Supernatural Bits and Pieces June 21, 2015

What happened this week for Supernatural.

The Leo Award Winners were announced last weekend.

The Leo Awards are

a Project of the Motion Picture Arts & Sciences Foundation of British Columbia Celebrating Excellence in British Columbia Film & Television

The Best Guest Performance by a Female Dramatic Series went to: Briana Buckmaster for Supernatural – Hibbing 911. Congratulations Briana! The Province had an article about the awards.

Briana was not at the Leo Awards ceremony. Instead she was preparing for the opening of her new play, Saint Albert. From the Edmonton Journal

Buckmaster, Vancouver-based these days, is back in town after a three-year absence, to play a vivacious St. Albert real estate agent showing an unsellable house to unlikely buyers (Jeff Haslam, Rachel Bowron) in Saint Albert.

Misha Collins fulfilled his pledge to rappel down a 17 story building as part of a fundraising campaign for Shatterproof. From the LA Times

Misha Collins’ message to his kids on Monday? Don’t try this at home. Because Daddy kicked off his week by stepping off the top of a 17-story building and rappelling to the ground.

People Magazine wrote

Collins, 40, performed the death-defying stunt for Shatterproof, a charity that aims to destigmatize drug and alcohol addiction by raising money and awareness for the epidemic

Zap2It  has great pictures of Misha as he descended down the building. They reported

The feat was part of the  Shatterproof Repelling Challenge . Collins joined over 90 other participants who signed up on the  Shatterproof website  for the Orange County event. No prior training for rappelling is required by participants, but they must commit to raise a minimum of $1,000 for the organization

AJ Buckley attended the One For the Boys Fashion Ball hosted by Samuel L Jackson. One For the Boys was founded

to raise awareness and funds educating men on the many forms of cancers

Rob Benedict and Richard Speight, Jr. have posted their “Your Name In Song” videos. These videos were one of the perks offered as part of thier Indiegogo campaign to raise funds to produce their web series Kings Of Con

That’s right.  We sat down with the royal six string and butchered your names like only we can.  We tried to adhere to your instructions as specified on the survey, but we’re not very good with instructions.  Rob’s still trying to figure out how to work his laser disc player.  

That being said, we’re very proud of the song.  We spent countless hours in the song lounge working it out.  Erasing notes and penciling in new ones.  Getting the time signature just right.  And making sure that the all important closing chord was spot on.

Funko has just released the first images of the new Supernatural Mystery mini line which consists of 17 new vinyl figures to the mix which includes 3 versions of Sam and Dean along with Castiel with wings figures.

The new Supernatural series is expected to be released in August 2015 and are available for pre-order.

This sounds like a great new collection.
