CW Official Press Release for 11.07
We have the description for 11.07 and all I can say is yippee!
From the CW
SUPERNATURAL 11.07
“Plush” (November 18):
Sheriff Donna (guest star Briana Buckmaster) calls Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) for help after a horrific murder with supernatural elements happens in her town. Sam continues to have visions and asks God for help, which frustrates Dean.
YAY! Donna’s back! I really love Donna. No Jody, but we can’t have everything. Dean being frustrated by Sam turning to God is not unexpected, I guess. I do hope Dean comes around on the issue. What do you think? Are you happy to see Donna again? Are Sam’s visions helpful? Or something bad? Should they turn to God for help? Tell us in the comments or in the discussion thread for episode 7.
I’m sorry to say I didn’t find Donna an interesting character, much less a convincing hunter. Maybe this episode will change my mind. I am looking forward to the conflict between the guys over Sam’s praying to God. Dean’s never been the believer Sam is, but I’m curious about why Dean should object to his brother’s expression of faith. Has Dean simply become so firmly entrenched in his conviction that God doesn’t care that he’s angered by Sam’s “foolishness”? Or could it be that, without realizing it, Dean’s being influenced by God’s ancient enemy, the Darkness?
I don’t think that Donna has ever called herself a hunter nor considers herself one; in her last episode she was still a cop. She’s kind of like Jody, now that she knows about the Supernatural, things just seem to come her way and she has to deal with it. I appreciate her ability to think on her feet despite her lack of training.
I like Donna. She has that bystander, innocent, but willing to save the day attitude. I don’t think she’s a hunter or even a hunter in training. I’m scared she doesn’t fall prey to being another “guest” death. I’m getting tired of killing off everyone who gets to know and help the brothers. They’re supposed to be hunting things and saving people. Not hunting things and letting the people die.
Much love for Sheriff Hanscum from me, too. The synopsis doesn’t really say anything about the case, but I’m sure she’ll make it more fun.
Yay for Donna. I love her character. Sam frustrates Dean…in other words another day at the Bunker.
Dean needs to stop being frustrated (if that is what he is) he is in no position when it comes to Sam .
I can take or leave Donna but I love that we are getting more on Sam’s visions and his faith in God.
