Looking Back at S6: The Supernatural Season Six Awards – Part Two
It’s part two of the Season Six Awards! A lot of the biggies are in this one. Here we go!
(Part One of the Season Six Awards can be found here.)
There have been many really funny scenes, but this one from “The French Mistake” wins hands down. Heck, it takes number one on the all time list. Naturally, it’s from an Edlund script but it’s actually Jared, Jensen, and Misha that make this the most howlingly funny, outrageous scene sparkle.
“Bad news–looks like we’re going to have to do a little acting.”
‘What?”
“Dean, grimly. And yet somehow you’ve got no problem with it.”
“Don’t look at the camera. Look anywhere but the camera.”
“If there’s a key, then there has be a lock. And when we find the lock we can get the weapons, and then we can have the weapons, and the lock, also we’ll have a lock I imagine because we open it and of course the initial key that opens…”
“We need to get all three that crap.”
“What?”
“That’s how he does it.”
“Oh yeah.”
“Do we really need all these lines? I think we’ve got it covered.”
“Who wrote this? No one says penultimate.”
“Gun. Mouth. Now.”
“IMHO, J & J had a late one last night. ROFLMAO.”
We won’t even go into the conference call with Sera in which of all the alarming events, Jensen is living at Jared’s house. BWAH! Love art imitating reality.

Bravo, Alice! Great choices for all the awards although I still think Sam’s hair looked great even after he woke up from his coma! Oh, if only I could be so lucky! 😉
I really love Castiel trying out his Pizza Man impression on Meg. That’s the only time that I’ve really seen both guys be totally speechless. Their expressions were priceless! That’s one scene I can watch over and over again. 😀
Soulless Sam really did have gorgeous hair. No sleep = more time to condition and comb perhaps? It’s probably the ONLY thing missing from that gratuitous scene. Come on, we all want to see him working the hair, right?
Love all the awards. I still say Sam and Dean should never ever quit their day jobs. They will never be able to act. Ever.
I’m having alot of fun with these, thanks! I liked coming up with my own awards. I so agree with that badass award in Twihard & the bad acting in French mistake being all time series winners.
BEST QUOTE – YESSSSSS!!!!
I cannot describe the whirlpool of my feeings seeing that scene and hearing Sammy telling it to himself.
The “simpleness” of the quote makes it so efficient.
Instant all time favourite of mine!
Favorite Winchester death – Robo!Sam? Hmmm – that’s a bit of a ‘careful what you wish for’ thing becuase he’s not really ‘dead.’ He’s back to being part of Sam now instead of closed off behind Death’s wall. He’s the part of Sam that’s always been reigned in by conscience(soul) – that darkness within that Sammy’s always been fearful would take over — maybe since he ‘won’ the cage match, Sammy won’t be afraid anymore . . . . .
Robo!Sam – work out and hair — AWESOME!!!!
Love these awards, Alice — such fun!!
I love your publication is excellent. ! I wish I could write more but my English is very poor and I can not put everything I think
I know how you feel. Sometimes my Brazilian English is not enough to express what I want to say. So it’s a joy when someone else says what I’d like to say myself. But I think your English is fine. 🙂
Thank you!!! You see, Soulless Sam in not all that bad. He still has fantastic hair. Jared should have his hair insured.
Best line, gratuituous scene, badass moment, funniest scene. Perfect choices. Congratulations! 🙂
Your awards are awesome Alice! 😀
Such fun! Now I’ve got to go back and look at your previous ones again. What a chore! 😉
I so love reading these (at work!) it makes the time go by so much faster and enjoyably to boot. I agree with you on everything. That shot of Soulless Sam working out, OMG! It had me drooling, and now these pictures…well I had to wipe the drool off my keyboard!
I have a quote from Dean I really enjoyed, it’s when Castiel is explaining about Sam not having no soul and he says: “Again, like I’m five”. I work in a high school library and I use it all the time when the students are “trying” to explain what their darned projects are about. So now when I need them to explain it again I say, “Again, like I’m five”! I get the weirdest looks, it’s priceless.
Alice, first, how are you feeling?
FYI, Starship had a number one hit in 1986 with, wait for it, ‘Sara’. 😆
Anyway, I totally agree with best quote. We know after six years that Dean sees Sam as his world, and now we have confirmation that Sam feels the same about his big brother. 🙂
Sorry, but as a tried and true DeanGirl, I have to put sniper!Dean as my number one sexy guy.
Is there an award for Smart!Dean? I would put his moment in ‘Mommy Dearest’, in that catagory. It is more of a brain moment than a bad ass moment.
