Supernatural 2016 Holiday Gift Giving Guide
Officially Licensed Supernatural Gifts
Creation Entertainment now has a wishlist section where you can pick out items invented by the actors in celebration for the show. If enough people order, it will get made and the proceeds will go to a charity of the actor’s choice. (Mark Pellegrino’s Lucifer mug makes me laugh the hardest.) Then there’s Creation Entertainment’s main store of Supernatural goodies.
Great Supernatural merchandise – new T-shirts, posters, and character calendars, much of which is designed by incredible fan artists! We partner with many of the actors and feature them on “Actor Pages” where we promote their favorite charity, their selected merchandise, as well as any personal projects or campaigns that are important to them. And you can feel good when you shop! A portion of the sale of EVERY item goes to support the charities that our stars and fans are most passionate about.
But what if you’re wanting a little something more… 3D? Well, there’s always the MANY Funko Pop! style figures. You’ve got:
- Dean
- Sam
- Castiel
- Crowley
- and Charlie
- As well as variations like bloodsplattered metallic or FBI suit or Misha Collins .
If you want something a bit smaller, and enjoy the hunt itself, Funko has mystery minis where you don’t know which SPN figure you’re getting (note: I’m still trying to get a leviathan).
If your Supernatural fan needs something for their tree, these adorable string dolls are almost perfect ornaments.
You can get Dean, FBI Dean, FBI Sam, Cas, Bobby, and Charlie to keep your Christmas ghost free.
If your Supernatural fan is like me and really loves the sexiest member of the family, Greenlight Hollywood has produced a whole line of replicas of that sweet, sweet Impala. (make sure you get both license plates!)
Maybe your Supernatural fan wants to prove him or herself a hunter! Well there’s a LOT of Supernatural jewelry out there, ranging from the amulet to bracelets or watches .
Now what if you really like Supernatural too, and you want to give a gift that you and the receiver can both enjoy?
Well now we’ve got two old fashioned board games with a Supernatural skin. End ties to your friends and family with SPN Monopoly or start quoting the show at each other while playing SPN Clue ). (that’s what I’ll be doing if you ever play me… do love that board) Or if y’all miss grandma that much, see if she can say hi by using the SPN Ouija board (our lawyers require me to say that The Winchester Family Business is not responsible for any hauntings or possessions that might result – if we have to come fix you, best be providing us some pie for our trouble).
Cryptozoic has released 2 decks of Supernatural themed playing cards.
deck B:
If your Supernatural fan is a bit more of the solitude type, don’t forget that there’s a LOT of books out there. From behind-the-scenes & episode guides for 1-7 to “additional adventures ” taking place between episodes. My personal pick is anything by Keith R. A. DeCandido or “The Roads Not Taken” a choose-your-own-adventure style book that’s actually pretty awesome in its execution. If you need the ultimate coffee table book (emphasis on ultimate) there’s the Essential Supernatural. I have a copy I still haven’t finished (mostly because it has so much awesome in it, looking inside is like staring at the sun).
There is also now the Supernatural Official Coloring Book and a Supernatural jigsaw puzzle for those who enjoy a bit of arts and craft in their downtime. If that’s STILL not awesome enough, I present to you…
“But Nate,” I hear your friend asking, “the fan I’m buying for already HAS all that. That’s how I know they’re a fan!” To which I say, GOODY! I love a challenge! Let’s dig up some lesser known gifts…
More Gifts for the Supernatural Fan!
The following gifts are not licensed by the Supernatural gods but would still be perfect for the Supernatural fan in your life!
For instance, if you’re not wanting to play Monopoly or Clue, but a game that pretty closely captures the feel of being a hunter, Salt & Burn, the board game does this pretty well. You won’t see familiar characters in it save Lucifer & the horsemen (yes there is an apocalypse scenario) but the world is very familiar. (Full Disclosure: I did back this on Kickstarter and got my own copy of the game.)
The Hillywood Show also released several items based on their Supernatural Parody!
And there’s always the variety of fan books such as Fangasm , Fan Phenomena: Supernatural , the Supernatural mythology or essays on its philosophy.
Friend of the site sewgeekaustin also has a lot of Supernatural themed ornaments, jewelry, even prop replicas that may not be available yet elsewhere. (Full Disclosure: I’ve gotten a few things off her as well. Now I just need actors to start filming my own fan show…).
CelebrityMachines is where I’ve gotten my own Kansas & Ohio license plates that hang on my cubicle wall, they even have the plate from Death’s car . For those in need of stocking stuffers, Ten & Under (sometimes seen at conventions) has a seemingly endless supply of Supernatural goodies (like the hunter starter pack !)
If you STILL haven’t found that something special for the Supernatural fan in your life… how about some children’s books written by Jared Padalecki’s own sister ? (we’re all about family after all)
Mercy has a Salt N Burn Candle Shop for those who need to get the smell of sulphur out of their nose.
Ashlis meanwhile sells a SPN styled canvas shoe for when you need to chase down an errant angel who’s gone wondering off to get into trouble.
Finally, for those who want more variety, Princess Schez has a cafepress shop full of fan love (lots of designs slapped on anything they could) or you can pick out a shirt at her redbubble store.
Lisa M. Rourke is an artist that makes custom funko pops of the show’s characters. You can place orders here for new creations or even send her your regular old boring Pop for modification into a spicy, fancy one. (Disclosure: I have gotten an angelic Anna figure from her. It’s really sweet and awesome.)
LittlePopWorkshop is also a custom funko pop maker. They have recently updated with the girls from episode 11.11 Into the Mystic and Aaron Bass from episode 8.13 Everybody Hates Hitler. Or the British chaps, Ketch and Davies.
There’s always a stylish Men of Letters, British Branch tshirt for those who like a bit of tea with their hunting.
From some of our favorite actors, we have this shirt from Gil McKinney (Henry Winchester), and this shirt from Shoshannah Stern (our favorite hearing impaired hunter) showing how to spell out the show in sign language. All profits from the sales go to charity.
