The boys are on a good old fashioned monster hunt. We have lots of Kate, the werewolf from Bitten, Sam and Dean hunting together in the Impala, Sam and Dean being damsels in distress, Sam being strangled and lots of people that I don’t recognize. What do you think? Are you ready for a MOTW episode? Are you glad to see Kate again?

Well.. in picture number 8 it looks as though Sam is getting strangled, but at least it’s Dean whose unconscious this time around. Lets see if we can get through one episode with Sam begin at least conscious (if not entirely upright) the whole way through!
in this case i’m cutting everyone slack…I mean poor jared, he can’t use his right side….at least if it was his left, sam could’ve still been able to hold his own, but poor guy is really at a disadvantage. i’m wondering if dean is really unconscious in that pic…

Not really sure about this one. I didn’t dislike Bitten and have a somewhat mild interest in what she has been up to. However the promo shots don’t really make me excited for this episode. I think a MOTW is probably due, I’m OK with that. I guess I just wish it could be a new and intriguing monster. Vampires, werewolves, and ghosts have been over used in my opinion. There has to be some more creepy things out there for the boys to discover and defeat! 🙂

That sounds good. And loud!:) There must be tons of untapped monster types.
How can there possibly be a story here that the show hasn’t done already (hell that this writer alone hasn’t done, like, 4 times already)? I love monster of the week episodes – they are supposed to either be entertaining or reflect the current interaction between the boys. Bitten, Sharp Teeth and Freaks and Geeks (and a few others, but they had some other variables at least), were what this SPECIFIC storyline really looks to be … and were neither particularly entertaining nor insightful.
Come on guys, surprise us with something different.
And there have to be more horror tropes out there! Didn’t this used be a horror series?

heh, well spotted! It’s like Sam not being tied to the chair in episode 1. Sometimes the slapdashness is really kind of adorable … You feel like they are saying, ah we’re all friends here, y’all won’t mind seeing behind the curtain 😀

The look on Sam’s face in the 9th photo looks like things are not ok in Winchesterland. He looks a little worried about whatever Dean just said.
Hoping there’s a reason for Sam’s change of hands holding the flashlight and gun in pics 13 and 14! 😀
NOT looking forward to seeing Kate again. I never cared about her in the first episode. And any time I see Sam being choked, tied up, or otherwise removed from the action now, I end up watching the rest of the episode through a red haze of anger. *Oops. Shame on me*

He’s about to shoot someone? You’d think if guns were out his would already be in the left hand. How long did it take John to teach the boys to be ambidextrous. The bigger question is will Dean be as overprotective as Jensen with his younger brother’s injury. Here’s hoping!! 😉