Bad ass moment => sniper!Dean YUM!!!!
I would like to add an honorable mention of best skin crawling moment by the Soulless One: when we found out that he killed Robin (the girl bartender in MWK2M) in the coldest of blood.
Best Winchester Death: the Soulless One shot by our Sammy. That is a given, hands down, no competition. 😆
I think the best inside joke in ‘The French Mistake’, is that everybody is SO stunned that Jensen and Jared are talking to each other. Especially knowing how close (like brothers 😀 ), they are in real life.
This is fun. I await the next batch. 🙂
Awesome choices as always! I am especially glad that the Badass award went to Dean killing the vampires, because the intensity had me on edge. Dean sitting there, tense, just hanging on, with his foot on the vampire’s severed head wowed me.
I hope you are feeling better!
Hi Alice,
As always, these are fabulous.
I second the idea of a Smart!Dean award. It never seems fair to me that his intelligence gets downplayed or overlooked. Because he is plenty clever intellectually, and has oodles of street smarts and instinctive reasoning.
Shirtless!Soulless!Sam was exceedingly gratutious. But for the drool factor, I must say Sizzlin’! Sniper!Dean was right up there too. (What is it about a man cuddling up to a long-distance killing device that is so “charged”.. forgive the pun.. Must be something evolutionary, she mutters to herself.)
And I think there should be a best Dean!Hair award. I’d nominate the hat head at the end of Frontierland, because it makes him look so damn cute, and like he’s about 10 years old.
Thanks again for these, and I hope this means you are well and truly on the mend.
Love these…though my most skin crawling moment came when Crowley was torturing the vamp linked to the dead Mother of All…
Hope you’re feeling better …
Love the awards … ‘Specially the Gratuitous Nakedness One … Much more shirtless Sam and the whole fandom would die of acute forgetting-to-breath-itis, and Dean with any sort of firearm always makes me go all girly.
Only one tiny quibble … How does the Alpha Vamp manage to do anything with those nails? I can’t even put my own boots on when I’m wearing falsies ( Obviously some specialised undead talent thing, like not impaling your own tongue or getting your cape caught in doors … )
Thanks for this. Always a lot of fun! But, Sorry, the best Quote: “Yeah, Aim Lower.” I love Bobby’s lines!
Hi Alice
I’m absolutely loving this. Can’t wait to see what you have come up with in Part #3.
Sorry I am late to this.
I actually checked the awards out at work. But our darn system doesn’t allow me to post a comment there.
You are right you got some of the biggies in here. I absolutly love the funniest scene. That would have been my pick too.
These are a highlight of every summer Hellatus!!
Thanks so much Alice!
Oh, Alice, if there is something like a best SeasonAward Article, this is it! I love all your choices, and went from laughing, drooling, cringing, etc, etc, etc…
Thanks for this! I needed this after a heavy working day!
🙂 Jas
I couldn’t question you on a single award here, Alice, I genuinely couldn’t.
I could watch that Funniest Scene two hundred times in a row and not grow tired of it because there’s always something new going on in the background to pick up on. I think it’s topped the suicidal teddy bear scene for me (and that was always going to be a tough one to beat). I’m giggling even looking at the pictures.
Best quote: Hands down winner. A quote for the ages, really. A mere fourteen words, the perfect example of where less is more (is everything, really)
Best badass moment: Most definitely. Actually, in that image, Dean looks like a hawk, waiting to pounce, or swoop, or whatever it is hawks do. Poop and lay eggs or something, (not that Dean would be doing that, obviously)
Best skin-crawling moment: Check. While smiley, bloody-mouthed Sam might not quite have had the same ‘Sweet holy fuck!’ impact as the opening scene of ‘My Bloody Valentine’, it wasn’t far off. I can’t even bite my nails so the idea that Sam kept biting to get enough blood to draw a fairly large Devils Trap kind of turns my stomach. (My first thought in that scene was that Sam was drinking his own blood for the demon blood kick, my second thought was that he had peed on the ceiling. I was really tired that day…)
Actually, and I might be in the minority, but the image of the mannequin all tethered up at the start of Mannequin 3 also made my skin crawl. The sight of the hooks reminded me of Dean all hooked up on the rack in hell so it did make me a little uncomfortable.
Gratuitious Moment & Best Hair: If all Soulless Sam did in his soulless time was work out and tend to his hair, it was most definitely time well spent. Not sleeping definitely has its advantages.
It’s good to see that your recent knock out hasn’t affected your sense of judgment, Alice and I hope you’re all A OK again.
Really enjoyed reading this, Alice. What a laugh I had! This is a great website and I enjoy visiting it often.
