1979), Bad (1987), Dangerous (1991), and HIStory (1995), also rank among the world’s best-selling albums. He is one of the few artists to have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice, and was also inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame and the Dance Hall of Fame as the only dancer from pop and rock music. His other achievements include multiple Guinness World Records including the Most Successful Entertainer of All Time, 13 Grammy Awards, the Grammy Legend Award, the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, 24 American Music Awards—more than any other artist—including the “Artist of the Century”, 13 number-one singles in the United States during his solo career—more than any other male artist in the Hot 100 era—and estimated sales of over 350 million records worldwide.[Note 1] Jackson won hundreds of awards, making him the most awarded recording artist in the history of popular music. He became the first artist in history to have a top ten single in the Billboard Hot 100 in five different decades when “Love Never Felt So Good” reached number nine in 2014. Jackson is also remembered for his philanthropy and pioneering efforts in charitable fundraising in the entertainment industry. He traveled the world attending events honoring his humanitarianism, and, in 2000, the Guinness World Records recognized him for supporting 39 charities, more than any other entertainer.
Quotes
Sam: Hey, um… I wanna check up on you. You doing okay? I mean y-you haven’t really come out of your room in almost a week.
Dean: Well, since when is ‘okay’ part of this job, huh? Yeah, Cas is, you know, showing Jack the ropes and Dark Kaia and her spear are in the wind and we have no clue where Michael is or what he’s up to. And not that I’m complaining, but… the house is full of strangers, so…
Dirk: If ghosts are real, does that mean vampires?
Dean: Yep.
Dirk: Witches?
Dean: Uh-huh.
Dirk: Werewolves?
Dean: Unless it’s Godzilla, it’s real.
Sam: When I was in six grade, we were living in Bismarck. I had a huge crush on her.
Dean: Aww, that’s adorable. Continue.
Sam: So she invited me to her Halloween party. I said yes and I-I went over, and at first, everything was great, um… And then we started to play games.
Dean: Spin the bottle?
Sam: B-Bobbing for apples. Like I said, I had a crush, so the entire night, my stomach was in knots, and when it was my turn, I-I bent down, and… hurled. Everywhere. Lunch, dinner it all came up — on Andrea, mostly. Uh, people ran and screamed, and it was so bad.
Dean: That’s great.
Sam: I ended up hiding out in the woods until you finally came and got me.

Batman and Robin are the Dynamic Duo of DC Comics. Robin is actually the title given to Batman’s sidekick, a mantle held by several different people. Most people think of Dick Grayson, who was Bruce Wayne’s ward, as Robin. Jason Todd also had the title of Robin, before becoming the Red Hood. Tim Drake, Stephanie Brown, and Damien Wayne have also held the mantle of Robin.
Bert and Ernie are gay muppets.
Rocky and Bullwinkle are the squirrel and moose stars of a cartoon series that started in the 1960s. Crowley often referred to the boys as Moose and Squirrel.
Shaggy Rogers and Scooby-Doo are characters from the cartoon Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! whom Sam and Dean met in 13.16 Scoobynatural.
Charterers from a 1989 comedy, Turner was a cop played by Tom Hanks and Hooch was a large, slobbery Dogue de Bordeaux.
Ren and Stimpy was a cartoon series starring Ren, a volatile, crazy Chihuahua, and Stimpy, a big, dim-witted cat.
Thelma and Louise were the lead characters in the 1991 road movie of the same name. The two women are friends who end up on the run from police, because of the patriarchy basically. In the final scene they stop at the edge of the Grand Canyon. Neither wants to go to jail, and Thelma proposes that they “keep going”. Louise agrees and they drive off over the cliff. This, along with the similar final scene of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid , has often been suggested as a possible ending for Supernatural by fans.
