CW Prez Mark Pedowitz Talks Supernatural Season 9 at TCAs
CW President Mark Pedowitz, who to “Supernatural” fans is our most favorite person at The CW ever, took center stage at the Television Critic’s Association winter press tour to talk about his network. As it does every year in the history of the network, someone asked about “Supernatural’s” future. Here’s what was said, via The Hollywood Reporter:
“While no decision has been made on a ninth season of the Jared Padalecki-Jensen Ackles thriller, Pedowitz said both leads are under contract for next season. “Creatively, the show is in a good place,” he told reporters of a show for which he has been a big supporter, noting that he’s pleased with its total-viewers increase after moving from Fridays to Wednesdays (paired with breakout Arrow) this season.”
Michael Ausiello at TV Line considers a ninth season a forgone conclusion (as do I):
“At the The CW’s portion of the Television Critics Association’s winter press tour, network president Mark Pedowitz was bullish on the prospects of the show continuing. “We are pleased with how Wednesday night has worked out with Arrow and Supernatural,” he said. “Creatively, the show is in a great place. There’s always a good shot [it could return].”
Here’s something interesting from Variety that involves Misha Collins:
“The CW is looking to continue its digital reach and will continue offering online-only programming. “Stupid Hype” debuted last year, and Pedowitz said the CW is developing a toon series for the Web with Misha Collins (“Supernatural”) and a live-action Web series with Wilson Bethel.”
Yay, Supernatural love! It never gets old.
Check out the articles for information on other shows too, including the surprise news surfacing a few days ago about a spinoff series of “The Vampire Diaries” involving Klaus about the originals.

Surely hope Supernatural is back for season 9 and 10-at least… Love this show!!!
Jeremy Carver has a three year plan. If the show is doing well all-round, there is no reason it will be canceled. I think it will go to ten, like Smallville.
Yay!

above ten seasons would be weird
