We have a song that causes violent deaths. We have Lucifer in Cas blowing up angels. We have Dean asking how to be happy. We have Lucifer taking off the Castiel trenchcoat and acting like Dean’s friend. We have Sam looking pensive. What do you take from this? What type of monster is making this mysterious song? Or is it a curse? Will Sam and Dean figure out that Cas in now Lucifer? Will Dean try to move forward and be happy by following his heart? Which way will his heart lead him? Let us know in the comments or in the discussion thread for episode eleven.
I usually dial down my expectations when it’s a RT episode, because he usually writes very Sam-lite eps, but the pics show a lot of both brothers so I’m being cautiously optimistic. Because we all know that the pics are never misleading!:)
I haven’t got my hopes for this episode but the last I did that was Baby and BOY was I wrong 😀
Thankfully the MOL Bunker is warded against all known evil. Wait, isn’t that Cassifer in the bunker talking to Dean? Never mind :D:D:D
Lucifer isn’t evil. He’s just misunderstood!
The Bunker isn’t warded against angels. Lucifer may be evil but he is still an angel. Same with the Steins. They were evil but they were also human. I would assume the Bunker can’t tell the difference.
That would be your interpretation. Lucifer may be an archangel, but he puts the evil in devil. I think all archangels have shown themselves to be evil dicks.
I agree they are dicks. With the possible exception of Gabriel. They have no respect for humans but I don’t think all angels are evil. They just mostly don’t seem to understand why God holds us in such high regard. But until they wanted to create paradise on earth I don’t think they gave us too much thought.
I don’t even give Gabriel a pass. He was sadistic and cruel in his “lessons” when he played the Trickster. What he did to Sam was vicious and was done, not to have him let Dean go, but to break him down to be vulnerable to the machinations of Heaven and Hell. At that time he wasn’t opposed to Heaven’s plan.
I agree but he had me when he couldn’t resist Sam’s tears. And he did come around in the end.
It’s true that the bunker apparently isn’t warded against angels or neither Gadreel nor Cas would ever have been able to enter. But remember how all of those warning lights flashed when the angels fell? I remember thinking that would be significant, and in some ep Sam would be puzzled that that instrument was registering an angel in the bunker when he was possessed by Gadreel. But that never amounted to anything, I guess they simply thought it would be a cool effect. However, bottom line is that the warded, impregnable bunker has become a joke. Remember the old MOL telling Sam he was entrusting him with the only key? And that if Sam threw the key away the bunker would be impossible to access? I keep wondering how many copies of the key the brothers made at Home Depot, because apparently they have given out about 5 of them or else they always leave the door open.:)
When Sam was curing Dean and Castiel was taking the scenic route to the Bunker to “help”, Sam told Cas that he would leave the door open for him. The only person we know for sure they gave the key to was Kevin. Gadreel could have taken off with Sam’s key (I’m assuming each brother had a key. ). Charlie always seemed to be brought there or they knew she was coming. Crowley was either brought there or summoned. The Steins blew up the door (maybe the MOL’s never considered humans with explosives). Who else has been there?
I was calculating that Sam, Dean, Kevin, Gadreel (because even if he took off with Sam’s, Sam had to have replaced it since he had one after Dean left), and Cas all possessed keys. Cas because, even if Sam left that door open for him one time, Cas just this season appeared in the bunker after he escaped from the angels. Although maybe the door was still broken from the Stynes? I actually find it ridiculous that they could so easily make keys anyway. I always assumed that the MOL had to go to a great deal of trouble to make a new one for each new initiate, because otherwise that MOL (whose name escapes me) would not have made such a big deal about the key if any old garden variety locksmith could make a new one. In the scheme of things, this isn’t a huge deal, but it irks me that so much of the mystique of the bunker has been stripped away the last couple of seasons.
What Cheryl said. Also the angels lighting up the board. I think it was too huge supernatural event that the board flared up. I don’t think it reacted to angels but apocalyptic signs. I would call falling angels by millions one. Also 1. angels weren’t evil in MOL days 2. They didn’t know that angels even existed nor walked the earth. 3. All angels that have been there have known where the bunker already is. Key can be made also. 😉

Also remember the wicked witch episode, and the fact that Crowley was zapping in and out of the bunker at the end of Season 9 when Dean was resurrected as an angel. So no, the whole warded against evil thing is meaningless and has been forgotten by the showrunner and writers. As far as warded against angels, no, I would not imagine it was warded against angels. Angels hadn’t walked the earth for 2,000 years until Castiel rescued Dean from hell so, as far as the MOL knew, angels were not evil (hah… suckers). That being said, I think that maybe the MOL heard of Lucifer. Yes, he is an archangel, but the fact that it requires demon blood for his vessel to contain him, and other archangels did not, he’s not your run of the mill archangel. Oh yes, they forgot about the demon blood thing, too. Castiel aside, Lucifer wanted to possess Sam and Sam, as far as we know, hasn’t been drinking demon blood for awhile, unless he’s making a demon blood vinaigrette for his salads :):):)
Well Dorothy brought the witch in to the Bunker. Crowley was summoned when Dean was hacking up blood and trying to escape the dungeon. Sam summoned him when Dean was resurrected as a demon. Otherwise he was brought to the bunker. I guess summoning trumps warding. I doubt the MOL’s summoned very many demons in their day.
I imagine if Lucifer had been able to convince Sam to say yes being in Hell it would have been fairly easy to fill up on demon blood. Remember Nick hadn’t had any DB before he was possessed. And Sam was powered up in the Chapel because Lucifer had no intention of ever giving his vessel up even after the Prize Fight. Sam was supposed to have been so weak minded by then that he would have done what ever Lucifer wanted him to do. When he was going to say yes he drank the DB in order to stay strong enough to fight back.
:):D
Regarding the bunker – I have thought about this a bit. It was warded against all known evil in Henry’s time. I do not think Angels were considered evil back then. Demons, yes. Vampires, yes. Werewolves, yes. But, I think they thought Angels were good. And – Even if that were not the case, Lucifer would be able to find it, since he is in Cas and knows what Cas knows now. Just my thought process on the issue.
Regarding the clip – why us it that these poor guys seem to encounter every cougar out there?
Looking forward to tonight’s episode – but after last week’s amazing episode, I do not expect it to be quite as – in Dean’s word – awesome. Still better than any other show on the air, though. So grateful for the show!
