Claire returns! Again! We have multiple people being kept in a dark creepy barn, one of who is Amelia, Claire’s mother as opposed to Amelia, Sam’s girlfriend or Amelia, Kitsune and apparently she didn’t just “leave to find herself” or if she did, she found herself in big trouble. (Somebody needs to invest in a book of baby names). Claire and Cas team up. Cas is taking care of Amelia. Claire turns quite a fighter. What do you think? Are you glad they are bringing back Claire’s mom to deal with that story? Do you want to see Cas talk to Amelia about what has happened? Are you excited for this episode?
Wasn’t amnesiac Cas also with an Amelia? That is Amelia N wow she hasn’t weathered well has she? I see Sam is down again but since this is apparently a Cas and Novak episode I imagine it won’t be brother focused. Again it just seems odd that these types of episodes get aired so close to the big finale. Hopefully I’m wrong but it looks like a momentum killer.
Amnesiac Cas was with a Daphne, I think.
yep – I think Cheryl42 might have been referring to 4.20 – The Rapture, where Castiel got dragged back upstairs, leaving behind his vessel Jimmy who ended up reconnecting with his family.
No Percy is right. Daphne, Amelia they all start to sound the same to me.
Ah yes, SPN’s ongoing fascination with the names ‘Amelia’ and ‘Don’ I commented on this before but it was a while ago. Anyway I think these are all the Amelia/Don connections:
Amelia Richardson
Amelia Novak (2 actresses)
“My wife’s name is Ameila!” (Gabriel)
Amy Pond (Sam acknowledges the DW reference by saying that the name is cute (it is impossible in the timeline but whatever) Amy Pond on DW is actually Amelia Pond
I am pretty sure there is another Amelia referenced at some point but I can’t remember where
Don Stark
Don Harding
Don Richardson married to an Amelia (!)
Don Harris
Donnie
“don’t take a joint from a guy named don”
Here is the Amelia link with an extra bit:
Mister, my name is Ed Coleman, my wife’s name is Amelia … I sell ad space (Mystery Spot)
AMELIA (Novak): Jimmy, you sell ad time for A.M. radio. (The Rapture)
What is it with these promo photos nowadays! Are they trying to tell the whole story in pictures or just spoil the most juicy parts.
Now when I got that annoyance out of the way (and I still think I need to lock myself in a bunker without computer that I won’t be spoiled for the finale). I really love the grim color in the photos. It feels like old time colors from old episodes and well. It is disturbing enough! And woah… What is that sword-weapon-thingy in that one guys hand. I have a “thing” with swords. 😉
– Lilah
So now Claire is a gun-toting sword-wielding member of the team? While it may have been a stretch having Charlie be a ninja fighter at least she had been in a war and possibly had some training and experience in combat. But Claire?
I don’t know Leah. We will see. I like her hair better and what she is wearing. She actually seems… I don’t know muscular. The gun is a no brainer. It is Supernatural and anyways. She is alone out there so getting protection is wise. She is actually braver than me. In Supernatural I would hide in a bunker with 101, how to be a hunter and keep everything out with salt and what not. The sword on the other hand. She might have picked it up or got her hands on it and used it as a reflex. I don’t think she is a ninja yet. 😉
I am so ticked though because of the spoiling spoilers that spoils at the moment that I am just grumbling. I had huge issues with Claire so I will see if this episode is a hit or bust. Like Rowena I will hold my judgement. 🙂

I am not excited to see this episode. I agree with Cheryl42 that the detour to “Cas saves the Novak family” is a momentum killer. When the theme or focus of the show moves from the profound to mundane teenage issues of a lost parents it gets soapy. I found Claire the child to be much more interesting, mature and capable of understanding the supernatural than whiny teenager Claire. I agree with Leah that the gun- toting Claire is a stretch from the juvenile delinquent Claire. I bet Claire kills the demon or whatever has her mom. Mere seasoned hunters (Annie) were taken out by a ghost but Claire will save the day. It is just pandering to the teenage target group to have a bad ass teenage hunter…. I was not a fan of the Krissy brigade left alone in a mansion to go to HS, pay all the bills, AND be kick ass hunters all on their own. I am glad they brought back the mom because as we all pointed out at the onset of this tiresome storyline that mom would never have left willingly. I hope this wraps up the Claire character and she is never seen again. Cas should just move on to a new purpose of taking down Metatron and retrieving the demon tablet and be on call when Sam summons him for help with that small problem of living with his brother who is melding into a demon.
