Hillywood and Nerdist Parody Supernatural
This week, the day after the Supernatural season 10 finale, The Hillywood Show released a Supernatural parody set to Taylor Swift’s “Shake It Off”.
Here’s the parody

The Hillywood Show is a Member of the Nerdist Alliance, which had an article about the parody on its site.
The spin on Taylor Swift’s “Shake It Off” involves angels, demons, and a whole lot of Supernatural cameos.
The Hindi sisters star as Dean Winchester (Hilly) and Castiel (Hannah) while Osric Chau steps in as Sam Winchester. Though I’d like to see him back in the Supernatural universe more permanently as Kevin, I’ll take this because Chau in that wig? Classic. Rob Benedict (Chuck in the TV show) plays Cain, and Adam Stuckey is Crowley. They go through all the highlights of Season 10 from Deanmon to the Mark of Cain and throw in some nods to popular moments like Dean’s epic “Eye of the Tiger” lip sync.
The cameos in the video are
Jared Padalecki (Sam)
Jensen Ackles (Dean)
Misha Collins (Castiel)
Matt Cohen (young John Winchester)
Gil McKinney (Henry Winchester)
Tahmoh Penikett (Gadreel)
Richard Speight, Jr. (Gabriel)
Lauren Tom (Linda Tran)
Travis Aaron Wade (Cole Trenton)
Rob Benedict (Chuck Shurley)
Oscric Chau (Kevin Tran)
Timothy Omundson (Cain)
Samantha Smith (Mary Winchester)
Sebastian Roche (Balthazar)
Mark Pellegrino (Lucifer)
Tyler Johnston (Samandriel)
People Magazine described the video this way
The video is pretty perfect – a favorite moment is when Dean shakes and shimmies in between two dead bodies while brandishing the First Blade
Bustle reviewed the video this way
It’s pretty much the best to have ever happened to Supernatural fans. Before I get into the details of the video, I have to thank Nerdist, Nerdist Alliance Member The Hillywood Show, and sisters Hilly and Hannah Hindi, who sure know to make a Supernatural dream come true.

So what do you get when you combine Sam and Dean Winchester with Taylor Swift? Turns out a pretty terrific (and incredibly hilarious) Supernatural parody. Following the show’s Season 10 finale last night, The Hillywood Show has released its “Supernatural Parody” video, which the YouTube channel has been teasing for over a week. The video does a funny (and pretty great) job of summing up the events of the past season, which has been very focused on Dean suffering from the Mark of Cain and the pain and worry it has caused Sam and Castiel, all while being set to the tune of Taylor Swift’s infectious “Shake It Off.”
Hollywood.com and EW both reviewed the parody as well.
The Hillywood show also put out Dean Winchester’s Video Diary

and a Behind the Scenes video on the parody.

What a wonderful tribute to Supernatural and a great gift to its fans.
This was actually really great. I didn’t have spoilers about the end so it actually made me smile quite a bit. 🙂

I love this video! I lost count of the number of times I have viewed it. It is so cute. It really cheers me up. Rob and Osric and their HAIR! So funny!
I really enjoyed that video. The cameos at the end were a perfect touch 😀
If only they did a parody of other seasons!
OMG! I didn’t know about this, I found it on You tube while I was looking for something else. It was just perfect. I loved every moment of it, especially the cameos. What I great idea. I will be watching it over and over again. Thank you Hindi sisters, you are truly great. 😉
Perfection. I also loved the addition with Dean and the hoola hoop/rifle combo mimicking Jensens con antics. So much to love! Osrics Sam, Robs Cain! (The BTS video and Dean W Diary are a great watch also!) Sublime.
Yeah that girl really had Jensen’s moves down; she’s a great mimic! Even the Yellow Fever air drum solo. This video was loads of fun!
The parody was great! Best part was the the end appearances by J2. Loved it!
I just watched this again. It’s really a quality parody. I mean, it’s pretty clear that she/they had access to Supernatural sets and the Impala too. Really funny and clever!
If you were curious who sung the “Shake it off” in the parody here is the band.

Taylor Swift – Shake It Off (Cover by Twenty One Two) from Sweden
They had done the song before so the makers asked them to do the song to the parody too.

I wonder why they weren’t in the credits. But thanks for the info. They did a great job.
