Fan Video of the Week: Supernatural Reflections 10.15, 10.16, 10.17
Since The WFB Rewatch schedule has had to skip two episodes to compress season 10’s reruns before the season 11 premiere, this week I feature fan videos for three episodes at once: “Inside Man’, “The Things They Carried” & “Paint It Black”!
Fan Video of the Week: “Inside Man”
aka Dedicated to Bobby Singer
“Family don’t end with blood, boy. Besides, you need me.” ― Bobby Singer, 3.16 “No Rest for the Wicked”
Inside Man was a great episode but it also reminded us about a void that the death of Bobby caused for the show. Jensen and Jared both agree. At a recent con they talked about it, saying for them, and for Sam and Dean, loosing Bobby was a blow from which it is very hard to recover.
J2 from DCCon:
Jared: He was a nice kind of [mediating] factor for the boys. Brought them back down to level when they were being Idjits.
Jensen: And he was a homebase. That is something that the brothers haven’t had in a very long time. I mean they have the bunker but that is just physical. They don’t have emotional homabase anymore and that is what Bobby represented. I think it has been tough for them to not have that in their lives.
The Winchesters need some roots to other people to give them ties to the world but all of the roots have been cut except for a few. They have lost almost everyone, so it is a wonder they are even sane. Probably the hardest to lose were Bobby and John. They need a father figure, and either Bobby or John Winchester would certainly be at the top of the list.
So this video is a tribute to Bobby Singer. I would like to feature more videos about Bobby (he deserves it!) but as I also cover two other episodes, I will reserve more Bobby videos for later use.

Quotes:
Bobby: Sam, so, this is weird huh? Look I just wanted to say that Cas told me what you’re doing for Dean and I’m not asking you to stop but maybe going behind his back ain’t the best idea. Your brother, he can be stubborn but I think he’d understand and I know it’s the life: doing a little bad so you can do a lot of good but sometimes the bad is real bad and the good , it can come at one hell of a price. I ain’t there on the ground and whatever you do, I know you’ll make the right choice. You’re a good man, Sam Winchester, one of the best and I’m damn proud of you son. I was content up here but getting a call from you, it’s the happiest I’ve been in forever, no matter what it costs. So stay safe, keep fighting and kick it in the ass. Bobby.
Thank you for posting those pics of Bobby & Cole. The two of them (as well as Kevin and some other dead hunters, like Ellen & Rufus) would make far better recurring characters than the ones we have on the show currently.
Crawly, Rowena, Metatron and Castiel — it’s time for you to go!
In my opinion Cas and Crowley after Sam and Dean are the most complex characters on the show and I am among many that would miss them if they were gone. Metatron and Rowena are not my favorites but even those two have a lot of people that like them. I see them all belonging to the story and I don’t need to like all the characters. That is impossible. Except the cast of Bloodlines. That is exception, but it really wasn’t Supernatural we were watching so I can say that out loud. Glad you liked the videos for Bobby and Cole and the images.
