Fan Video of the Week: Supernatural Reflections “Just My Imagination”
After that Fan Video Ultimate Edition, my articles are back to covering one episode at a time. This week I will tackle the episode Just My Imagination. For this video I chose the word “Young” as the theme since children were a theme in this episode and “the Zannas” were there to support them. I found a music video about the WEEchesters (Young Sam and Dean) and luckily the music fits the theme I had chosen! I actually fell in love with the song on this video and it gave me some new thoughts while I was watching it.
It became clear to me that actually from now on we can start to regard the Sam and Dean from the Pilot and season 1 as WEEchesters. A lot has happened in eleven years and seeing those earlier scenes made me nostalgic. At the start of this video you will see my two favorite actors play young Sam and Dean. My favorite young Dean is Dylan Everett.
Hope you will enjoy the music and the video as much as I did.

Laughter Lines by Bastille
You took me to your favourite place on Earth
To see the tree they cut down ten years from your birth
Our fingers traced in circles round its history
We brushed our hands right back in time through centuries.
As you held me down, you said:
“I’ll see you in the future when we’re older
And we are full of stories to be told
Cross my heart and hope to die
I’ll see you with your laughter lines”
Changes on our hands and on our faces, oh, oh
Memories are mapped out by the lines we’ll trace
As you held me down you said:
“I’ll see you in the future when we’re older
And we are full of stories to be told
Cross my heart and hope to die
I’ll see you with your laughter lines”
Ashen faces in cold breeze
ashen faces in cold breeze
Armed with stories you will leave
Oh armed with stories you will leave
I’ll see you in the future when we’re older
And we are full of stories to be told
Cross my heart and hope to die I’ll see you with your laughter lines
I’ll see you in the future when we’re old
I’ll see you in the future when we’re old
Bastille (stylised as BΔSTILLE) are an English indie pop band formed in 2010. They began as a solo project by singer-songwriter Dan Smith, who later decided to form a band. The four-piece is completed by Chris ‘Woody’ Wood, William Farquarson and Kyle Simmons. They recently added a touring member to the band, Charlie Barnes. The name of the band derives from Bastille Day, which is celebrated on 14 July, Smith’s birthday.
After an independently released debut single and a self-released EP, the band signed to Virgin Records. Their first studio album, Bad Blood, was released in March 2013 and entered the UK Albums Chart at number 1. The band was nominated for four Brit Awards at the 2014 ceremony, winning the British Breakthrough Act. As of November 2014, Bastille have sold over 5 million records in the US and 2.5 million records in the UK.
Quotes:
Dean: So Sparkle is a unicorn and also a man?
Linda: Yeah.
Dean: So, a manicorn.
Dean: Oh, oh yeah. That kid is gonna need all the shrinks.
Sam: Wait a second, so his blood is glittery?
Sully: Even when he’s dead, Sparkle can’t stop shining.
Trivia:
Mork from Ork, was the titular character played by Robin Williams in the ’70s sitcom Mork & Mindy. Sully’s appearance (rainbow suspenders) was a nod to Mork’s outfit in the series.

Which actors are your favorite to play young Sam and Dean? What did you think about the song and video? Share your thoughts below.
Glad you include the lyrics. It is hard to make out some of the words, but after reading through the lyrics, it makes the video more poignant. Too bad the video ended right before my favorite scene from the Sam, Dean, Dad and vampires episode. The dying vamp lets Sam go, Sam staggers and Dean catches him. Love that stuff. Colin Ford will always be the best Sam. How can they top that?? How about a new teenage Sam? That, we have never seen. Dylan E. is great, but I also like the teenage Dean from the Truman High episode. Sorry, but if another actor plays Sam, he has to have shaggy hair. I couldn’t get past young Dylan’s hair in the Imagination ep. I’m a Sam hair worshipper. Great video, thanks.
Glad you liked the video and I can say the same about some songs. Sometimes it is hard to tell what the singers are singing. I think they hit the spot with Colin Ford as young Sam so it is pretty hard to top it. But unfortunately we can’t keep him forever. Same is with young Dean actors. But I agree which ones you see that were the best.
Thanks for reading and great comment! 🙂

Lilah, I LOVED this week’s video. For one thing, I love just about everything about S 1, but also because I love Bastille. I’ve actually seen them in concert twice in the past year and a half because my daughter is a huge fan. After seeing them in concert I became a fan myself. That’s a great song that accompanied the video. Excellent choice this week!
Bastille was actually a new acquaintance for me and I really liked how the song sounded. It is great that you can find new songs and bands also with these videos that you don’t know before and they might come your favorites. I have found many songs to buy to my playlist and I listen to them as often I can. Glad you liked the choice! 🙂

Hi Lilah. I agree with Sanandean I also loved the video this week, the music was great. I wasn’t familiar with Bastille. The poster art was again beautiful. I think my favorite young S&D would have to be Ridge and Colin. AVSC is one of my all time favorites. The flashbacks were sweet and poignant and left me angry at John for leaving those boys alone, especially on Christmas. Thanks.
It was a great song wasn’t it? And it is good to give feedback of the posters as I know for sure the artist checks also these articles out. AVSC is one of my favorite episodes from many and like you said it didn’t give a really good impression about John. It is sad that we have gotten only few holidays for the boys. It would be nice for them to celebrate something for a change.
Thanks for reading!
