Jeremy Carver Talks The Future and Promo for Supernatural Episode 11.13
Here’s the promo for the next episode and a new interview with Jeremy Carver on what is yet to come on Supernatural.
Jeremy Carver talked to IMDB and Teases Major Character Arcs.
The Winchester brothers are on the road again. But what a mess they find themselves in. Castiel is possessed by Lucifer, and Amara – the biggest evil the series has seen – is still unleashed. “Obviously, we have everybody in quite a predicament. So, I think I’m excited to see how the boys are going to deal with facing the darkness while, at the same time, once they realize it, figuring out how to deal with how Castiel is possessed by Lucifer,” executive producer Jeremy Carver tells IMDb.
In addition to the season’s overreaching arc, Carver promises some fun stand-alone episodes in the back half of Season 11, as well as certain character combinations the showrunner is so excited about that he refuses to even tease them. “It never gets tiresome writing the journeys of these two boys. I’ll call them men now. They’ve earned that,” he laughs. “We got very lucky with the premise of this show in that it allows us to constantly reinvent ourselves. By way of example, we have an episode modeled after Das Boot and another episode coming up that’s delving into the world of small-town professional wrestling. Between the horror and the giggles, it just seems like there are endless places to go.”
For more immediate spoilers, here’s the new trailer.
Something is ripping out people’s hearts. As Dean puts it, an ironic werewolf. It’s implied it’s not a werewolf. What kind of monster could this be? As to Jeremy Carver’s teasers, how do you think Sam and Dean will diverge in their opinions on how to handle Amara and Lucifer? Will Dean tell Sam about the depth of his bond with Amara? What do you think we will find out about Cas’s motives for saying yes to Lucifer? Does Amara want more than to find her brother and end the world? Share your thoughts in the comments below and in the discussion threads for episode 13 or the general spoiler/rumor discussion thread.
Dean kisses a girl. Yeah I’m betting Dean gets cursed. *sigh* Another Dean focused episode
As usual Carver doesn’t say much — I think everybody has speculated on one or two of these ideas. I don’t know why they interveiw him
Not much on the short video at least we are grtting back on track for now. I must say I’m loving the Boys being back together they act so well together and they look like Bros again, they even seem “happy.relaxed” considering what their up against, this is what was needed Sam & Dean fighting the good fight. Dean. drinking. eating and out with women and Sam scolding him and reading the lore or checking the computor wonderful their back.
Carver’s interviews are useless. I wish the CW brass would put the kabash on Carver giving any more interviews. Can someone please interview Andrew Dabb?
As Jen said above, nothing new or noteworthy was divulged in the interview.
Sam said no to Luci, but thinks that Luci may have a valid point on how to take down Amara. This will cause a difference of opinion between Sam and Dean. Well, duh. I mean we’ve had a entire season so far of Winchester love, time to shake it up with secret keeping and deal making. Carver did allude to “certain character combinations”. I don’t know, maybe Sam will throw his hat in with Satan. At this point, I think Luci has messed with Sam less often than Dean…the brotherhood really has been in a sad state in recent years.
Dean is trying to figure what his personal dealio is with Amara. And he’s still struggling with being honest with Sam. That’s helpful, thanks Carver.
Regarding Cas, I don’t really understand what he said about Cas. No spoilers about what Amara’s intentions are either, at least nothing new we haven’t already talked about in great detail. No mention of Crowley.
Lilah posted elsewhere – which I do find very interesting – that Mark P and Misha are both in the submarine ep. And the title of the submarine ep is The Vessel. What does that mean? Can we please talk about this?

Spoilersssss 😮 *is happy about Mark P. being in another ep though*
“There is no spoilers here” -Waves hand in Jedi way- 😀
– Lilah
I agree. Not a spoiler, just interesting food for thought.
There are no spoilers here @.@
How can Mark P and Castiel be in the same ep Lucifer can’t live top side without a vessel he can live but as a pile of nothing — I saw that description for The vessel but I think people read it wrong. I read it as saying ” Lucifer playing Cas agrees to send Dean back to 1940 something and while Dean is searching for The Hand of god — Lucifer in Castiel’s vessel torments Sam ” Confusing ?????
I think that this could be the episode were they find out what Cas has done thus the ref. to The Vessel All gets confusing LOL
According to the Carver interview that Percy and Lilah posted, Sam is still struggling with the after effects of having been in the cage, so maybe Sam is having nightmares or maybe hallucifer is back. That would explain Mark P and Misha both being in this ep, interestingly called The Vessel. Maybe this ep is not Sam-lite after all.
Ooooooh interesting 😀
Yes read that Didi and Thank you Poor Sam badly affected by Lucy and these nightmares would be one way of getting Mark back. Mybe Yellow eyes & SD will get their Sam torture scenes after all mmmmm
Could handle some of that meself :o:o:o:o:o
So maybe pretend Cas and Dean go looking for “The hand of god” leaving poor Sam in the bunker having tremendous horrid torture nightmares all by himself :(:(:(
ETA: this is the most convoluted combination of names and characters ever, sorry :p:
I think it is likely that Castiel is still there with Lucifer and sooner than have Misha talk to himself they will have internal conversations of Misha as Castiel talking to Mark P as Lucifer. Externally Misha will be playing Lucifer (the Mark P version). I assume that unless Sam works out that Castiel is Lucifer, Lucifer will be able to screw with Sam and continue to make him feel worse about himself, possibly so that he will come around to the idea of being Lucifer’s vessel – though a Winchester who believes anything an angel tells them about saying yes to Lucifer is a Winchester that hasn’t already been through the apocalypse … hopefully Sam will realize pretty quick what is going on. Though honestly if it is Sam, and not Dean, who has the breakthrough moment of realizing it isn’t Cas that would be the most actually astonishing and unexpected thing that has happened in, like, 3 seasons.
It will be harder for Sam to tell the difference than for Dean because Cas always boosts Dean and tells him what he wants to do or is doing is ok/the right thing. (though maybe Lucifer knows that and he could get round Dean that way too). We are less inclined to question people who encourage us to do what we want to do anyway.
Castiel often is blunt with Sam about prior events in a way that if he wasn’t a socially inept angel would make him look actively antagonistic. So it will be easy enough for Lucifer pretending to be Cas to make Sam feel even worse than he already does.
Possibly he can be in both places (with both Dean and Sam) during the episode and be dealing with them both in different ways – though all of that would require the writers to be aware of the difference in the way Cas’s interactions between the two brothers is written – and I am not sure they are.
I’m gonna need a stone tablet of my very own to figure this out.
To quote one interpretation of a particular episode ‘It’s Jared and Jensen playing Sam and Dean playing Jared and Jensen playing Sam and Dean’

Lol. I remember that. I think it was in reference to French Mistkake
You know what would have been a fun idea. Have two of the characters say ‘yes’ to a possession at the same time. Then either we would have the confusion of wondering which one it was who got possessed. Or have it have some sort of unexpected result. Like making the two people linked or something. Though that second one would be better done with other people than our main cast I reckon…
That would explain Mark P and Misha both being in this ep, interestingly called The Vessel. Maybe this ep is not Sam-lite after all.
That’s my best quess, too. Writer Berens always has Sam doing critical deeds or interacting with important cast members that advance the storyarc in his lighter Sam episodes; he doesn’t have Sam go out for coffee or wait by the car for longish periods of time. Robert Berens reminds me of the way Ben Edlund wrote his ‘Sam lite episodes – BE always gave Sam a meaty piece of the plot, regardless of how briefly ‘Sam’ was in the episode.
