New Promos For Supernatural Season 11
Today we have an abundance of spoiler information on the next season of Supernatural.
The CW has released the season eleven trailer.
And the promotional poster. Each character has another expression to the side of their face and it’s easier to see in the larger version
The ITunes special preview was posted this week (Quality is poor, but this is the only available copy)

Media outlets are releasing what they have gathered about the new season.

The Winchesters will need all the help they can get battling The Darkness, which brings us to Season 11’s theme: “You can’t outrun your past.” Dean and Sam “have to make some unexpected and unholy alliances involving folks from their past, which will have personal ramifications,” exec producer Jeremy Carver reveals. Will any of said people be fan faves who died? “We’re talking about a fight that is going to incorporate the likes of Heaven and Hell and those on Earth. So there’s certainly opportunity to see folks that have departed,” the EP replies. Perhaps one of them can provide some answers, because “there’s a lot of mystery to not only what or who The Darkness is” – maybe it’s a she? – “but what The Darkness wants,” Carver says. And while Castiel will be working alongside the brothers, he first needs to “find a way out of this spell that Rowena has cast.”
BONUS SPOILER!: Praise be! “We’re going to see more of a vintage Crowley in terms of scheming, less caring about Dean and Sam,” Carver shares.

I did watch the promo but not your article (sorry! Trying to keep spoilers to a minimum. Promos are exempt)
Wow.. just wow. Its taken me a few minutes to recover from how [b]amazing[/b] that promo was. My jaw was agape as my eyes widened, the latter glistening with tears of joy and excitement. A captivating plot and Sam in the limelight? The only time SPN made me cry was the final scene of Heart.

I particularly like Crowley’s “THE DARKNESS!!!!……terrible name by the way.” HA! That’s what half of us said when the concept was first revealed. I bit unoriginal, but I’ve gotten used to it. I like to refer to it as TheD!!!! for short.
I’ve actually always been intrigued by the idea of The D, but I was concerned about the execution of it. However, now I’m wondering if TPTB think this might be the last season of SPN so they’re going for broke. If this season features the battle against the ultimate dark force, and revisits all of these characters from the boys’ past, friend and foe alike, it leaves me wondering where the show could ever go from here. I know the last few seasons have certainly not delivered exactly what was promised beforehand by TPTB, but if the brothers truly vanquish the pre-biblical primal force this season, do they then just go back to hunting wendigos? At least after the season 5 apocalypse the show had some unexplored mythology to explore, but after the D, what’s left?
True but the Leviathan were supposed to be this BIG – GOD FEARED WOULD EAT THE PETRIE DISH AND SO LOCKED THEM AWAY IN PURGATORY – BAD and yet the world just kept on a spinning. As Pedowitz said as long as the ratings are there and the boys want to keep doing it, the show will go on.
I think that is a freakin’ great promo. The poster’s OK nothing earthshaking. It does look like the 2nd face on all of them is them gritting their teeth. Not sure what they were shooting for. Oh for the record, I don’t care which character is in the foreground as long as it’s Sam or Dean. They mix it up through the years on posters and DVD covers.
Did you all notice that on the poster Crowley has two faces? Besides his own, I mean. He is the only one who does. Does that mean Crowley is going to be two faced, or playing both sides? Or lying to The Darkness while pulling for the boys? I’m thinking either Crowey has joined the Priesthood (no) or he’s hiding out from The Darkness!!

