It's preview time, The 6th last episode of the season! Noooooooo!
And it appears to be a filler. Noooooooo!Ok, let's take a look.
THEN
They killed Meg! You bastards!
Cass hitched a ride on a Greyhound bus with only the angel tablet for company.
Dean quoted the Hobbit, Sam teased him and they agreed to be honest with each other. (This could possibly constitute messing with the natural order of things).
Naomi and Crowley are currently screwed (and were possibly screwing at some point).
NOW
Krissy, remember her? She of the father and daughter hunting team, who were supposed to give up the life? Well, apparently, not so much.
Here's the synopsis.
SAM AND DEAN RUN ACROSS A NEW AND UNUSUAL TEAM OF HUNTERS — Sam and Dean investigate some recent vampire kills and are surprised to learn Krissy Chambers (guest star Madison McLaughlin) is involved. They find Krissy and learn her father was killed and she's been taken in by a man named Victor (guest star Adrian Hough), who has taken in a group of orphan kids to teach them how to hunt. Victor is helping the teenagers find the vampires who took their parents so they can get revenge. Sam is intrigued by Victor's method of giving the teenagers a home life as well as a hunting life, but Dean is suspicious of Victor's motives. John F. Showalter directed the episode written by Adam Glass.
John's last episode was "Man's Best Friend with Benefits" (don't judge him)! Adam's last episode was "As Time Goes By", that was a pretty good one! He also wrote the first episode with Krissy Chambers "Adventures in Babysitting" which I found on the average side.
Vampires huh? Huh!
Let's look at the CW promo
The Victor guy seems to have Sam tied up. This is equal parts good and bad! So torn! Ok, maybe you didn't need to know that! It's bad, obviously *blushes*. Looks like the brothers end up well and truly at odds with the Victor/Fagin character. I don't know about teaching kids to chop vampires heads off...but then...our favourite brothers ever were raised like this. That would be pretty conflicting/confronting. Neither are particularly impressed with how they were raised like soldiers. But on the flipside...it's kept them alive. It'll be interesting to see how they nut through this thorny little conundrum.
Preview clip!
Better than us? Pull your head in and speak for yourself! You're sitting with the two best hunters ever. They freakin' stopped the Apocalypse, locked up Lucifer, killed the mother of all monsters, fought off Leviathan. Sam went to law school too, you git. Better than us? Pffft! Also, like Dean said...watch it. No one disses Bobby. Don't you just love how Dean does that. I know I do. That guy's already rubbed me up the wrong way. Oh and, since when has revenge ever been a good thing... Victor is definitely off on the wrong foot!
Oh looky here...CHCH promo!
If any two men would know what being raised as a hunter does to a kid's headspace and their future headspace, it's Sam and Dean. This could be kind of interesting huh? Seeing that reflected back at them.
Mr Carver apparently doesn't love us anymore...we haven't had a preview since 8.14. Come back to us Jeremy! *Mumbles* geesh, anyone would think he's busy producing a TV show or something!
Sometimes filler episodes surprise us. Sometimes they have scenes at the beginning or the end that tie through to the previous episode or the episode to come, or the mythology. Season 8 has been pretty good like that, constantly giving us little reminders as to where we're at. So I'm hoping to maybe get a scene with Sam and Dean talking about the tablets, or the trials, or how Sam is going, or how they're going, or who Naomi is (now Dean knows her name), or Meg, or Cass, or whether Dean needs 10 minutes (sorry...), or something.
So what do you think? Are you Team Krissy? Yes/No. Are you looking forward to this episode. Do you wish it wasn't a filler or do you need a mini emotional hiatus after last week?
Let me know your thoughts - hit me in the comments!
Thanks for reading. See you in reviewland.

You know, this mightn't be bad. I've generally enjoyed the filler episodes this season (Everyone Hates Hitler and Remember The Titans were excellent) so maybe?
My mantra... ooooohm......
It will be good, it will be good, it will be good.
I like your mantra!
.... the images in my brain now.... thanks a lot!
Thanks. I intend to enjoy!
We know Benny is coming back.
If Rick's in this or the later episode I will be so stoked! I had lunch with him when I was in LA and purposely did not ask him about the show, just in case he was keeping something secret squirrel!! We drank beer, ate cupcakes and talked of travel instead.
So you got to rub shoulders with another celebrity. I'm so jealous. You had dinner with Mark P. before and now Rick. How does one get so lucky? I'm in the wrong line of work for sure. Oh well, one more night to go and then there will only be 5 left. So sad to think it is coming to an end already. How will we make it through the summer?
The Mark thing was part of an event. But there was only 3 of us so it was quality time. It was a couple of (awesome) hours.
Rick yeah, well Rick was different. That was lunch we arranged when I told him we were going to be in LA. He's a very nice dude.
And maybe I'm wrong, but we've seen very little of other hunters so far in Season 8, so maybe these kids ARE the new generation and will have a bigger role in the future?
I liked the episode - even though it was totally predictable. I knew Victor was the killer as soon as we met him, since it was clear the vamp they killed was not the killer. And, as soon as Sam and Victor headed out after the blue van, I knew how that would end. That is frustrating, since I am not that smart and Sam is, so he should have known too.
That being said, liked the brothers working together, looking out for each other, liked the kids, watching Dean with kids is always fun, and Dean's line to Aiden at the end was classic! The good luck was perfect!
Also glad to see we are back to the trials next week - the teaser looked so good with Sam up against Crowley and Dean going to Benny for help.
