Supernatural Gets A Mention In Variety About Increased Ad Revenue
Here’s something cool. “Supernatural” got a nice mention in Variety, a place that usually doesn’t publish a lot about our show. It seems, as has even happened to “Supernatural” in the past, existing TV shows are seeing declines in ad revenues. “Supernatural,” along with “Chicago Fire” and “Scandal” are the exceptions to that rule and are seeing increases!
What’s more remarkable here is “Chicago Fire” is only in it’s second season and “Scandal” is in it’s 3rd season. Even Variety noted that this is pretty incredible for a show in it’s ninth season. “And “Supernatural,” a CW show whose time on the air is so long that it once ran on the now-defunct WB network, gets an average of $37,348, compared to the average of $35,123 it was getting last season.”
Here’s the whole article, but I just get tickled any time I see “Supernatural” get a mention like this. We’re legit!
Thanks to Deborah for the link.
Yay, we made Variety! And it wasn’t for “the scary man killed the attractive crying man”!
Supernatural won the week in ratings on the CW. There was a mention TV guide for next week for Supernatural/Originals being the best night on the CW. I don’ know about other markets but SPN gets no advertisement here in N Ca. All the other shows are promoted like crazy (especially TVD) and SPN is still kicking a**.
Although this is awesome news (this show is still strong and kicking it in the ass after all these years) it goes a long way to explaining why there seem to be so many more ads during the episodes these days!!!