As metioned they all have a shadow of 2 faces – can’t see Dean’s very clearly but Sam appears to have a black demon eye ??
No on closer ins[ection its just a eye over a eye you really have to look hard to see the angry faces blurred to the side. but once you focused on them their easy to see
What the hell is happening with Sam is it a Hell Flash back do you think – his neck veins went dark when he was drinking demon blood ?? And Dean is back our snarky Dean – “Hello Ghostbusters” LOL
I think you are misunderstanding me? If it was me you were replying to… Crowley has three faces. His normal face and then one face to the left and another to the right. Sam, Dean and Cas only have the one in addition to their normal faces. Each of their faces are looking off to our right, their left. Unless there is a clearer picture of this poster I am unaware of?
Sorry Alycat I was excited when I first looked at the poster You can clearly see two faces on Castiel & Sam & Dean – their normal faces and a angry or determined face Crowly does have 3 – big season for Crowely The whole season is looking exciting.
My other comment was in reference to the video for the season Sam is getting tortued something horrendus — maybe a flash back to hell. Also the snippet of Sam’s veins turning dark
There was to be no blame this season but poor Sam in the church talking to God blaming himself ??
I wouldn’t cling too tightly to that whole no blame, bros working together spiel from Dabb and Carver… remember Carver followed that up himself with an “ish”
Also according to Jared and Jensen the boys would have nothing Supernatural riding them or I believe they said special powers and yet the promo leads one to believe otherwise. The torture looks to be flashback but the veiney thing? Sam has that when he’s praying. So did he get bit by the rabid nurse and infected but he’s not infected? Somebody’s got some splainin’ to do. 😉
I think there was an interview with the cast and writers that also said they would be having memories that may not be real. I think the “D” is going to mess with everyone’s minds. I would love a warped reality type season.
That could be pretty cool if not overdone. I hope The Darkness has many different types of manifestations. I liked the promo. It had a darker feel to it like earlier on in the show. A lot of action and interesting things seem to be happening. And hey! Not a crappy comical CGI big head amongst them. It’s the little things. 😉
Checked that out – saw it when he was praying — mmmmmm as usual we can only assume —- everything is a mish mash and speculating only gives me a headache. And if he is infected but not infected that may go back to the Croatoin Virus, Sam may have some risidual protection from his demon blood days, ooohhhhhhhhhhh I don’t know. Just loving the look of S11 Hoping its the start of S1 – S5 again the Good Old Days. Dark, edgy, fast, bloody with a side order of humor from Dean LOL
Wow, 11th season is looking GREAT! And pretty intense. Can’t wait. If they truly are heading to more earlier season wibe and to horror and roughness I couldn’t be happier. That is how Supernatural should be. Also everyone seemed to be present on the promo and with interesting stories. Only a month and then we will have it.
OK, now that I’ve watched that trailer about a dozen times, I’ve noticed a few things. First (and most importantly) Sam appears to be shirtless in one of those scenes!!! :p Secondly, it does occur to me that everything that’s happening in the episode COULD be a figment of one of the boys imagination. Sam seems to be getting tortured on a number of fronts, maybe he’s “dreaming” the whole thing? If the PTB were really clever (which alas, they aren’t) they could run several episodes like that , string us along and then pull a reversal, mess with our sense of reality and let us know that no one is safe from TheD!!!! Not even the audience!! That would be so cool. It’s probably not what they are doing though.
I’ve watched it many times myself because everything about it is awesome. I really like the song that’s playing. But I’ve been going crazy trying to figure out who the man is in the church doorway when Sam is praying. At first I thought Gadreel, but the hair doesn’t look quite right.
I wish sososoSO much it would be Gadreel but the figure does not look same proportioned. (And the show usually does not do what I would like so 😉 )

You’re probably right that it’s not Gadreel, but like you, I really wish it was because I loved his character. He was much more complex than most of the other angels and Tahmoh was terrific.
It looks a little like Cole, but I am not sure why he would be there. Still though, he DID torture Sam and maybe that’s why he’s there in Sam’s vision, to torture him again.
The hair does look like Cole’s but he seems too tall for Cole. Although that could just be the camera angle. I thought Cole was an OK character, but he’s not one whom I’m clamoring to see again. There are so many others from the boys’ past that would be much more interesting to see again than Cole.
It’s Don!!!! Hey Don! What’s that? Amelia bored you right out of the storyline so you had to jump seasons? Dude, we so understand. Welcome aboard, tho heads up – there are zombies. Oh yeah and Death is dead. Yeah, Dean killed him. Oh, you don’t know who Dean is. Sam’s brother. Yeah they’ve been busy. Now the entire planet is permeated by some unknown dark force… I’m sorry, did you say that it beats being stuck with Amelia? We hear you bro, we hear you.
I think you are seeing this as a continuation of the church scene when it wasn’t. If you look closely when the guy is standing there in the doorway the person in front of him has a white shirt with blood on it. It’s Cas. It even looks like white shirt guy is in the same position with his arms above his head just as Cas is when bound. If you will notice that person at the door is wearing a sweat jacket with a hood and has in his hand what looks like an angel blade. A bit later on you see Hannah’s temporary male vessel (from the ep where Sam and Cas busted Metatron out and she refused to allow it – Inside Man?) lying dead wearing a sweatshirt with a hoodie. Either killed while rescuing Cas or Cas killed him. Question is was Hanna riding that vessel at that time? So I’m fairly certain that was Hanna Part Deux standing imposingly at the doorframe. Now the other scene where the door is broken/kicked down looks like Sam has taken refuge in a storage room and the zombies (for lack of a better description) are after him. So as far as Sam praying in the chapel, I think he gets to do that unmolested.
First of all, as I started reading your first post above my initial reaction was “who the heck is Don?” which shows what an impression the guy made on me.
Then as I read your second post my jaw dropped at the surgical precision with which you dissected the promo. Holy crap! I guess I need to figure out how to view that sucker in super slo-mo, because I don’t know how on earth you recognized Hannah’s second vessel!! I can’t even remember what I ate for breakfast, much less what that guy looked like. And you figured out all that other stuff. Methinks you have too much time on your hands. 😀 Of course, now you have contributed enormously to the spoiler quotient of the promo, so I should be mad. 😉 But instead I’m quite impressed!

