Big Whoop, lets get on with the show.
When Dean gets in the car and asks “How’s the case” he pauses and gives Sam a look that seems demonically smug. Not sure yet if there is any meaning attached.
Yeah… so lets make sure everyone knows that Sam’s lying. No mention of the lie that Dean is keep though… again.
It would not be Sam’s lies and Dean,s are two different animals on the show and are written as such .The emphasizing of Sam’s lying shows how silly it really all is while Dean keeps a dangerous lie to himself.
I admit that the lies comment really bothered me. Partly because, as you note, Dean is keeping some pretty big secrets as well, but mostly because when Dean was lying about how he cured Sam last year and that Sam was actually possessed by an angel and didn’t know it, we got not ONE acknowledgement that THAT lie might reasonably put a strain on the relationship. Instead we got lots holding Dean’s hand and telling him how abused he was when Sam didn’t hop to and forgive him immediately.
