“Supernatural” Crossovers
I recently started watching Chuck for the first time and Chuck Bartowski is quickly becoming one of my favorite TV characters. That got me thinking about my two favorite characters. I think you may know them… So naturally I couldn’t help but imagine some sort of bizarre crossover episode in which Chuck Bartowski finds himself in the presence of ghosts. Can you imagine the girlish screams? While I can’t think of any reasonable premise for a Supernatural/Chuck crossover I can’t help but think how much fun it would be. That got me thinking about what other shows there are out there that could be a fun pairing for a Supernatural crossover episode. I know I haven’t hit every likely possibility and I’ve purposely left off some obvious choices because I haven’t watched them myself. So feel free to share your lists below. Extra points if you can come up with a good episode premise.

Dexter
Can you imagine Sam and Dean going in as FBI agents to question Dexter about some unusual remains? Dexter would be under the impression that he’s dealing with some new type of serial killer when really he’s dealing with the supernatural. I think it has some potential. Plus you can bet that Dean would hit on Dexter’s sister Deb.
The Walking Dead
I think Sam and Dean could teach Rick and the gang a thing or two about killing some zombies. At the very least there’d be two more people there to keep an eye on Carl whose tendency to disappear and cause trouble never ceases to amaze me. Keep an eye on your kid people! There are zombies on the loose!
Scooby Doo
This idea was alluded to in an earlier article by Bookdal, “Most Wanted Meta!” but I think it’s worth mentioning again. Can’t you image Sam and Dean and the gang hunting monsters together in the Mystery Machine? How much fun would that be? Plus, we all know how Dean feels about Daphne…
Jericho
This one may be a bit of a stretch but for any fans of the late CBS drama, I think we can agree that this is a match made in heaven tone-wise. Think of Supernatural’s season five post-apocalyptic episode “The End”. Isn’t it just asking for a little Jake Green? I think so! And who wouldn’t want to watch them drive their muscle cars through the back roads of Kansas?
Firefly
I’m not totally sure how this would work out but I know it would have to involve some time travel. Think of all the possibilities if Sam and Dean were working a case on Serenity? Nathan Fillion is someone I would love to see on an episode of Supernatural, especially if he’s playing the oh-so-cocky Malcolm Reynolds. Talk about testosterone overload.
The Simpsons
This one seems fairly obvious because I think just about any show in the world could easily be Simpsonified. This would work particularly well with one of Supernatural’s more comedic storylines. Plus, the possibilities are endless because there are no real limitations in the world of animation. I, for one, would love to see Sam’s hair animated.
Bones
This crossover episode would most likely need to involve Sam and Dean posing as FBI agents, something I know a few fans have grown tired of. I, on the other hand, haven’t. Any excuse to get those boys in a suit is ok in my book. I’m not sure what the premise of this episode would be but whatever the case I know Bones would definitely put Dean in his place at some point. Although Dean and Booth are actually pretty similar characters so perhaps there would be a bit of a spark between Dean and Bones. Or even a bromance between Dean and Booth. What do you guys think?
So there are a few ideas off the top of my head. Are there any good episode scenarios out there? Any shows to add to this list? Can anyone think of a reasonable Supernatural/Chuck crossover story?
This is easy for me. I have an article to finish on the topic.
Psych. I want a Psych and Supernatural Crossover so bad it hurts. It’d be hilarious, fun, and exciting. And girlie screams galore. Oh Yes. I need this in my life.
How did I not think of Psych! I am laughing at the possibilities already! Great idea!
Supernatural/LOST …or as I call it …SuperLOST.
In the course of the show, killer black smoke terrorizes people who have survived a plane crash. Not to mention the theories abounded for years that the island was actually Purgatory.
The Winchesters as survivors of Oceanic flight 815?
YES. PLEASE.
SuperLOST. Love it. I remember the first time the black smoke appeared and I was convinced it was demons. (I started Lost late) Not to mention Mark Pellegrino’s appearance in both.
Re: Bones, I’ve always thought it would be fun to have the remains Brennan was investigating were remains Sam and Dean need to burn for a case. And considering Hodgins’ love of conspiracy theories and the Winchesters’ status as dead serial killers…
Re: Chuck, I think there was a year that Chuck and Sam would have been at Stanford at the same time.
My favorite SPN crossovers are actually with Criminal Minds, where the case the BAU is investigating is actually supernatural and they run into the Winchesters and try to profile them.