Yeah, poor Don. I could totally picture his character jumping seasons if he could. I feel bad for the actor, he probably thought – “Cool! I’ll be on Supernatural, my real chance to break out, military man MIA, a hero who returns home and if I play my cards right then the fans will love me and I’ll be invited to cons and… what? I’m Amelias long lost husband? I get a mysterious appearance outside the house in the dark, a heart to heart with Sam Winchester and I get to sit on the couch sharing a beer while my wife’s boyfriend looks on? That’s it?!? And the fans will probably hate me for the mere fact that I remind them of Amelia?!? That sucks!!!” *fades back into obscurity* Kidding, I have no idea if he’s a successful actor or not! But I still feel for him. 😉
E you are slipping. I’m not even a Sam gal and I caught that he was shirtless without having to watch a dozen times! Actually I noticed it on first watch, it was the other 16 times I went frame by frame that clinched it. 😉 I had to be sure. For scientific purposes.
I don’t know AlyCat, I think you’re the one who’s slipping. Any scientist worth her salt knows that you have to watch the video AT LEAST 25 times before you can be certain about what you observed. But as a particularly thorough scientist, I opted to watch it 30 times just to be sure. 😉
Ah yes, but I NOTICED on first watch. Everything else was just supporting my initial finding. As far as my ONLY watching X amount of times – well I am a Dean girl, I do have a reputation to uphold you know. 🙂
OK, well that’s just plain embarrassing…. you’d think I’d be programed by now to spot a shirtless Sam. Maybe because it’s been so long. Was Sam shirtless at ALL last season? Dean was but Sam was frustratingly clothed all season long.
Correct me if I am wrong but the last sighting of a shirtless Sam was season 6….SIX!!! Is that possible? Well then, they owe us a whole episode of shirtless Sam as far as I am concerned. Maybe Sam will be washing the impala in a speedo. I might be slightly mollified if that was the case.
I just watched the trailer is slow mo, deciding to pause at the part where Sam’s eye lids are stretched open. Oh god that was disturbing.
You could have paused at the shirtless shot or sexy screaming face Sam was making but instead you chose to stop at the eye lid part!?! And you call yourself a Sam girl? You need to march your butt right over to that corner with E and sit there and think about what you have done until all the other Sam girls forgive you!!! Uhm, what? They’re forgiven already? Ahh, you’re no fun. 😉

This promo is AMAZING. That veiny thing on Sam’s neck, Sam praying, all kinds of Hurt!Sam, Shirtless!Sam and, dare I even hope, could that be a Hell flashback? There’s so much awesomeness in this promo.
I have loved everything I’ve read about s11 so far. I’m really looking forward to it.

