Zap2It: Interview With Jensen Ackles
A few days ago I posted the Zap2It interview with Jared in the Spoiler section, but there was a Jensen interview too! It’s just not spoilery, so I’m posting it here in the news section. This is a fun little interview. Jensen talks about the infamous Braveheart scene in “LARP and the Real Girl,” the Men of Letters set and how the Impala will remain a big part of the show. Enjoy!
Thanks to Deborah for the link. I honestly don’t know how I missed this one.
Of course it’s not spoilery. Jensen doesn’t have a story to spoil about. The Las Vegas con aught to be really interesting since the ptb decided to give Sam a story arc and yet again drop/ignore a Dean arc. What could Jensen talk about??? Destiel maybe, maybe Benny for 1 episode, and then what he always has to talk about -Dean’s state of mind reguarding Sam. yeah!!!! Dean’s speech in Trial and Error was an empty speech-wasted. Jensen did a wonderful job with it as did Jared with his-however the Dean speech was beautiful. And it didn’t go anywhere. Dean didn’t get to fullfill what he wanted. If he would have killed the hellhound it would have made for a kickass/badass spn moment but instead we got the predictible Sam getting the main story arc. Boring. Same thing we have had for 7 1/2 seasons now. The episode was fantastic-one of the best in a long while but disappointing for those of us who wanted to finally get a Dean arc that would be seen thru fruitation. But alas-not to be.

This is only the first part of the interview the second part will be this week.
I was fascinated by this interview, even if it wasn’t spoilery. In particular when he talked about the Impala in season 7. I didn’t like it when they started using the pos cars but it made sense in the context of the story. Also when he talked about Jeremy Carver bringing it back and implying (it seemed to me) that was symbolic of fixing some of the Sera-era issues. As a huge admirer of Sera Gamble and having really enjoyed season 7 (apart from the boys somehow finding tens if thousands if dollars to pay Frank Deveraux -a great character though – and Dean walking round in a $2000 leather jacket – a problem nicely fixed for me in 802 with a throw-away remark from Sam) I found what Jensen said really fascinating!
I found it interesting that JC HAD to bring the Impala back. I always assumed it was to be out of action only for a short time. I wonder how long they had intended to keep her on ice. I love that Jensen admitted that he complained about that. I knew he wasn’t happy. I also liked the conversation about lines, he doesn’t care, give Sam more lines, knock me out. They don’t mind getting a little rest!
Absolutely; the Impala’s comeback at the end of season 7 was so wasted!
I couldn’t even watch the interview. If all JA can offer in an interview about this season is that the Impala is back and talk about a blond wig, that pretty much tells me what Dean will be doing the rest of the season.
It was a nice if not very illuminating interview. I’ll have to rewatch but I don’t think the person conducting the interview asked a lot of questions about where the season was headed. Not that he would have disclosed much if she had. They usually hold those things pretty close to the vest anyway. He talked about the batcave and the possibilities. How does not watching an interview tell you about the rest of the season? I am not sure what you mean by that. Have you already made up your mind?
Tia and Ginger, I’ve accepted that the SPN writers and PTB don’t care about the character of Dean. All they ever talk about is Sam, Sam’s mission, Sam’s vendetta. As if Dean doesn’t have plenty of reasons of his own form closing the Hellgates. And Sam’s Amelia story was given front burner status for the first half of the season. Meanwhile, Purgatory was all about Cas and Benny and was very quickly dropped. S So yes, Jared has lots more to talk about in his interviews. Sam is their preferred character, always was, always will be. Dean will never have an important story that ties to the myth arc, we all know that by now. Even in S4 &5 when it looked like he might, in the end those stories were more about Sam. So we should just watching knowing that going in and enjoy what we do get of Dean/Jensen in what is basically a glorified supporting role.
I was really hoping that they would bring Ellie back to be a love interest for Dean, but since they never give him any real love interests either, we know this will not happen as well.
I love Sam, I do, but must he get EVERYTHING?
oh my goooooooooooooooooooood jensen z awesome and he z soooooooooooo handsome.. i looooooove him
