Supernatural Spoiler Roundup, August 25th
Well, I wouldn’t say there has been a boat load of new “Supernatural” spoilers since our last update, but a few have trickled out, especially with Salute to Supernatural in Vancouver happening this weekend. Here’s what I’ve been able to gather:
Episode Titles
– We have a few more episode titles!
9.05 – “Bad Boys” – From the casting call, it supposedly involves a waitress named Robin who had an adolescent fling with Dean twenty years ago. I’ll hold judgment, but usually the old lovers thing rarely works out on this show.
9.06 – “Doggie Style” – Sorry, still cringing from last season’s “Man’s Best Friend With Benefits.”
9.07 – “Heaven Can’t Wait” – Ooh, interesting!
News From Vancon
DJ Qualls dropped the news he’ll be back in season nine. Of course he has no specifics, other than he was permitted by Adam Glass to tell Jared he’s in season nine and will be back sometime this Fall. I guess his return isn’t too much of a shock, but I’m glad to see it’s happening! Garth definitely grew on me in season eight.
Wondering if Adam will be back in season nine? Jim Michaels confirmed that it is NOT in the plans right now. Not really a spoiler so much as a “if you heard something it isn’t true” statement.
Nine scripts have been written so far, and episodes have been sketched out all the way to episode 14. They’re definitely ahead of the game!
Here’s something from Misha Collins! Remember, we cannot be 100% certain he’s serious (especially at a con), but this sounded like one of his more serious statements. Sex will happen between Cas and another character. He wouldn’t say more than that. Everybody speculate!
Hoping for that musical episode? Well Bob Singer, a surprise guest at the Jared and Jensen panel, pretty much shot that down too. I guess that’s another “not spoiler.”
Yes, that’s really all that was revealed, but nothing like some more tiny teasers to help us get through the next…GULP…44 days?
Oh no, cue the Destiel happy dance. Not that I think for a second that will happen 🙂 I think we can safely rule out Charlie. Meg not dead ? Hmm, Jodie Mills? I hope not. Someone new and random? It will be interesting, that is for sure. Wait, wasn’t he married? He still remembers his amnesiac state doesn’t he? So not is first time then. I hope it doesn’t happen in episode 9.06.

I agree, one hundred per cent, so I was hoping this would be a riff on the exchange between Sam and Dean in “Croatoanâ€, after Dean locks himself in the clinic with a supposedly infected Sam:
Sam: Dean, this is the dumbest thing you’ve ever done.
Dean: I dunno…. Remember that waitress in Tampa? (shudders)
But then I read this tweet by CW publicity director Suzanne Gomez (Aug. 22): “Just read EP 905 of #SPN and almost cried. Well done, @AdamGlass44. Well done. Have tissues by your side for this one, folks.â€
Doesn’t sound like a funny one. Hmmmm…..

Yeah, I’m really, really hoping this is a ‘let’s get the fans riled up’ title, and they’ll release the real (and far-less cringe-worthy) one later. 😡
Cried huh? I wonder if that’s the episode where Sam finds out what the big secret is. From what I heard during those interviews at Comic Con, speculation was Sam would be pretty crushed when he found out. Or very mad. You know, 50/50!
I’m with you alice. an adolescent just another word for a teenager, most likely 14-16 years old. i really doubt that dean would’ve had anything serious at that age especially given his issues and what we’ve seen him like at 17. according to dean, cassie is the first girl he was ever honest with. so unless they totally change canon….
i’m leaning towards crying being about something not related to a girl he knew twenty years ago.

It is described as a fling, but even if it was an ongoing thing, doesn’t mean he mentions to her that he is a hunter like with Cassie.
There was a tweet yesterday (from Russ Hamilton, I believe) which showed the cover page of a technical report for 9:06 with the name changed from Doggie Style (shudders) to Dog Dean Afternoon. Still a little too cutesy for my taste but better. Let’s hope it evolves again by the time that episode airs.
First, I apologize if this is the wrong place to post this but since it’s vaguely spoilerish, I thought I’d err on the side of caution. Hopefully mods can move it to the right place if I’ve screwed up.
In BTS pix and in the promo photos for Season 9, I’ve noticed that Jared as Sam seems to be sporting more facial scruff that usual. Since the season premiere picks up right after the finale and Sam’s very ill, that makes sense – shaving would not be at the top of the priority list. But the scruff seems to have remained through the following episodes.
Yes, it looks good 😆 but perhaps there’s more to it.
I know that Bobby appears in the premiere, and that he’s somehow tied in with Sam’s recovery – so I’m wondering if the scruff is tied into that? You know, Bobby being bearded and all…
I just rewatched a montage of Season 8 highlights (I think it was the one screened at ComicCon) and it featured the scene where Sam ‘carries’ Bobby (or his essence/soul, I suppose) out of Purgatory inside his arm, before releasing the soul to Heaven. That got me thinking maybe that physical connection is somehow tied into it. I’m just not sure how…
Thoughts anyone?
