So I totally think that it is Kevin and I am therefore trying to come up with another scenario that makes what Zeke did [i]not [/i]oh my god they killed Kevin (you b*******). So how about this? Maybe they get the angel table to work and they need it to try to locate Castiel (who is being tortured by angels) and Metatron had blackmailed Zeke into destroying it so it can’t be used to interfere with whatever nefarious plan he has.That would account for the note of desperation in Dean’s voice and for what Zeke said and would mean that everyone survives the first half of the season!.
ETA: Actually now that I think about it some more I can see how it could be interpreted as the thing he ‘had to do’ being preventing Sam (who has possibly just found out about the situation) from ejecting him by taking over fully and trapping Sam in his own body … That would account for Dean’s cry too

Hi eilf, these are all good possibilities! I really don’t want Kevin to die or be blinded or otherwise maimed, so I am willing to go with any of these scenarios. I think destroying the tablet is a good one. That would seem like a huge set back while letting everyone live.

Heh, just to clarify I meant the light-up ‘where are all the supernatural creatures’ table. Not the tablet, though you could be agreeing with nappi there, and that would work too 🙂