Part of me does think its some sort of flashback. If you watched one of the recent SPN cons Jared mentions the reason he had the tattoo (spoiler’ish) was kinda for for a flashback. Can’t remember what he said exactly now :l But since he said that then it makes me think those scenes in the promo are the flashbacks!
If we’re really lucky he will have a flashback to the riveting pull-ups scene from S 6! OK, I’m done being shallow. (for now, anyway):)
I think we are the on the same page here.:) I believe a flashback is a type of hallucination. I just think it may not be happening to just Sam and they might not all be flashbacks but some sort of altered reality.
Shirtless Sam I hope we see more than just his sholders as shown hmmmmmmmmmmm – Rowenna is even in the shot, and 3 ladies on a bed Go Dean ha haaaaa I think I will sleep until the priemier it may go quicker

It all sounds really interesting but I’m a teensy bit concerned that Jensen’s remark about how Dean will struggle with his special “connection” to the D alludes to a Dean-Amara love connection. I truly hope not because that would be pretty lame. Otherwise, things are looking pretty good for S 11.
Agreed SanD! No romance… that is not what this show is about, it doesn’t work. It didn’t work with Dean and Lisa, it didn’t work with Sam and Amelia. It only worked with Sam and Jessica because she was dead before the end of the first episode. (Same with John and Mary BTW). No, just no. Poor Jensen, after being saddled with the stupid and ultra boring MoC for a year and a half, if he has to then turn around and be romantically involved with a pre-biblical evil? Ugh. Can you see him trying to explain that to Sam? “She’s just really misunderstood is all. She just wants to get to know our world. She has our best interests at heart. She just wants to help all humanity and end hunger and war forever and she’s like really, really hot. come on Sam can’t you just give her a chance?” Yuck. I think a certain shipping crowd might be sent round the bend if it did happen though, which might also make it worth it. :D:p
Where are you guys getting a romantic connection out of any of this? If anything Amara as a hot femme fatale would be of interest to Dean and “she” may try to exploit that connection as an opening to get to Dean and Sam but romance?
I did find those fast shots of what looked like a Busty Asian Beauty version of a Penthouse Letter interesting tho. Maybe that’s the type of vision that Sam and Dean won’t be sure are real or not. Sam’s being his past “torture session” or where Dean is looming round and it seems like there’s nothingness…. they threw a lot of weird teasers in that promo that look like it may be substantial to the storyline but which are in actuality just short quick things each Winchester experiences. But as far as any AmarDean, I sincerely doubt that is going to happen.

As I have seen spoilers I don’t think Amara is even the Darkness but who knows. I didn’t get a romantic vibe at all what Jensen told but I am rather glad that both of them seem to have stories going because people came to conclusions about one minute promo again. I actually liked the MOC so I don’t mind it going on. I mean I loved Sam’s demon blood story too and it lasted for five years in comparison half the time being on the background. Under a month we will see how it goes. Mostly people seem to be exited about the new season and that is refreshing and nice to read. 🙂

Since Dean doesn’t bear the MOC anymore, I thought he might be referring to the being who is intimately associated with the MOC, ie, The Darkness. Although there is that other spoiler picture of the woman with the MOC. Is that Amara? I can’t tell. Or maybe some other hot chick manifestation of Amara? So it crossed my mind that the connection Jensen referred to might be of a romantic/sexual nature. I hope you’re right that AmarDean never comes to pass, although if it does I would prefer that it be called DeanAra!

Yes after the initial bit, pictures, posters and interviews there was much gnashing of teeth by my fellow Dean girls over no storyline ad nauseam. Few wanted to listen to reason, it was really starting to “harsh my buzz” and frankly, getting pretty annoying by the sheer ridiculousness that was being said. All that I have read over and over are fans begging for a morsel, how this is the first Hellatus that Show has stayed so quiet about and then when they finally start releasing stuff all I’ve read for the most part is bitching. Thankfully they released the promo and put some fears to rest. I get not wanting to be disappointed no matter which side of the fandom you are on but geesh how about letting a few episodes air first. 😉 Show definitely has my curiosity up and after ten seasons the fact that it can still that for me is pretty amazing. We’re almost there!!!!
Yeah, I agree. I search and check places for news and I just wanted to tune off. It helped. Don’t want my excitement to drop because there is a lot to be exited for. 🙂

Glad that the showrunners have told me how the fault is going to be ‘shared’.I should havee known when Sam was blamed for Charlie’s death that this is how it is going to be.
Nothing which made me feel excited.
I know. When I first heard them say that the brothers wouldn’t apportion blame, I thought “I’ll wait and see”, but the brothers don’t have to apportion blame if everyone else blames Sam, including Sam. I’m still going to wait and see, but I’m not optimistic that Sam won’t get most if not all of the blame while everyone forgets Dean’s part in all this.
