New Spoiler for Supernatural
Here’s a new casting spoiler from EW.
Rachel: What’s the word on any female characters on Supernatural this season?
While females generally don’t have the longest life span on this CW fan-favorite series, the show is currently casting the role of Claire Novak, a 17-year-old tough, angry teenager described as “punk-rock-pretty.” Claire is sarcastic, smart and defiant because of her rough past: she has bounced from foster home to foster home since the death of her father and the disappearance of her mother (we’re guessing from supernatural forces?). Even though Claire is always in trouble, underneath it all she has a big heart. Let’s hope that heart makes her a survivor!
I an so STOKED! I’ve wanted Claire back for quite a while.
I think there was talks about just this family in the spoiler threads and I can’t be happier for them returning to a story in the past and specially this one. I wouldn’t mind if they returned to few other stories they have left hanging. (This is not criticizing btw. It is just that they could have much more story material from the past also) I mean they have Cole that is also someone from Dean’s/brothers’s past and now we seem to get the only other person that Castiel has had as a vessel. I don’t know why but I am very VERY very exited for some reason about this spoiler.
I know it is a joke but I actually don’t like them joking about the short lifespan of women in the show but not for the reason most would think. But because the men are beaten, tortured, killed, used the same amount or even more on the show on hideous stuff and people are not jumping to barricades and yell that they are wronged. How I see it is that all are equal in Supernatural and they don’t end up well in it because even the brothers don’t. I am on the wagon “Don’t kill people” or “Don’t kill awesome quest stars” in a none gender way because why would women need to be special if the piling hill of dead/tortured/possessed men are not? Everyone seem to have the same destiny in Supernatural unfortunately.
Sorry, needed to let that out. I am a woman and I find that annoying. 😛
Anyway, hope she doesn’t die like Gadreel, Kevin, Benny, Naomi + many other cool quest characters. Always giving us the feeeeels. 🙁

PS. Got also an idea… As Claire was Castiel’s vessel and we know that angels leave some of their grace to the vessels… I wonder if this is a way to Castiel get his grace back? Just a thought.
PPS. It’s also funny as it seems the one who got the spoiler seem to have no idea how big of a deal and who that character is. 😀
Okay, what happened to Claire’s mother?! I glad to see what happened to her. I think. And I hope this means we get a definite answer and what happened to Jimmy.
Lilah Kane, I find it really annoying too. NO ONE is completely safe on this show. The only legitimate bitch I can see is that now that there are regulars, none of them are women. But we do have several regularly recurring women. Great women. Not stereotypes or one-dimensional but characters you honestly love and root for. And that’s enough for me with this show.
With all the hanging and badly unresolved plot threads over the years they’ve decide to go and revisit Claire Novack?! Sorry, but I couldn’t care less. BTW, wasn’t Claire like 15 in season 4? Shouldn’t she be like 20 now? Sounds like she’s Crissy 2.0.