The only thing that is giving me a glimmer of hope is that RT is writing this episode.
While it may have been a stretch having Charlie be a ninja fighter
Why Miss Leah. Is this you dipping your toe in the “give me a break Robbie T” camp? If so, welcome to the club. You will be receiving a tee shirt and a lifetime supply of dental floss in the mail.
Hi samandean, no plans just yet to dive into the camp (pool?). I like RT. However I am very curious to see how this is explained! Or not. But I’ll never turn down a new t-shirt and minty dental floss. 🙂
no plans just yet to dive into the camp (pool?)
As a former English major, I’m embarrassed that I mixed my metaphors. :p Where is that red-faced emoticon when you need it?
Claire is qualified to be a hunter;). When she learned that angels and demons were real and battling it out on earth, her response was to be pissed off because she had to live without Daddy. When her mom vanished , she was pissed again and thought her mom had to go find herself and left her to the horrors of living with grandmother. So far she never wondered if an angel or demon snagged her Mom. Then she turned to a life of crime and loving Randy because she had no Dad. Then the angel Castiel shows up in her life again, yes, a real angel, and instead of asking any questions about heaven or the supernatural, or even for help finding her mom, she is still pissed off and is only thinking about how Castiel can get her out of detention and playing the sweet daughter by fixing his tie so he can look like a real Dad! Then Dean kills her criminal Daddy who would trade her for sex. Dean wipes out all the men in the room but Claire is not daunted. She thinks Dean is a big meanie and she is going to seek revenge …. hooks up with two killers. Then she realizes killing is bad goes off down the road because she can handle life and take care of herself. So yes, it is now completely logical that Claire 😉 would be back as Dean’s armed backup.
Since you put it like that….;) Going to reserve my judgement until after the show but it is jarring to see her with a gun apparently being back up to Dean. Huh?
Leah, I was being sarcastic, sorry not clear. My point is that IMO the character Claire is a selfish immature brat. The supernatural world of angels demons are staring her in the face and she has no maturity or intellect to do anything but whine about herself. It was also ridiculous that she took on demon dean. I agree with you 100% she should not be anywhere near a gun or backing up Dean. It is absurd. Reserving judgment until after episode is viewed is fair but nothing is going to make me think Claire should be backing Dean.
Lol. I got that you were being sarcastic spnlit. I was being a tad sarcastic myself! 🙂 Even though I am pretty neutral about Claire as a character I think we are in agreement about the idea of her as an armed back up.
LOL myself. I guess you got the part where I think the Claire storyline is lame and mundane and wish Claire would permanently go away! But despite all that:) I objectively do not see her as the armed back up/ hunter either. 🙂
well they changed actors for Mamma Amelia, cuz that’s not the same woman.
she was on the Newsroom. jsyk
Who in their right mind would give a 17 year old girl a gun? Geez.
Her psycho pseudo “Dad” evidently.
*Removes comment after rethink as in certain quarters the sense of humor is somewhat lacking …*
Don’t mind me … nothing to see here …
No fair eilf. Whenever you remove your comments “upon further consideration” I’m instantly consumed with the burning desire to know what your original post was, and whose sense of humor is lacking. I really do have busy body tendencies–must work on squelching them.
So what does that make Dean for giving it to her? Or not taking the one she already has from her? Looks like she’s also a crack shot too. Ugh. Can we have Abbadon back please? She was the only female in years who could pull off bad ass. Clair and Charlie playing at being badass hunters is just preposterous.
I think Cheryl is talking about that sleaze she was living with. Who knows though, maybe it’s Dean who gave it to her. That just doesn’t make sense on a few levels. Since when does he arm teenagers and have them back him up?
I am sorry yes I meant Randy I was too lazy to go look up his name.
Oh yes… dead Randy. He DID give her a gun which she pointed at Dean. Didn’t they take it away from her then? How’d she get it back? You’d thing Dean would want to disarm her seeing as how she hasn’t made one good decision since she’s been back on the show. Now we get to see her go all vigilante for her mom. Yuck. Im not interested in this at all, not even a little.
