Mark Pedowitz Talks Supernatural’s Future at the TCAs
The TCAs (aka Television Critics Association winter press tour) used to be a bit of a mockery for The CW. That’s because when former President Dawn Ostroff spoke, you could see the virutal tomatoes flying at her from thousand of miles away. But when Mark Pedowitz took over a couple years ago, his presentations have turned into total lovefests for the fans of “Supernatural.” Well no wonder, he’s a fan that’s seen every episode!
“As a fan of the show, who’s seen every episode, as long as I’m here and those ratings still hold, God bless them, they can go as long as they want.”
Since Jared and Jensen have already signed on for season ten and it’s the number two show on the network, almost everyone is counting season ten renewal as a forgone conclusion. Naturally this will bring up debates about how long the show can really go, but considering “Supernatural” is actually older than it’s network (it’s the lone remaining show from the defunct WB network), anything is possible.
Now that the TCA talk is done, “early renewal” speculation can begin.
Season 10 is a sure thing. What I am anxious about is if they will announce season 10 as the last season. If they don’t, we will get, at least, a shortened season 11, because SPN deservers a planned ending.
