Supernatural’s Ratings Big Against The State of The Union Address
January 31, 2006. That was the last time “Supernatural” aired an original episode against the President’s State of The Union Address. It’s season one, and the show is airing on the now defunct WB network. The episode was the most ridiculous “Route 666” and drew a staggering 2.6 in the demo and 5.82 million viewers. It remains to this day the highest rated SPN episode on record.
Last night “Supernatural” aired against The State of the Union for only the second time. No, it didn’t reach the heights of that season one airing, but it did pretty damn good. “Sharp Teeth” scored in the final ratings a 1.2 in the demo and 2.76 million viewers. That’s the most since “Weekend at Bobby’s” aired in October of 2010. It even got Supernatural some high profile press releases.