Since Cas decided that the best way to make things up to Claire was to let a 16 year old girl be homeless and fend for herself, instead of making the really tough decision and admitting the social worker was right, Claire is a child in need of protection, then at least yay for Claire getting a gun to fend off the bad in the world. I mean Cas COULD have told Claire to wait where she wouldn’t have to figure out how to find food and shelter for herself and he would look for her mom and see if she had found herself. But no, having lived out in the world as a homeless person, who ended up being taken in by a woman who first asked for sex and then tried to (and actually did) kill him, Cas decides that a child should be allowed to experience that kind of life.
Sounds about right.
Claire never asked Cas, the angel to help look for her Mom, she just whined about her life and manipulated him to spring her from the detention home.
I think it is Claire’s revolver which she acquired in her time alone
Ever since Krissy taught him that teenage girls are the baddest badasses (say that three times fast!) of all.
You mean her “Pseu, Pseu, Pseudio” Dad? 😉
groan. Actual Dad rock….
Actually since apparently Nirvana is now ‘Dad Rock’ that is probably grandad rock.
WHAT? Nirvana is great! Cutting edge! NOW! Happening! Vital! Real! it’s… it’s …….. 1990’s! it’s …… 25 years ago?? How did THAT happen?
I know. Right? The first time I heard Nirvana referred to as Dad Rock I was horrified too 🙂 “Who is Kurt Cobain?” they say. “No I don’t remember where I was the day he died I wasn’t BORN yet” …. (cries)
Sorry! I groaned outloud when I typed it, I just couldn’t resist! 😉
Ouch. Granddad rock!!! Tho my teenager would have to disagree with you and called it Great Granddad rock. I cried. Shes ruthless!!! 😉
I am reasonably sure that you, me, E and SamanDean10 are approximately the same age, we are probably all cringing at the idea of Phil Collins being Grandad rock 😉 (and if I have maligned any of you ladies and your ages I apologize, I am only guessing from conversations … there is a more than reasonable chance that I am the oldest). I was in a hairdressers the other day and Madonna’s ‘Holiday’ was on the radio – and the junior hairdresser didn’t know who that was ….
Huh, I had figured me for being the oldest of the four of us, then a 40ish AlyCat (only because you have a teenager), and then a mid-30ish E, and then I really couldn’t figure you out eilf. But now that you used the word “hairdresser” (which is what I always say, and people think that’s delightfully old-fashioned) I’ll guesstimate early 40s for you? Which still leaves me the oldest. (and you note how I craftily neglected to give my age). Let’s just say that among the posters on my wall when I was a wee girl were David Cassidy, Bobby Sherman, and Jack something or other from HR Puffinstuff. I’ll bet nobody in the universe remembers that show besides me. And I saw Madonna in concert back in the day when her concerts were about good singing and dancing, rather than overblown production values and juvenile sexual gyrating and shenanigans. Boy, now I really do sound old!
I’m not part of you four, but I may well be the oldest. Let’ say I haven’t seen 40 in a long time.
You have me spot on Samandean10 🙂 I was principally guessing from convos about music and teenagers for all you others. There are a few others who post here regularly, like you Percy, that I actually know because it has come up before. I shouldn’t be so nosy really!
I always find it fun though how many of us think we are the oldest “talking to all these young’uns” and it is pretty much never the case 😀 I think it almost worries people that they feel there is a cutoff age to being a fan. I know that is how I felt about it until I realized what an incredibly wide range of ages there are in the people who comment on here. It is one of the best things about this site!
ETA: what else would you say apart from ‘hairdresser’? *puzzled*
I do go to a hairdresser at the hairdressers, the young’uns go to a stylist at the salon. Like Percys, I haven’t seen 40 in awhile being an ancient 56 (I still can’t wrap my head around being that old! inside, I still feel like a 25 yr old, just with creaky joints) I had my kiddos a little later in life, which is why I still have teenagers. And truthfully I do feel like I’m probably one of the oldest at the WFB, and I do find it slightly embarrassing, although I’m not sure why. I think I worry that other posters would not want to hear what “granny” has to say about SPN. Most of my friends/family would probably be amused/incredulous that I’m a member of a fandom. They know I like SPN, which surprises some people because they think it’s geared for younger viewers. So I have kept my burgeoning participation at this site a secret from all but my 16 year old daughter. She is a total fangirl for a variety of things so she’s cool with it. There, my dirty little secrets are out. Whew! Also, I keep meaning to ask you what ETA stands for. I only know “estimated time of arrival” which doesn’t fit your use of it.
