Interview with Jared on What’s Coming Next on Supernatural
Variety has an interview with Jared on what to expect on Supernatural.
The Winchesters have faced everything from ghosts to Lucifer himself, but Padalecki believes that in some ways, the so-called “big bad” of season 10 is actually “the bad within themselves; for Dean, it was the Mark of Cain. The big bad is sort of a seemingly inanimate object on his forearm.”
Still, that doesn’t mean that the Winchesters won’t be battling external threats in the run up to the finale. “As far as a character… we thought getting rid of Cain would get rid of the Mark and that didn’t work, so [we’re] on to the next thing. We think we come up with another way to possibly remove the Mark of Cain from Dean’s arm, but it involves us running into several big bads that are all in cahoots with each other who are trying to thwart our goals, and we see that very, very soon,” Padalecki teased.
The rest of the interview is here.
I swear, if they have Charlie come up with the strategy for saving Dean my primal scream will deafen the entire East coast. Give Sam the WIN! Other than in computer-related matters, he’s smarter than Charlie and he knows a hell of a lot more about the supernatural.
Huh… I notice that Jared seems to be doing. a lot of these show interviews lately. That’s nice and all, but it doesn’t make up for the fact that Sam still doesn’t have any kind of story line. Maybe if he actually starts to do something about Dean and the MoC then it could become one, but all this standing around silently and casting worried looks is not a storyline. Maybe the PTB are trying to remind us that Sam is an actual character on this show.
I also couldn’t help but notice that in this interview and others that all of the discussion is about Dean and the MoC. Sam’s comment about fighting the monster inside was also only about Dean. So, I wonder what Sam’s monster is supposed to be? In season 7 and earlier I could have told you what that was, but since Carver took over I have no idea.
Sam’s ‘monster’ ? I would say Sam’s hair style this season it looks like something horrible attached itself to his head but my guess is something they might pluck out of the air towards the end of the season or this insense belief he has failed Dean in the past that Carver and the writers have played with since season 8.
And here i thought Sams’ monster is actually Jeremy Carver.
