Fan Video of the Week: Supernatural Reflections 13.01 “Lost and Found”

Our Supernatural year started with The Road So Far – “Nothing Else Matters” by Metallica, which is already a huge deal. For this premiere, I thought that it would be easiest just to write about the events shown in the recap that lead us to here, and boy there was a lot. The word I chose for this article was “birth”. Here we go.

Then

The brothers got Mary back which was a shock for the both of them. Castiel crashed down to a field. Dean searched with Mary for Sam that was held captive. Mary was shocked also that she was brought back. Lucifer took the President of United States as a vessel and he had a one night stand. The brothers, Crowley, Castiel and Rowena exorcised Lucifer. Kelly wanted to die first but then she embraced motherhood with Castiel by her side. Eileen was briefly among us and she got to hug Sam.

Castiel was happy when he saw Dean and that he didn’t die so he glomp-hugged him. We got some Reservoir dogs walking, picture watching and Winchester family hugs. Friends supported one another. Dean almost lost himself but he also fought through Mary’s happy place to bring her back. We had exploding action and we met Lily Sunder and her quest for revenge. We had guns, Impala, and Crowley got punched by Dean. We had different MOTW that Dean, Mary and Sam took care of and Sam killed a god Moloch with the Colt. A vampire got his head chopped off by Mary but that was not all.

The British Men of Letters base exploded. (Good riddance). Sam shot their computer and Jody killed Doctor Hess. Lucifer “killed” Crowley part 1 and Castiel killed Ishim with an angel blade. Sam pierced Ramiel with a spear and killed the Alpha Vampire with the Colt. Later Dagon destroyed it and Dean saw the whole thing. Eileen was killed by Ketch and a hellhound and Sam saw her body. Kelly started to transfer chaotic magic around their hiding place when she was closer to give birth. Castiel was like a terminator and he stayed close by to a blast. Dagon blasted angels, Claire got some inside knowledge how to be a monster and Crowley saved Castiel by breaking the spear. Kelly juiced up Castiel and he burned up Dagon. A rift was opened to another dimension and Castiel guided the boys in. It is not a nice place but they met AU Bobby. Kelly gave birth and blasted Mary away. Crowley sacrificed himself. Lucifer stabbed Castiel in the back and then he pulled Mary into the AU. Kelly was dead and Sam followed burned footprints to the nursery where he found the Nephilim. Castiel rested dead on the ground and Dean was in shock about everything.

Muse are an English rock band from Teignmouth, Devon, formed in 1994. The band consists of Matt Bellamy (lead vocals, guitar, piano, keyboards), Chris Wolstenholme (bass guitar, backing vocals, keyboards) and Dominic Howard (drums, percussion).

Muse released their debut album, Showbiz, in 1999, showcasing Bellamy’s falsetto and a melancholic alternative rock style. They have sold over 20 million albums worldwide.

Trivia and Minutiae

A “brood mare” is a mare, or female horse, used for the express purposes of breeding.

For a split second in the season’s new title card, an inverted cross followed by an inverted pentagram flashes before “Supernatural” explodes on the screen.

As Miriam was speaking with Dean outside Pirate Pete’s Jolly Treats, she can be seen writing “Bitch” on the Impala’s dirty backseat window.

This episode marked the first time that Sam has killed an angel.
