Here’s what we know about episode 13.
The CW press release

WHO DO YOU LOVE? – Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) investigate a set of murders on Valentine’s Day and discover they are dealing with an ancient curse. Once kissed by the curse, the person is marked to die. Phil Sgriccia directed the episode written by Eric Charmelo & Nicole Snyder (#1113). Original airdate 2/10/2016.

Sneak Peek:
And the promotional photos:
Something is ripping out people’s hearts. As Dean puts it, an ironic werewolf or, according to the description, an ancient curse. How can a curse kiss someone? Is the curse embodied in human form? ! I’m guessing the girl with the long hair is the Person In Peril for this week and the boys are protecting her? A medical examiner is showing Sam something on a victim’s back will that give us them a clue to the curse? We do have a headline “Girl Dies of a “Broken Heart”, so the monster is killing people by doing something to their hearts? Give us your thoughts in the comments or in the discussion thread for episode 13.
They have been very hush hush with this episode. It might be just another filler or they are keeping something a secret. Sneak peek is missing and Jeremy Carver preview which we did not get last week. We might get nothing more though. The Kiss & Tell trailer was very moody and great.

They released the sneak peek late last week as well. I’m expecting it today. Producer’s previews seem to be off the table for some reason. I’m not too upset, Carver always strikes me as a guy who HATES giving spoilers, so most of his interviews don’t reveal much.
Probably going to be another Dean focused episode.
I’m not sure about that, most of the pictures are of Sam…… and since we have a Dean centric episode coming up (the submarine one) maybe this one is more Sam focused. I hope that this somehow plays into what’s going on with Amara. That whole plot line has come to a screeching halt, and there really wasn’t much there to begin with. It’s time to get that story moving. It has great potential and I’d like to see that potential realized instead of squandered like the MoC.
Snyder and Carmello are my second least favorite writing team on this show, but the banter between the boys was good here, so I am keeping my fingers crossed. And I love Phil Sgriccia’s irreverent and humorous episodes so here’s to hoping that things are at least passable. Unfortunately I can’t watch this one either because of work; (missed last week too, although I’m guessing I didn’t miss much, especially when it comes to myth arch). So, I’ll be here early Thursday morning to see how the episode went! Take good notes for me!!
You know I think they just have a stills photographer on set once a week / episode and they take photos of whatever is going on on that day. It is why we get huge spoilers occasionally (and at least one shot if I remember rightly of Jared acting like Sam was tied up/down when he visibly wasn’t :D) The SPN PR is a touch disorganized.
Yes… that’s true. I am still irritated by the synopsis for Paint it Black which read that victims were “disemboweled long term from the inside out” when it was neither long term nor disembowelment. That episode was all kinds of awful though, so I could see how the PR people could have gotten confused, yet they aren’t that accurate on a good day?
Question though: why would they have a still photographer on set when they could just get stills from the dailies? Maybe that’s why we get stuff in photos that never make it into the final cut?
See that I don’t know. I am pretty sure I have seen the still photographer in a behind the scenes clip or listened to someone from the set talking about filming and mentioning them and it stuck with me because I had always assumed before that that they took from the video. Back when they were shooting on film stock I imagine it was way easier to also take photos for advertising and maybe old habits die hard … It might simply be that it is two entirely different groups of people, and so, while it would be easy enough for the editors to take a frame from the dailies if they were doing the publicity someone else doing publicity might find it easier to just do their own thing. Photos can be uploaded to online in 5 minutes even from the set so it would be handier.
‘Course I could be completely wrong about and/or inventing from whole cloth all of this. 😀
The description for the Into the Mystic was way off as well – Sam and Dean investigate a case where people are dying after hearing a mysterious song. If there was a song, I must have missed it.

Beauty is in the eyes of beholder, or in this case in the ears. May be they took that scream for a song 😀
Maybe they wrote the synopsis the way they did because it they wrote it as it really was no one would have watched! 😉
But Dean gets a hickey, and he’s always been the ladies man. Plus the episode description said whoever is kissed (by someone?) is cursed. Trailer shows Dean kissing away. Hmm I wonder who the episode will focus on 😉
You might want to rewatch both trailers. Neither of the kissing scenes are Dean. So is red lip lady our MOTW or the dude?
Too Tired Motel. 🙂
Is that a camera lens in the teddy bear?
I am just happy to move on from last week to get back to the hunting and saving, the family business with Sam and Dean getting along.
I thought that sneak peek was hilarious. Some good one liners by both of the brothers. It reminded me of the scene in My Bloody Valentine where Sam reminded Dean that he had renamed Valentines Day as “Unattached Drifter Christmas.” Now I’m looking forward to the ep.
Thanks, I was trying to remember what Dean called Valentine’s Day. 🙂 Looking forward to this episode too.
