Nathaniel Buzolic and Lucien Laviscount Get Starring Roles on Supernatural Tribes
I know that we haven’t had a lot of exciting things to say about the new “Supernatural” spinoff, “Supernatural: Tribes” but the news got a lot better (at least for me personally) when two key cast members were announced today.
I still scream at “The Vampire Diaries” for killing off great characters like Alaric (still sobbing!) and Kol (played by Buzolic), the other original brother that would have been PERFECT for “The Originals”, so I was rather excited to hear that Nathaniel Buzolic was cast in “Supernatural: Tribes” today. According to TV Line, “Buzolic will play David Hayden, a shapeshifter from one of the ruling monster families who’s been living as a human, having given up the monster life years ago.
I’m less familiar with Lucien Laviscount, but looking at his acting pedigree (he’s a Brit!) his casting also seems like a great choice. He will play lead character Ennis Roth, who’s “a resolute police academy trainee whose fiancée is killed in the crossfire of the monster war. The tragedy leads him to the truth about what lurks in the shadows and becomes a monster-hunter himself.”
You’ll get to see this entire planted spinoff as Episode 9.20 of “Supernatural”, slated to air on April 29th.
So what do you think, does this casting encourage you or do you need a lot more to be won over?
Nahhhh! I think I’m going to need at least some previews or photos or something. The way it stands now, I tried liking the Originals. I really, really tried but I just couldn’t get past all the endless, and even more endless talking. I hated the Vampire Diaries and I thought maybe, the Originals would be more grownup but I just wasn’t feeling it at all.
Of course I’m going to watch the Pilot, that’s a given, but in my mind’s eye I just keep thinking of the spinoff as Supernatural Lite and not getting any more enthusiastic about it.

Well I have to admit that I have never been a fan of The Vampire Diaries and so with that being said, I have never followed The Originals so these actors mean nothing to me. This in itself may be a good thing because I have no expectations of either of them and can view the spin-off show with an open mind. I for one plan on giving it a chance just because it is connected to Supernatural, our original love so I have to give it a try and hope for the best. Who knows, we might just get a few scenes/episodes here and there with the boys in it and any extra air time with them is a plus in my book. 😆
