[i] “We got work to do” [/i] is an important moment from the show’s history because it sent the Winchester off on their journey at the end of the Pilot. I can’t help but feel that they should have held off from paying homage to it until the final episode. The 200th episode should have been an appropriate occasion but that scene seems to be too random.

I really felt like Dean was looking for something in the trunk, and then got all casual when Sam came out… it would be interesting if it were the first blade he was after, but it can’t be that (since he saw Crowley get it).
Maybe that scene is a reference to how Sam and Dean often used to argue whether there was a case or not. However, it seems weird that Dean picked up on that piece of news because it seems more plausible that the teacher was kidnapped by a human.
PS. The number on the door is 200!
…..and the name of the motel is the 200 Motel.
I think it’s just a case of dean needing to work…saving people for him is probably the only way he could redeem himself after all he’s done as a demon. what I’ve noticed is that they are at a hotel. in the last eppy they were by a lake. what i’m wondering is if they’ve even been back to the bunker since dd tried to kill sam…..feels like they’re both avoiding going home….maybe hunting with sam is the one way in which he can feel a sense of “home”….especially if he hasn’t been able to bring himself to get back to the bunker.
“We got work to do!”, I like that little callback to earlier days.

I think the reason Dean looked around a little nervously when he opened the trunk was because he really didn’t want any bystanders getting a look at the arsenal in the trunk.:)
I can see why they might be avoiding it Nappi, some of the recent events probably make it feel less than “Home Sweet Home”.
I do love that they remembered the room number from the 100th episode. That was very cute. Dean sure made up to Baby didn’t he. She looks fantastic.
The shot of Dean walking away from the camera with his shirt pulled up a little in back is a pretty good shot of Dean.
Loved the call back to “We’ve got work to do” and to the room numbers.
Didn’t really feel that Dean was searching for anything in particular in the trunk of Baby-just cleaning up and taking care. Good, open comments between Sam and Dean. Yay.
I am really excited for tonight. Thinking about carvers interviews and him regarding this ep as a love letter to the fans. The article noted that the writers are aware of what the fans want:) in addition to the obvious fan fiction by some of the fans, like singing and possibly shipping, this ep is supposed to acknowledge the fandoms pov via a group of females….it has me thinking that we might be getting to see Sam and dean through a female perspective…Jared mentioned a stereo type Sam and dean….well what have we females mostly desired? What do we often wish for more of? More Sam pov. More discussion. Maybe a long desired apology. Perhaps the boys liking themselves a bit more. This episode is based on the love these particular fan girls have for Sam and dean. What the boys see is what we want for them, for the most part….I just think this eppy is also meant to be a lesson for our boys and my hope is that they will see themselves as we who love them see them…this will get them to accept who they are and understand ea. other more. It’s a step towards liking themselves and loving ea. other in a healthier way. That’s what I think anyway;)
i know it’s not the primary emphasis for the 200th episode but any ideas what the MOTW is this week? There are some promotional photos of Sam walking around with what appears to be a wooden stake.
I have no clue regarding motw:p:D the only monsters I can recall being killed by wood…..trickster, if he had really been one:D, the pagan gods from a very supernatural Xmas and Tamara and her now dead hubby used some kind of wood for demons…..other than them….got nothing….maybe we will get a new monster….that would be interesting

As Dean said in the promo, there’s no singing in Supernatural, and, in a high school musical of Supernatural, I don’t think there will be any whore of Babylon :):)
yep, that confused me. I’m gonna take a guess and say some sort of Tulpa – they did mention that some of how Sam and Dean are portrayed in the play is based on stereotypes, and Tulpas are a physical materialization of a thought, resulting in the creation of a being or object.
They also mentioned only one other male in the episode besides Sam and Dean? Any guesses – maybe a blast from the past?
I don’t know who they are bringing back but I do have my own fan fiction ending for this ep.
Instead of ending with the boys, I would like it to end with chuck, sitting at his computer working on the latest chapter of the Winchester gospel. There would be no contact with anyone else, he wouldn’t show up til the last minute of the ep and he would be reading aloud what he just finished writing, which would be Sam and deans last scene followed with…..”and then”, and then show is over. We would all be basking in the glory knowing chuck is still out there keeping tabs on our boys and writing their story……the Winchester gospel;)