ETA Edited to Add. I do beat you I’m 61. You are never too old to be a fan!
You are never too old to be a fan!
Agreed! And 61 sounds young to me. I think it’s the new 41.
It means, (in case it hasn’t been obvious, and I feel it must be :)) that I am incapable of leaving anything I post alone and often I edit it about 5 times – sometimes I admit that I have edited it and as Percy says it gets an ETA 😀
And Percy is right, never too old to be a fan. And if I recall correctly there is at least one poster with claims of being into her 80s. Does anyone else know who that is? I can’t recall. I don’t think she posts here any more, more’s the pity.
Stylist.
MID 30’s! I’m flattered! Not seen mid thirties in a decade! I live a young life in the city and am around college aged kids all day… that must be it. They think I’m ancient. HR Puffinstuff OMG, what a blast from that past. On my wall was Shawn Cassidy, Donnie and Marie Osmond and Luke Skywalker! 😉
P.S. I’m 48.
Funny that we had posters of Katie Cassidy’s future father and uncle. I too was a Luke Skywalker fan, which is fitting since Kripke considered Sam the Luke to Dean’s Han Solo. And I can’t believe you remember Puffinstuff– I don’t think it was on that long, and you being a (very significant) 8 years younger than I am, I would have thought it was off the air by then.
No one in their right mind…. but my money is on Dean.
Maybe Claire will have a monologue where she discusses how tough the hunter’s life is considering she’s been a hunter for all of three days.
*Takes entire theory of improbable people becoming hunters to its logical conclusion – contemplates the idea of being a hunter from the comfort of the sofa*
You know when I woke up this morning i didn’t realize the long and lonely trail this [thinking about having a] hunters life would send me on… the hardships, the suffering, the inability to find the remote. Did you other sofa-hunters (I identify now with the long and lonely road you have taken and will interrupt your stories with my own as often as I can) know it is possible to go over to the tv and change the channel manually? You can use dental floss to change the channel too but it is more difficult to manipulate.
I had dreams and ambitions. For example I was going to take a nap, but no longer, I must wend the weary way of …. not taking a nap but instead bemoaning the difficult life I have volunteered to lead since I have super hacking skills and actually could live in the lap of luxury if I wanted … is it me or does my monologue/storyline make no sense at all?
Pass the chips and dips please. Don’t make me move from this comfy spot on the couch to take them from you!
Ah, t’was many the bowl of dip and chips we used to have back in the day. They were better chips, and the salsa was spicier, you young bucks with your cheese-flavor dip don’t know what it is to have real spice!
Also, no I can’t pass you the chips, this is all about me! Me I tell ya …
ETA: hmm I suppose if this is about hardier hardships I should have written that differently. Ok. When I were a lad we used live in a hole in t’road, covered with a tarpaulin, and we had to fry us own chips and mash up our own salsa!
You brought up Hunting from the comfort of ones own sofa. In the spirit of the same you can’t really expect me to whip up a yummy batch of homemade salsa and guac can you? If it involves anything more difficult than straining to remove the lid from the jar and replacing the batteries on the remote, then I’m going to take a nap. You can do your own Hunting. Just lay off the dip!!!
Eilf, it sounds like you were cut out for the life of thinking about having a hunter’s life. Me, I just couldn’t hack it. It was TOO HARD! I kept finding myself thinking about other, less weighty matters, like poverty and world peace.
Also, apparently there is no such thing as an improbable hunter. I read that, in response to the clamoring of fans, episode 23 will feature an appearance by Sam’s Amelia as–you guessed it–a hunter, with cute Riot as her companion and sidekick. Hey, maybe she, Claire and Charlie could star in a Charlie’s Angels type spin off. Of course they would have to rename it because there is already a Charlie. How about Metatron’s Angels? It sorta fits, him being a (former) angel
Now, now you haven’t thought this through. Chuck is a nickname for Charlie. There are indications Chuck is God. So hunter Charlie is called Charlie to prove how special she is.
And now I feel bad, because I think Felicia Day is a nice person doing the best she can and all I want is for the show to dial it down a bit. Or reveal return from Oz Charlie is acting under a spell that makes her super-Charlie. Then she can come back and be a simple computer hacker, who knows more about the technological world than Sam and Dean because that’s her area of expertise and she has no real desire to fight and kill things. I don’t want to make fun of her I just want her to be not practically perfect.
