Tigershire’s Vancouver Convention Report, Day One
Friday August 27th
However, the last couple of minutes of Matt’s panel were good. A fan asked if he had been warned about “us†fans being crazy. He said, we weren’t crazy, he was crazy and we were nothing like him. He thinks we are great fans. That got a round of applause. And then he was done. Lucky for me, Matt happened to have a second panel on Saturday so more about him later.
He talked about Leverage and answered questions about his character from that show. Video games were brought up. He was asked what he was currently playing and discussion revolved around being a geek for a bit. Oh, and the poor boy was cold. That morning in Vancouver it was cold and raining and apparently, when he left LA it was 105 degrees F – and he didn’t bring a jacket. He warmed up though.
(For the rest of the report, including details of the Richard Speight Jr. and Jason Manns panel, go to Tigershire’s blog right here.)

Oh, Tigershire! You were in Vancouver!!! Happy lass! So happy for you and thank you for your report!
Looking forward to read about your other exploits, dear! It’s generous of you to share them with us!
Cheers, Jas
You are very welcome Jas. I am very happy to share. It just takes a bit for me to download the events out of my brain. So much goes on – the weekend is just packed!
I should have Day 2 up within the next day or so.
Thank you for your report! I’m so glad you stayed for the Karaoke party! The guests so rocked the stage! Los Dos Diablos played Sympathy for the Devil and hell, they both can sing!
Yes, RisenShine, Sympathy for the Devil was the song. How I could have forgotten that I don’t know. All I could remember of the lyrics, which I don’t think I even said in my report, was Fred ending it with the “know the chewy taste of their own intestines” bit.
Can they ever sing. Richard was totally faking us out then too because someone asked him to sing during his Q&A and I thought he was saying he couldn’t sing. Which obviously isn’t true! It was a wonderful surprise.
Thanks for the report! I was too busy laughing during most of the Q&As to remember what everyone said, but I had a wonderful time. I missed Jason’s concert due to prior dinner plans with friends. You are right about the expense of the Sheraton; I did stay there, & while the beds were very comfortable & the view from our 20th floor room was amazing, the food was awfully expensive in the restaurant, especially breakfast (lesson learned for next year!) Sorry I missed the karaoke party too! That sounded like a lot of fun.
Well once I get my con report finished, I am going to compile a list of the hotels in the area and the contact information as well as my review of the Ramada where I stayed this time. (rooms were small but I got free wireless IN my room – not like Sheraton where you have to go to the business section).
I was so glad I was there for the start of Karaoke because I honestly wasn’t going to attend. I just didn’t like the cramped atmosphere of the other room. I’m very pleased with the changes Creation did for this year. It was a great improvement. 🙂
