CW Official Press Release for 11.08
The official description for 11.08 airing Dec. 2.
“Just My Imagination” — (9:01:59-10:01:59 p.m. ET)
RICHARD SPEIGHT, JR. DIRECTS; NATE TORRENCE GUEST STARS —
Sam (Jared Padalecki) is shocked when his childhood imaginary friend Sully (guest star Nate Torrence) makes an unexpected appearance. Sam can’t understand why he’d see Sully now but what’s even more surprising is that Dean (Jensen Ackles) can see him, too. Flashbacks reveal young Sam’s friendship with Sully and why he needed him. Richard Speight, Jr. directed the episode written by Jenny Klein (#1108). Original airdate 12/2/2015.
Sam had an “imaginary friend” and we get to meet him. This means we are getting a new young Sam, Dylan Kingwell.

I will miss Colin Ford. he’s been Young Sam for so long, but he couldn’t play him forever.
Richard Speight, Jr. is directing. I’m glad to have him back in a new capacity. I’m looking forward to seeing how he does as a director. I really like the fact that Supernatural keeps giving actors the chance to direct.
What do you think? Are you excited to see some of Sam’s past? Why do you think he needed an imaginary friend? Why can Dean see Sully? Or rather, why didn’t Sully let Dean see him before now? Are you ready for a new Sam? Will it be a jolt after all these years of Colin? Share the thoughts in the comments or on the discussion thread for episode 8.
Yes, will miss Colin Ford, he was the best. I do hope that the new Sam is tall. That growth spurt had to happen soon. Love the imaginary friend idea, that will be awesome. Flashback scenes are one of my favorite things about this show. The worst flashback was at the boys home where they messed up Sam and Dean’s ages. Dean looked 14 and Sam in the car looks 7. Almost ruins the episode for me. Please give us lots more flashes, Show.
Colin Ford was great as young Sam. I’ll always have a soft spot for him because of that. I wish him luck in his future career. I am excited about this episode. I think it could be really good. Richard Speight directing, well that’s gravy!
.
Alas Collin Ford is 18/19 years old a at this point in time. Thing about Sully, the imaginary friend is…SPOILER…………………………………………………..Dean…………can……………….see……………him also.
I agree, Colin Ford was such great young Sam; excellent young actor. His role as young Sam was so believable, I still think of him when viewing present Sam.