Honestly I have no bones with Felicia at all. And if it is actresses and not their characters I think Lianne Baladon got treated way worse than Felicia does, with even LESS reason to blame an actress for the way her character is written. THAT is an actress owed an apology by a fandom (along with the actresses who played Lisa and Bela, and along with Ruth Connell). I don’t usually see the point in blaming any actor or actress for anything their character does, the nearest I have come to it is Travis/Cole but even that isn’t Travis really, he is just explaining where he thinks his character is coming from with pretty much zero understanding of the history of the show.
However teasing of a writer through pointing out some issues with a character (that are only issues because the writer has sort of lost the run of himself over her) doesn’t seem that unreasonable to me….
While I hated the whole idea of Amelia, as something Sam chose over looking for Dean, I didn’t mind the actress or the character after her first few appearances. Amelia was annoying and obnoxious at first, and unfortunately the actress had ZERO chemistry with Jared, but I was very fond of her in the surprise birthday party scene. And I really liked her in her final episode, and felt bad for her when she showed up at the motel room to find it empty. Truly, with the exception of you know who, I’ve liked, or at least tolerated, every female character on SPN. Although I do have a like/hate thing for Rowena. I mostly can’t stand the character, but I enjoyed her in Inside Man.
I agree eilf and would like to add a few of my own (recently revised) thoughts. I made a remark about Travis recently as an actor that I regret now. I saw an article recently where he seems to be quite upset and a little hurt when he read some of the online criticism. Jared and Jensen just kinda told him to basically ignore it, something about not putting himself out there. I don’t think he has been at this long enough to develop the thicker skin that is needed with this fandom (or any other fandom). The J’s have a developed a very healthy attitude about the fandom and separate the good things from the bad things. I think respectful criticism (and teasing) of the show, it’s writers, the characters is fair and acceptable. Some of it crosses lines. But the actors are doing their best with the material they are handed. These actors are very proud of their work and their characters so I am going to try and remember that in my posts going forward. And attacks on them personally online are just unbelievable. Jared, Jensen, Misha, Felicia, and many of the others have had to deal with the uglier aspects of fandom and I think it is so wrong. Show criticism is another thing entirely.
Just curious about where you read that. Was it about what he said regarding Stockholm syndrome? I think he was incorrect in what he said, but he seems like a pretty decent, down to earth guy from what I’ve read about him.
No..not that he gave big explanation to why he saaid sammyboy. This one (”http://legendarybitca.tumblr.com/post/114060140561/travis-aaron-wade-on-coles-nicknames-for-the”) or this one (”https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=873338096041415&id=102762056432360&substory_index=0″).
I think in one he says he caught Jared off a little bit.
I still do not agree with the decision they agreed to go with Travis;s decision…because If he gets that familiarity to them because of stalking them Sam should not. When Travis changed it so..the writers should have changed Sam’s dialogue too.
Those are not from the interview I was referring to. Although he does address the nickname thing briefly.
No it wasn’t that. I’ll try and find it, was an interview with the lady who was one of the authors of Fangasm I think.
I think this is it, samandean- https://fangasmthebook.wordpress.com/2015/04/14/catching-up-with-cole-behind-the-scenes-with-travis-aaron-wade-on-supernatural/#more-4184
Thanks Leah. It was an interesting interview, and I did feel bad for him. He seemed really hurt by the nasty things he’s read about himself. I always wonder if the actors can avoid the hateful comments or is it unavoidable if it’s on facebook or twitter. Personally I like Cole’s character and I wouldn’t mind seeing him again. But he better apologize for torturing Sammy! 🙂 I didn’t mind the nicknames, they seemed consistent with his character. I just expected Sam to object. And it would make sense if Cole becomes a badass hunter, unlike certain other characters who shall remain nameless. The only thing I didn’t like about the interview was the interviewer’s use of the word “squee.” I hate that word; it sounds like something middle school girls would say. I didn’t even like typing it–I just lost a little respect for myself for doing so.
