OOhhh exactly what I was thinking Baby JJ – couldn’t help feel a little jealous & alot sad for this clip, Dean doesn’t really wanna go I don’t reckon and it does look peaceful:(:(:(
I can’t say that got my juices going (well maybe [i]those[/i] juices. Dean the family man). I was hoping for some intense edge of your seat spoilers/clips. Maybe there will be more later.
Well that was a nice Daddy Dean moment. Not the most riveting sneak peak I’ve ever seen… but I guess what’s happening back in town is more intense and they are saving that part? Hmmm…. since when have the promo guys held back on the spoilers? Maybe they had a ‘talking to’ about ruining episodes last season so they picked this safe (if somewhat dull moment). Did anyone get a creepy grandma vibe? Maybe I’m projecting?
Nah, Grandma creeps me out too. Not sure why. We have to remember tho how promos can be misleading… 😉
It seemed off to me. Dean was a little too paternal, a little too mellow, not that he doesn’t have a surprisingly good way with children. Grandma was a little too chirpy. Maybe because it was so bright and cheerful I am reading ominous things into it. 🙂
It did appear peaceful something is definatly off in a big way Hope Jenna’s ok I am liking her — its already been talked about alot but I don’t know about this baby How can they (Supernatural) turn this sweet baby into something evil and do it tastefully ???
I think it’s telling too that as soon as Dean tries to leave to go back to Sam that “something happens” and Dean is pulled back to Jenna and the baby. Maybe he’s connected to that baby already? Creepy!
I hope they don’t go the evil baby route but I do think there is a psychic connection between Dean, the baby (possibly Amara??), the Darkness/Amara. I like Jenna too.
I like Jenna too. I was hoping that she could stay around for a bit and maybe recur a few times as an ally. But the actress was used to play an evil character before, so I wonder if they will use her again in the same way. I’m beginning to wonder if the baby corrupts/turns those people around her into minions that will do anything to protect her? So maybe grandma and Jenna both are already on that path? I’m also wondering how long we will see Amara as a baby and/or if we will see her as a little girl as well for a few episodes. It makes me wonder if Dean is affected too. He can’t be too much, because we will get any number of stand alone episodes where presumably he ins’t too affected by his connection to either Amara or TheD (same with Sam, presumably the rabid disease doesn’t kill him or affect him in total, he seems fine by Baby- no black veiny lines in him in that promo clip). I am intrigued by this set up and PRAY to all the writing gods that the do all this justice.
One question though… they’ve insinuated that the Rabids were infected by that big black cloud that rolled over the land. If that is true then why weren’t both Sam and Dean infected at that time? Why did only Sam get infected and by another Rabid?

Because they weren’t outside? o.O
But then Dean WAS outside… could that be it? Seems pretty flimsy. Have you also noticed that all the other Rabids are infecting each other. So how did it go from being a ‘sickness’ that was given to people by the cloud to a sickness that people are now giving to one another? I hope that is explained in some way.
I thought the Darkness protected Dean. Did Dean not say that to Sam?
I get what you’re saying about the cloud. What happens when everyone is cured? Does the cloud come back? Where did it go? Sure hope they address this!
Yes, that’s true, she did say that she would protect Dean. But still, why wasn’t Sam infected in that initial cloud? He was sitting in a car with a shattered back windshield, TheD was all around him and was able to touch him too. It doesn’t make a lot of sense to me as to who got infected by that initial cloud and why? Why wasn’t Jenna infected? She was out there too. I’d like some clarification on how people get infected and how they pass that sickness from one person to another.
I was wondering if Sam maybe got himself infected on purpose hoping that he himself might end up being a cure. I hope he IS the cure. That would be awesome. Maybe he’ll be the only person to survive the infection (and lets face it, we know he WILL survive) and that his survival, or maybe his demon blood becomes the crux of why he becomes the cure for all the others that are infected. That would be a great story arc I think.
I don’t think the back windshield is shattered is it? I know there was a clip in a promo that showed Sam shooting out the back window. But that was for the Baby episode. The windshield looked intact at the hospital. Jenna wasn’t infected either because she was also in her car on the way to the distress call.
Oh yeah, I think I am mixing up some promo info with the start of the episode. Weird how the mind works!

No, Sam wouldn’t let himself get infected on purpose. For one thing doesn’t have a clue on what the cure is.
I had a theory his demon blood would be the reason behind the cure. Who knows? Perhaps the Darkness infection brings his demon blood out of its dormant state. Maybe the demon blood absorbs the infection which in time would have Sam slowly go full demon, yellow eyed and all. One can dream, but I can write it. Haha 😀
Ah! Hope springs eternal doesn’t it Yellow Eyed? And it’s Sam’s turn to be ‘saved’ this year, actually its past his turn as Dean has needed saving multiple times in the past two years. So a full on demon Sam once again is fine by me. You know that TPTB have no trouble eat all showing Sam being all ruthless so maybe a Sam goes evil plot would actually work.

Oh yes I do hope its more of a Sam season this time. I’d fangirl so bad if Sam went full demon!

Oh, you haven’t heard that before… it’s The Powers That Be which I use sometimes to refer to the writers and sometimes to refer to the producers and big brass. It’s easier. 😀
my feeling about the promo is that it shows the calm before the storm. Settling the sweet innocent baby in with Grandma before all hell breaks loose.
It would be interesting if jenna is whom with the Baby should be i.e Jenna is the dangerous one.
It’s a toss up for me. Jenna is good and will attempt to save the baby from harm. (And quite possibly get killed doing so.) Or…..very bad and Dean has to kill her to save the baby. Either way I’m thinking she will die in some way or another. I am hoping the dying part won’t happen but it’s Supernatural and what one wants usually doesn’t happen (yes I am/was a Charlie fan). I’m holding off judgement on granny since we only got to see her from a distance. Too soon to know.
