Support Supernatural has released the outcome of their 2010 fundraiser for A Dog’s Life. I want to personally issue a big congratulations to Lindsay and Heather for all their work and reaching their goal. Fans managed to come through in the end and I’m so happy for them and A Dog’s Life. Everybody Wins! Below is the press release.
Supernatural Fans Do It Again!
Fandom Exceeds Ambitious Yearly Fundraising Goal
January 7, 2011 – SupportSupernatural.com is thrilled to announce its 2010 Supernatural Fan Initiative has surpassed its significant fundraising goal! As a tribute to the stars of Supernatural, the campaign collected $34,312.56 for A Dog’s Life Rescue, an animal rescue organization based in Los Angeles.
Until this week, the campaign was in danger of not meeting its $30,000 goal. Thankfully two year-end donations of $500 each and a very generous donation of $6,000 helped the fundraiser not only meet, but exceed its goal!
“We are so overwhelmed and honestly really relieved! We wanted to do right for the animals and thankfully by exceeding our goal, we were able to do that!” said Lindsay Warren, SupportSupernatural.com co-founder.
“Not only did the Supernatural fandom continue to show its generosity all year long in a down economy, but three guardian angels helped us close out the year on a very high note!” said Heather Vitas, SupportSupernatural.com co-founder.
Vitas and Warren also want to offer very special thanks to Creation Entertainment, Titan Magazines, The CW Network, Jared Padalecki and InsteadofAGift.org for all of their support.
SupportSupernatural.com will continue to raise money indefinitely for A Dog’s Life Rescue through eBay auctions where 100% of the proceeds benefit the charity. 100% of the commissions from their Café Press store will continue to be donated to A Dog’s Life Rescue as well. Additionally, the website is looking for creative ways to work together as a fandom to help charity in 2011 through their new online survey.
