As promised (despite being a little delayed), here is part two of my moments in 2012 that make me smile. These are the small, quirky, fun little bits that just brightened my day when the episode aired and still keep me smiling every time I think of them. These aren't necessarily the funniest bits, but they're memorable! I've already gone through my choices for season seven, so here are my choices from the episodes aired in 2012 from season eight. In case you missed part one, check out my choices here:

"We Need To Talk About Kevin"
Crowley, Sam and Dean reunite for the first time. Crowley as usual knows exact what words to say.
Dean: Ask your mother.
Crowley: There's that grade school zip. Missed it, I really did. (Turns to Sam) Moose! Still with the pork chops. Admire that.
But the best part is when Crowley let's Kevin talk to his girlfriend, who's been possessed. Kevin isn't going to spare how bad things really are:
Kevin: There's a demon in you and you're going to your safety school.
Yep, she's stunned!
"What's Up, Tiger Mommy?"
This is a no brainer. It's Supernatural Thor!
"Heartache"
Who didn't think that Jensen going toe to toe with his Dad wasn't brilliant? The old man got the upper hand, exactly the way it should be.
"No. I mean we did a thorough check on the guy, not so much as a parking ticket came up. I mean, look at him. I mean, sure, he can run a little bit, but Thor he ain't. You think he's gonna grab Freddy fitness here and throw him down and rip out his heart? I don't think so. Forgive me if I didn't take him out back and shoot him."
"Bitten"
There wasn't a lot of funny in this one, even though I actually liked the episode. My favorite bit though is when the three kids were watching Sam and Dean pull up in the Impala. "Hey look, it's Starsky and Hutch."" Hysterical! I'm stunned they haven't been called that before now. Bonus points for those that identify which brother is Starsky and which is Hutch. It means you know your 70's cop shows!
"Blood Brother"
Castiel wins the prize on this one. There he is in Purgatory, smiting all sorts of creatures. My favorite is after he zaps a monster coming after him. This whole piece of dialogue between Castiel and Benny is hilarious, especially when Dean is in the middle rolling his eyes.
Benny: And this is the crazy aunt I want to take on the road?
Castiel: I am not your aunt.
Benny: What? Really?
Castiel: I have no possible relationship to your sibling offspring.
Benny: Now, you're kidding me.
Dean: Oh, you two are killing me.
"Southern Comfort"
I'm wading in the shallow pool! Can't help it, even though my grin is a trite goofy. Bed head!
"A Little Slice of Kevin"
8.07 – Castiel. It's amazing what a shower and a clean suit/trenchcoat does for an angel. It makes him new again! Better indeed.
Before
After
This one's pretty easy too, even though plenty of things in this episode made me chuckle. It's a Supernatural Looney Tunes freeze frame!
Citizen Fang
Dean Winchester and pie. Who could possibly tire of seeing that boyish desire?
That's it for my look for 2012. What are your favorites? Dips in the shallow end are most encouraged.
Comments
Oh and this:
I'm wondering if I can ask a question (well, I can ask- if I get a response in the true unknown), anyway . . .
Does anyone know if there is a podcast about Supernatural, and fannish reaction to episodes thereof?
I'm sure there had been, but I can't seem to find one lately.
And Dean would be Starsky and Sam is Hutch!
Thanks Deborah.
Almost all of Hunteri Herioci especially Cas badcopping a cat and it's snarky reply. Sam weilding Thor's Hammer and one thing that deeply touched me ; Ms. Tran selling her soul to save her son.
Aaron finally taking charge of his Golem and Sam warming his hands over a burning Nazi and Dean being so proud of his memory foam and nesting.
Things that awed me: The Batcave and a Devil's Trap carved on a bullet.
Alice: I love all of your picks, too. I also just loved Dean with his bed that remembers him and the bathrobe and slippers! The MOL "batcave" makes me smile every time, too. I also really chuckled at Pa Ackles dressing down Dean. Dean really did squirm a bit, eh?
