Jeffrey Dean Morgan has been cast for season seven of CBS’s The Good Wife.
From the CBS Press Release
Actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan will join the critically acclaimed drama THE GOOD WIFE as a series regular during the show’s upcoming seventh season. Morgan will play Alex, a calm, experienced hourly investigator whom Alicia hires.
“We’ve loved and admired Jeffrey Dean Morgan for years, and we were thrilled to hear that Julianna did too, so it was a no-brainer to ask him to join our troupe,” said executive producers Robert and Michelle King.
Although there’s no official confirmation that Alex and Alicia will mix pleasure with business, it’s a logical leap to take — especially in light of Matthew Goode’s departure as Finn (not to mention Alicia’s continued estrangement from hubby Peter).
This has been a busy year for Jeffrey. He starred as ‘Deaf’ Smith in the mini-series Texas Rising, he played Joe DiMaggio in The Secret Life of Marilyn Monroe and is currently starring in the series Extant, with Halle Berry.
