Supernatural Spoiler Roundup: August 16, 2012
You gotta love mid August. The spoilers coming out are always so sparse and often puzzling, but our curious nature and anxiousness for the premiere date to frickin' get here makes us click that link anyway. So, here's the latest I was able to gather from the last few days. It really doesn't say much!
Casting calls have gone out for Episode 8.05. This is the episode penned by Ben Edlund, and will be directed by Guy Norman Bee. The title, according to Spoiler TV is, "Blood Brothers." Edlund already told us in our interview at Comic-Con that this would be a vampire themed ep, so it makes sense. Here's what they're looking for:
Two roles are being cast for the episode: Andrea Magnuson, happy at resuming a relationship with an old love; and The Old Man, who appears to be a nice young man but is really an ancient and evil vampire.

For anyone looking for the Alpha Vamp to appear in this ep, no such luck. Rick Worthy confirmed on his Twitter yesterday he's not in this ep.
In other Spoiler news, Michael Ausiello has his "Supernatural" quota to get in, and here's a teaser that's really not much of a teaser. We've heard this one before. But still, here goes just in case you missed hearing this one:
Ausiello: It’s a “very, very, very random circumstance that brings him into contact with her,” hints new showrunner Jeremy Carver. “It’s not a very cute meet.”
TV Line also has a small profile on the actress playing Sam's new girlfriend, Amelia, as part of their Fall TV preview.

Also, I'm not one for behind the scenes photos too much, but when it's from Guy Norman Bee, how can I refuse? This one is very aptly titled, "Moose ping-pong." Sounds kind of dangerous if you ask me.
