What can we look forward to? Now with CHCH promo!
First the synopsis
“Mother’s Little Helper” — TUESDAY, MARCH 25 (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET)
MISHA COLLINS MAKES HIS DIRECTING DEBUT — Dean (Jensen Ackles) struggles with the after effects of the Mark of Cain. Meanwhile, Sam (Jared Padalecki) hears about a case where straight-laced people are turning into violent murderers. Sam suspects possession and suggests to Dean that they investigate, but Dean tells him to go without him. While interviewing the local townsfolk, Sam meets an elderly woman named Julia (guest star Jenny O’Hara), who tells him the Men of Letters came to town in 1958. Julia tells Sam the story of a young man named Henry Winchester (guest star Gil McKinney) and his female companion, Josie Sands (guest star Alaina Huffman). While Sam is away, Crowley (Mark Sheppard) tests Dean. Misha Collins directed the episode written by Adam Glass (#917).
Here’s the preview for Mother’s Little Helper
The brothers’ feud gets worse and the separate. Sam explores a past where Henry and Josie investigate in a town experiencing something supernatural. Dean tells Sam to leave, then hooks up with Crowley telling him that Dean wants to kill Abaddon. We have Henry pretending to be a priest (shades of Nightmare) and Abaddon (or Josie) in a nun’s habit. It looks interesting.
In the sneak peek we see Crowley and Dean in deep conversation over pool. Crowley is playing Dean like a fiddle.
The promo pictures show Henry and Josie dressed as a priest and a nun. Sam investigating the same town that Henry and Josie went to in 1958.
And from Misha’s new Huffington Post interview.
Yeah. There are a few things operating here that I think are pretty essential. In the episode, we see the birth of Abaddon as we know her, and she is obviously a central nemesis this season and her role continues to grow. We have Crowley trying to recruit Dean, to help him or collaborate with him further. That plays out as a very, very important story line for the rest of the season. And we see Dean wrestling with the addiction-like jonesing that he has with the Mark of Cain and the First Blade, and the wedge that that’s driving between him and Sam. So there’s a lot of mythological groundwork that’s being laid in this episode.

So this looks to be a big episode that will kick off the end of the season. MOL backstory, the Mark of Cain, Sam and Dean going their separate ways. It looks like a great episode. What do you think?
Here’s the Photo Gallery of all the promo photos, including some shots of Misha directing.
Looking forward to this one; maybe we get some background on Josie, how Abaddon possessed her and why she went after the Men of Letters? In last season’s As Time Goes By, Larry (old MOL guy) mentioned that Abaddon was a hired gun – maybe we find out who or what hired her? Crowley has also mentioned he was trying to find/get in to the MOL bunker; well, he finally did in the last episode; I’m sure Sam and Dean didn’t let him wander around but he must have learned something from his time in the bunker, outside the dungeon.
Very unusual for Sam to go out on a hunt without Dean; usually it’s the other way around. I don’t think the feud gets worse, especially considering there wasn’t as much animosity between them in the last episode. If anything, sounds as though Dean is going to pull away/isolate himself from Sam. Crowley is really playing the brothers, particularly Dean; looks like Dean is going to be his bitch, at least for a while. I still have a sneaking suspicion that Crowley learned something from the angel scribble that Kevin and Sam had him translate, maybe some back door that lets him make an end run in to heaven while the angels are fighting it out?
