Deadline.com: Sera Gamble Has Found Her New Project
It's always fun to read what past writers go onto after "Supernatural." There's a lot of distinguished alumni out there (Eric Kripke, Raelle Tucker, John Shiban for starters) and now Sera Gamble can join that list. According to Deadline.com, ABC has given a script commitment to a medical drama Executive Produced by Greg Berlanti (currently an EP for upcoming CW series "Arrow") and written/produced by Gamble. The premise sounds right up Sera's alley, it "centers on world-renowned neurosurgeon Dr. Steven Saylor who becomes a medical anomaly himself after suffering a traumatic brain injury. He’s forced to re-specialize as an internist at the hospital where he was once king."
This is the first project for Berlanti Productions at ABC, but they had a very busy first cycle last year selling five projects to CBS, NBC, Fox, and The CW. This is obvious Sera Gamble's first venture since leaving her post as "Supernatural" co-showrunner in May. Melissa Kellner Berman has also been listed as a co-producer.

Congratulations to Sera Gamble. She’s a hell of a talent and this is a fitting reward for the trojan work she has done on SPN over the years. I wish her all the best.
Good for her. I’ve loved everything she’s written on SPN, I’ll certainly try and catch this one. Sounds interesting.
I’m glad to hear this. I hope that she has success when creating her own universe.
Good for Sera. I wish her the best. She is an amazing writer and I will miss her voice on SPN. Taking over the showrunner responsibilities after EK was a daunting task and she, IMO, gave it her best. Good luck to Sera, and much success!
Pleased for her and wish her every sucess 🙂
Sera was one of my all-time favorite writers of the show. Some of my favorite episodes were written by her, and though I’ll still miss her on SPN, I wish her the best here!
