Welcome Back! Supernatural Season 7 Shooting Starts Today!
See that countdown clock that we’ve been taunting you all with at the top of this screen? Or the giant one at The Supernatural Crossroads? Notice how that number is sitting roughly at 79 days plus? It’s purely maddening, isn’t it?
Well, here’s something that will help with that despair. Season 7 shooting starts today!!! A lot of crew went back on June 24th so prep could begin, as did Jensen since he’s directing the first episode to be shot, but Jared, Jim, Misha and everyone else reported for work today. Let the season begin! In honor of this momentus day, I’m gonna share a few small Supernatural tidbits that I picked up on Twitter.
Warning, very small spoilers. Honest, nothing major has leaked at all. All of this info is public knowledge on Twitter.
– Misha Collins will be in the first two episodes. He honestly doesn’t know what’s going to happen with Castiel this season. Read all about it in this Exclusive Interview with Laura Prudom at AOL TV. Jim Beaver tweeted he’ll also be in 7.01 and 7.03.
– If you don’t follow Jared Padalecki on Twitter (@jarpad) you’ve been missing out. He’s had a whirlwind of a summer vacation since he opened that account in Nashville, like getting wisdom teeth pulled, following the Brian Buckley band and checking out their show at the Viper Room, faxing a fan the first page of the script for episode 7.01 just because she sent her fax number first, dealing with slow intersections in Austin, and he’s been having trouble with Canadian security lately at the Vancouver airport. Yesterday was no exception. Here’s what he had to say about it:
It’s fascinating how trivial things become such big news on Twitter, but there you go!
– Speaking of Jared, did you know he and Supernatural were actually nominated for a Teen Choice Award? Yeah, really. Go figure. Jared was nominated for Best Actor in a Sci-Fi/Fantasy and Supernatural was nominated for Best Sci-Fi/Fantasy show. Anyway, you can go and vote here but it requires registration. And perhaps and age limit too. Considering I used my daughter’s account, I’m not sure!
– This just in from EOnline. Jensen wins Top Drama King in their 2011 Tater Top Awards. Congratulations to Jensen!
Got any recent miscellaneous (and frivolous) news to share and Supernatural? That’s what the comments are for, so please do! In the meantime, check out Spoiler Page often for upcoming spoilers, although they’re probably going to be light until Supernatural’s appearance at Comic Con on July 24th.
From me and everyone here at the Winchester Family Business, welcome back cast and crew!!!

Yaay! It’s silly I know, but I always love to hear that they’re back together up in Vancouver filming again.
Time to limber up another ‘Welcome Back’ postcard!!
Hey — what happened to my ‘Fairy’ avatar? Not that I mind having a picture of Sam & John hugging with Dean looking on instead — “Shadow’ is one of my favorite S1 episodes. 🙂
We’ve had some weirdness with the avatars on the comments lately (the profiles have been fine) so I had to make some changes. That’s when I found that for some people (like apparently you!) I have two profile records. So, when I made the changes, it grabbed the avatar from the other profile record. According to my database query, that should only happen to 35 accounts or so. Anyway, long story short, I fixed your account! You’re good to go.
FYI, the ‘birthdate’ over at the Teen Choice Awards has to be between 13 and 19 years old.
Filming starts, praise Chuck. 😆
