LA Examiner: New Jeremy Carver Interview
Danielle Turchiano of the LA Examiner got to talk to Jeremy Carver this week (presumably at the TCA's). There's not a lot of fresh spoilers in here, especially his statement about having a plan that goes three years or more, but it's still a fun little interview. Carver does give a few more vague statements about the structure of the season, so speculate away! I'm kind of curious how much of a role the supporting characters are going to play this year. I'm thinking it can't be any more than last season, but perhaps it'll be better written. We'll see!
Speaking of speculation, there are no confirmed reports that Lauren Tom is Kevin's mother. That is all speculation/wishing on Danielle Turchiano's part. Don't be fooled by her statements that Carver confirmed that.
Enjoy!

Personally, I hope the supporting characters have a much lesser role than they did in S7. I didn’t like the Season of Guest Stars at all, especially with the end result being no character insight to Sam and Dean.
I am also hoping that the new and interesting characters Carver speaks about are better than Garth, Frank, Charlie, the Starks, and Krissy. Unfortunately, the irritating Mom sounds on the same caliber as those. I’m all up for support characters, but not like those.
I remain excited about Carver taking over, but I’ll admit that I’m a little worried that with every new interview, Carver is sounding more and more like Gamble.
I have concerns about some of the spoilers I have heard thus far. I’ve stated them elsewhere and won’t belabor the point. However, none of the subsequent interviews has eased these concerns. I’m not giving up and I intend to give season 8 a chance, but I am not confident at all that the show will go in a way that I will enjoy. I’m not saying it will be bad, I’m just hearing things that don’t make me happy.