I’d love to see a White Collar crossover where the Winchesters are investigating a cursed object that the White Collar division is interested in. Neal and Dean together would be something to behold.
I’m also writing a Vampire Diaries crossover fic that’s a lot of fun. Alaric’s a hunter, after all 🙂

THAT. I’m thinking of that since… I don’t even know when (BTW, Criminal Minds is another favourite of mine). A lot of the Winchesters’ cases could be seen as serial killers cases, and investigated by the real FBI consequently. What if the boys posing as FBI agents ran into those REAL FBI agents and were exposed and investigated/chased/arrested? What if they could convince some of the said agents and collaborate with them in catching the (supernatural) serial killer? Oh, how I would LOVE to see Sam and Spencer Reid working together!
A Chuck/Sam flashback to Stanford is now a new dream of mine! That could totally work and I’m sure there’s a way to get Dean in there too.
I too love Criminal Minds and I’d love to hear the team pick apart Sam and Dean’s Psyche.
I agree with all those crossovers.
Maybe the one I wouldn’t enjoy all that much would be TWD, but this comment:
wo more people there to keep an eye on Carl whose tendency to disappear and cause trouble never ceases to amaze me.
cracked me up. I’m in now XD
Dexter would be fun.
If “The Dresden Files” had survived, that would have made for a fun crossover. Especially as it already had one ghost called Bob.
I don’t watch enough tv to know what all the shows mentioned above are, but I sure would love to see Sam and Dean animated in The Simpsons. There used to be some fantastic Halloween episodes, rather creepy ones at that, and a couple of hunters could easily be written into their storylines. Great opportunity for the guys to go all out with some self-mockery as well.
it be like what the x-files did on the simpsons.
I thought PSYCH would be a perfect crossover also. I’d love to see a joke-off between Dean and Sean since their humor is similar. And they’re both lousy dressers.
PSYCH!! Also Haven. And Justified. Cuz I need Tim and Jared in the same room. and also the Sheriff looks a lot like Bobby. And if I’m really on crack– Sons of Anarchy — the Leviathan Edgar was infiltrating the Cartel . . . . . and NCIS — imagine them walking into Ducky’s morgue? Abby would love the anti-possesion tatts . . . . .
Those are all great suggestions! I haven’t seen Justified myself (It’s on my to-watch list) but Timothy Olyphant is definitely a looker!
Miracles, c. 2003. Created by Richard Hatem. I’m convinced that it’s the same universe as Supernatural. It starred Skeet Ulrich and Angus MacFadyen, and it’s about a man who investigates miracles, finding, of course, ordinary explanations for them. Until he doesn’t. Then it gets apocalyptic and supernatural. Sam and Dean would fit right in. The series tagline was “GOD IS NOW HERE.” (or is it?) It even looks the same.
I didn’t know about Miracles. I’ll have to look in to that. Sounds interesting!
Oh yes to Scooby Doo again!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes!!!!!!!!!!
Current tv shows? I’d have to say The Vampire Diaries because how cool would that be? I just want Dean and Damon in the same room together .
Also, and I’ll admit to my increasing love for this show – Teen Wolf.
What about Supernatural and True Blood – season 5?
When I saw our Alaister praising Lilith in True Blood I chocked!
Supernatural/Buffy/Angel… that would be a dream come true and probably a heart attack LOL
Chuck: Chuck flashes on an object that just so happens to be cursed. Said object belongs to The Ring or Fulcrum. Voila two shows crossed over.
Huh???
There was spam here. Nothing to see. Moving along.
I like Scooby Doo, maybe even Walking Dead, but how ’bout MacGyver? Dean has made several references to him and John
s original leather jacket reminded me of him. I think they’d hit it off!
Oh, I found another crosover I would literally ADORE: Warehouse 13. Like: both Sam/Dean and Myka/Pete are searching for a cursed/magical/supernatural artifact (with Bobby as support for the Winchesters and Artie for the agents), but the first ones want to destroy it, the others want to put it in the Warehouse. WHo will win? And if someone/thing evil would take the artifact, would they join forces?
I would love to see our boys on “True Blood”, basically so Jared can actually meet someone that’s the same height as him (Joe Manganiello). Also, Sam & Dean would try to kill everything supernatural, but Sookie would have to explain to them that most of these people are to be left alone…well maybe she would let them kill Russell Edgington.
I was watching an episode of the X-Files the other night that involved a haunting, and I automatically thought “Boy, Sam & Dean would be perfect for this job”. And they could help that guy from “Grimm” also, he seems just a little too clueless for my taste.
