Before we get to the final 25 familiar faces, I am aware that there are many faces that didn’t make the list who were probably expected.
Some of those were specific choices, such as Bobby, Castiel and of course, present-time Sam and Dean. For me, these individuals don’t qualify as Guests, but rather as the Supernatural core.
Hence, they were not on this list. Others of course, simply didn’t fit. This was a difficult list to compile, because as I began going through the seasons, there were just so many characters to choose from. So, I tried to select some that we haven’t seen too much recently, but also the ones that needed to make the list. I’m sure I left off someone somebody was hoping would be included – which is why my next endeavour, once season five concludes and we are immersed in, dare I say it, Hellatus (!), will be to complete the list of guests. Now, without further ado, here it is – the final instalment.

Great list, great guests, but just a niptick: Jared played Lucifer too…and boy did he play it well!!
Anyway, awsome job!
Hi coxfire,
Thanks for your comments! I know that Jared played Lucifer, but I decided to leave him out of that because he isn’t a guest actor. The actress who plays Jessica also played Lucifer, but I’d already put her on the list, so I didn’t include her there either. It was a conscious decision -not to take away from Jared’s phenomenal job as Lucifer (one of my favourite Supernatural scenes to date!), just to highlight the non-regulars who’ve been on the show. 😉
Wonderful articles. All four parts were GREAT!! So many guests I had forgotten about. Thanks so much Elle!
Hi Elle
Thanks so much this was great. I loved seeing the younger Winchesters and Ellen and Jo (sniff).
Andy! Ash!
“Kneel before Todd!”
It’s truly amazing just how many memorable guest characters there have been on one show. Granted, it helps that there are only two “main” characters instead of an ensemble cast, but very rarely has there been a misfire.
Just wanted to let you know how much I loved all of your 100 Guests articles. Yeah, I’m still catching up, but these were fantastic! Especially loved your “last seen” one-liners–I think Ellen’s may be a particular favorite