😀
I too have no problems with Ruth Connell or Travis Aaron Wade or Felicia Day… and it’s not their fault when the writers F-up their characters. I try to keep my scathing comments to the characters themselves and off the actors. Felicia Day in particular seems like a very sweet woman and I like how she really built up her career in a very non-traditional way by creating her own opportunities and being creative…. I really admire that. And TAW was a marine and in special ops, also admirable. Now as far as the writers are concerned, I feel that criticism is fair game; as viewers we have a right to comment or criticize if we feel that the characters, plot etc… are not being serviced creatively and have a right to say so. Having said that, I think though that this can easily get out of hand. The time hundreds of fans of a certain “bent” inundated one of the writers on his twitter and even launched a twitter attack on that episodes director was over the line IMO. Where valid criticism ends and harassment begins is a line that I am not sure I want to be responsible for drawing for anyone but myself, but politeness, manners and plain common decency can go a long way to making sure it those lines aren’t crossed.
yes and when hundreds of the same bent chased a show producer off the internet for saying that things that were not part of the story would remain that way. There is some incredibly bad behavior that hides behind some pretty threadbare excuses.
However I hope nobody thought I was commenting negatively on anything they have to say? I hadn’t considered anyone else was having a go at Felicia, I was just clarifiying that that was not my intention. Since the show literally makes me want to cry with frustration at the moment, making fun of the Buffying of some of the characters (while the actual hunters with decades of experience get knocked out by a gentle breeze) is basically the only entertainment it is giving me.
I can’t be bothered making fun of Claire as being a slayer-in-training and backup for Dean while Sam is unconscious because that is just a stupid plotline too far (after an endless series of them this season) and hopefully isn’t going to happen.
No, no not at all. Just throwing my 2 cents in as usual!
Phew! Well I am all for the throwing in of cents 😉
Eilf, I hope you didn’t think my reply was insinuating you said that or was trying to put words in your mouth. I was just piggybacking off your post to offer some of my own (and only my own) feelings. I have NO problem with people criticizing the show respectfully, none.
LOL, Leah no! It just occurred to me afterwards that people might think that I might think that they might think … this is getting out of hand now 😀
Subject change!
What is YOUR favorite Smiths song? Come on admit it, you must have one!
Personally I like the slower, quieter songs…. I think my favorite is Back to the Old House….love the steel guitar.
That’s the acoustic version…. rather than the original version.
Gentle breeze? Oh c’mon now, it was at least a STIFF breeze… 😉
I guess I’ll just settle for making fun of her (Charlie, not Felicia). 🙂 How can you not? Sometimes I think RT is doing this on purpose, just to see how far he can push it. Maybe there’s some kind of bet with the other writers about how far he can go with Charlie without jumping the shark. Although in my opinion that bell’s been rung!
I agree with you so much on the writers seeing how far they can push something into the realms of the absurd before the fandom stops finding ways of explaining it away. They haven’t actually found that point with characters the audience are disposed to agree with.
I think all the writers must be bored and this is how they entertain themselves.
I wish they would focus a little more on entertaining ME.
From your mouth to god’s ears girl!
What?!? Charlie riding the shark while trying to jump the shark isn’t entertaining enough for you? What do you this is? Sharknado?
I think RT has one of those big spinning wheels they use for carnival games and he uses it whenever he needs another special power/ability for Charlie. That way in his mind it’s random and he can continue to fool himself into thinking he’s still a capable writer when it comes to her. 😉
Charlie is already smarter than Hawking and a better fighter than Bruce Lee–what the hell is left on the wheel? I shudder to think of what her next super power might be. Oh crap, it might actually be a super power. Then she will not only trump the brothers in every way, she will also trump her new bestie, Cas.
Yes, that bell was rung when Charlie rode the shark while it was trying to jump the shark…
You know, that could work; we have a blonde a brunette and a redhead. Mutation could be Bosley and Chuck the “voice on the intercom” who’s really God and sends our three intrepid hunters out on celestial missions from the heavens ala Highway to Heaven or that cheesy show with Roma Downey. Oooh and since Roma Downey had a brogue, maybe they could work Rowena in there (after she’s “reformed” of course) as their “Huggy Bear” type informant who’s also a powerful sorceress! There’s your spinoff! A quorum of Supernaturals most improbable and unlikeable characters….. those that are still alive anyway. It practically writes itself! It couldn’t possibly be any worse than Bloodlines anyway.
Maybe they could set it in San Francisco and use a Smiths song as the title music?
