Supernatural Spoiler Roundup: March 13
I haven’t done one of these updates in a while, and for good reason. There has been some slim pickings when it comes to spoilers lately. However, I managed to find a couple this time, so it’s time to share!
First, a spoiler that was originally reported on EOnline, the show is casting for Metatron! Here’s the spoiler:
Haley: Supernatural?
Prepare to meet a new angel: Metatron! The CW hit is currently casting the role of the aged, hunched angel, who is the Scribe of God. While he’s a bit of a scatterbrain, he knows how to get the job done. Think Obi-Wan Kenobi meets The Usual Suspect’s Virgil Kent. Fans can expect Metatron to stick around for at least three episodes and potentially next season as well!
I swear, I’ve seen this spoiler posted in a ton of places, and every single one has it wrong. I love The Usual Suspects. It’s Verbal Kint, not Virgil Kent. Who fact checked this one? However, doesn’t Obi-Wan Kenobi meeting Verbal Kint sound like an Edlund idea?
Another one came today from EW’s Spoiler room:
And that’s all! I am posting as well in another Spoiler article the preview photos for episode 8.18, “Freaks and Geeks” so check that out on our page.
Metatron (still reminds me of Megatron from Transformers) is a game changer. Whichever team he joins (Winchesters, Demon or Angel) will not need the tablets and/or Kevin to decipher them since he wrote them. They say he’s scattered brain but that he can still get the job done so I think that means he still has all his memories. Putting the two spoilers together, what happens if Kevin dies? He is not taking care of himself at the moment and already admitted to having a stroke. I remember in one of the episodes that it was translated off one of the tablets that Metatron was retiring from being the scribe that he was tired of the whole project. I don’t remember the exact words used. So I hope that means that he is going to be joining Team Winchester. The other reason I hope for this is when Sam gets over his head in the trials, they really are going to need someone on their side with information at least on how to fix the issue and who best to know but the being who wrote the tablets in the first place. If they can’t have God, Metatron would be the next best option. On the other hand, I don’t want it to be a simple snap the fingers and heal him. It would be more interesting if Dean is sent on a set of trials in order to heal Sam. At least I would prefer that.
Why can’t Sam finishing the trials be what heals him? Why can’t Sam have an active role in saving/helping himself?
hell yes or I am done with this show.
