Promo Photos: Supernatural Episode 8.22
We are certainly making our way closer to the season finale! The CW released today the promo images for episode 8.22, “Clip Show.” There are some interesting reveals in here to say the least.
First, Sam is looking much better! I’m assuming that whatever issues he’s having with illness will at least be temporarily resolved in 8.21.
Two, Castiel is in the Men of Letter’s cave! That makes me so happy.
Third, it looks like Sam and Dean are the ones that bring back Abaddon! Oh no, I hope they know what they’re doing.

Sam was more or less dying in the promo of 8×21 and now here in 8×22 everything’s fine??I mean he was pale as dead,he could hardly stand and he collapsed.In these pics he seems TOO good…One the other hand Dean looks a little off…My guess is that either Metatron healed Sam or Dean somehow took on the third trial…

I would rather they didnt have Dean take on the third trial and I cannot see how they can I would assume whom ever starts the trials as to finish them also Sam started on this path and I would like to see him finish it plus if I am right they dont know yet what the third trial is ? . Also Metatron healing him after the whole Castiel quick fix last season wouldnt go down to well with me . The show cant make a point about Sam changing and beyond healing and then have Metatron come along and do just that .
I’ve been wondering for a while if Dean doesn’t take on Sam’s health issues in some way – not that he completes the trials – those are Sam’s all the way. But there have been hints about Dean helping “carry” Sam and take care of him and them being stronger as a twosome, so I can’t help but wonder if they share the health burden – maybe that’s why Dean’s looking rougher and Sam’s looking a bit better than in the 8.21 promo (which, btw, what the heck is taking Wednesday so freakin’ long to get here?!). Just a thought, but it’s been bugging me for a while and it would be a way to bring Dean into the mytharc more clearly as well. Not that I mind where he’s at now, I just know that point was mentioned a few times along the way well.
Also about these photos – I love Cas in the bunker! He’s at the map table!!!
Jared’s hair! I don’t usually do this but – mznvkhdjsfhgyfhgksngjhsbfgjkhsv!!!! I just want to stroke it and pet it and love it….ahem. Pardon me. Oh, and Cas has popcorn for the movie. HAHAHAHAHA!!!!
I noticed that … since when does Cas eat? Good to see him with the boys though! Hope it can stay that way …. Blue does suit Sam though! Mmm!

I wonder if his eating has anything to do with the glowy arm stuff when he took the tablet? Oh, and the bus trip. Did he change, lose power, become human, become a prophet? Jiffy Pop? Is it decades old Jiffy Pop ? 😕
I feel like Sam still looks a little rough around the edges, so maybe Metatron just gives him like a boost, or a temporary fix. That’s what I’m thinkin’ is happening.
I think Sam is still looking a bit peaky too. There’s a tray next to him on the table with a plate and a bottle of beer on it so I guess Dean’s still bringing him food (like in the trailer for Ep.21). So I don’t think Metatron heals him – I certainly hope not anyway, the magic quick fix last year drove me nuts. He is looking much better than in the Ep.21 promo though, there he looks desperately, horrendously ill. So…maybe Metatron does just give him a temporary fix. Or maybe a fair bit of time has now passed since the second trial and he’s recovered a little bit. Or maybe he’s been eating the John Winchester stew that Dean was cooking for him in the Ep.21 trailer. 😆

I could cope with Metatron doing something tempory but no quick fixes or magical fingers. And I do not want Dean taking on Sam’s suffering I couldnt believe you can transfer something like that for a start esp as it is at a sub atomic level . And in a season where they didnt have Sam not look for Dean too keep underlining how far Dean is prepared to go for Sam just makes a bad situation worst IMO.
Did anyone else totally have a squeeee! moment at seeing Cas in The Batcave? And eating Jiffypop? How long does that stuff sit anyway?