Ahhhh! The Smiths! I was a HUGE British Techno fan in college and during my “party years” (loooong over with now). I even had a few of their albums special ordered from the UK (never released in the US) on VYNIL! I was hard core. Which Smiths song do you think eilf? If we are going to do this spinoff right it needs a title and moody theme song. Too bad How Soon is Now has already been ruined…. Uh.. .I mean used (nice subtle Charmed reference, you know how much I lerv THAT show!). How about Bigmouth Strikes Again?… seems fitting.
Or maybe Heaven Knows I’m Miserable Now…… Hah!
*grin* I thought you would appreciate that. I love The Smiths too 😀 The theme tune was definitely the best bit of Charmed …
Well honestly it sort of has to be ‘You Just Haven’t Earned it Yet Baby’ doesn’t it?
.
Yes… that works well. Now, for a title…what are we going to call this monstrosity?
“This Monstrosity”? It’d be satirical, like ‘Jump the Shark’
This is an important question I will put a bit of thought into it
“The Good, The Bad, and the Teenage Demographic” ….
(I thought we were using Rowena, Charlie and Claire, not sure about Amelia)
“The Good, the Bad, the Forgotten, and the Teenage Demographic”
No, the “angels” are Amelia, Claire and Charlie. Metatron is Bosley, Chuck is the voice on the intercom and Rowena is Huggy Bear. It’s perfect. How about Ninja Moths…
How about “Kick-ass Chicks on a Mission from God.” Although then it would have to be a cable show. Or what about “Kick-ass Angels of Justice.” There’s also “Waifs That are Much More Kick-ass Than They Look.” Wow, my ideas kind of suck. Why am I so fixated on kick-ass? This here writing thing is harder than it looks.
Finding names for things! It is hard!
I can’t believe I didn’t realize that my casting idea provided us with a blond, a brunette and a redhead. How fortuitous! And I LOVE the idea of Chuck as the voice of Charlie. Rowena as Huggy might be a stretch, I’ll reserve judgement until after the pilot. Now I’m thinking about Starsky and Hutch…ahh Hutch, you were my favorite! But pardon my ignorance, who is Mutation?
Hah!! Sorry that’s what happens to Metatron in autocorrect!! Seems kind of fitting really.
Actually that’s pretty darn funny. I had wondered whether it was a nickname for Metatron that I hadn’t heard yet.
😀 Sounded like one of the X-Men
Eilf, it sounds like you were cut out for the life of thinking about having a hunter’s life. Me, I just couldn’t hack it. It was TOO HARD!
Mine is a long and lonely road …. that I never see because I haven’t left the sofa ….
Confucius say, “sometimes the hardest journey in life is the one from the sofa to the refrigerator.” Think about it, Grasshopper.
Thinking is hard. My sofa is not. I need some food now that you mention refrigerators.
I draw the line over Riot driving the car…
It’s Tooces!
Crap… I mean Toonces. Damned autocorrect ruined my joke. 🙁
Yes, I was really feeling dumb that I’ve never even heard of “tooces” until I read your next post.
Nope. I got it even with the auto correct! Toonces!!! How could I ever forget the car going over the cliff!!! 😉
I don’t know about that. Riot is pretty smart. Remember how he led Sam right to the birthday picnic? It’s almost like he’s the Charlie of the dog world.
Dogs not dumb. He likes cake!
This comment was about The Werther Project, not this episode. My bad.
It’s a universal quote… it applies here too. 🙂
im going to wait a week to watch this episode, the pics look awful, i see that i’ll be adding this episode to 2 of my lists(the unconscious Sam eps, and guest star lists, without even seeing it just by those awful pics. 1 more thing, why the name change from Daphne to Amelia, Claire’s mom?
Daphne is the woman who found Castiel after he emerged from the river “unclothed” and with no memory of who he was. That was the Born Again Identity. Amelia is still Amelia Jimmy Novak’s wife.
And married him before he even had a chance to dry off!!!
Wet Cas……wanders off to ponder the possibilities.
So that’s what they’re calling it now? Pondering? Sorry!!! 😉
On the bright side, Shante, Sam actually hasn’t been unconscious in quite awhile. In fact, I can’t recall the last time off the top of my head. Of course, he can’t be knocked unconscious if he’s hardly in the episode, or not involved in any of the action, as has been the case quite frequently this year.
:):D
it appears that i am right about Sam being unconscious in this ep, i re-winded the promo 3xs to make sure it was Sam
oh ok, thanks
Well, at least we’ve had a nice run of an always conscious Sam. It couldn’t last forever.
yeah
