Jeremy Carver Preview of Supernatural Season 11
Jeremy Carver has put up a video about what comes in season 11.

What do you think? How much worse will it get? How will Sam and Dean battle The Darkness? Let us know in the comments.
No shite, things are gonna go from bad to Worse, Jeremy.:(
Not the best season finale and a little hard to follow – why was Dean on a case alone and how did he find the case? Who is Rudy?
Everyone knew Rowena would double cross them. I knew Dean wouldn’t kill Sam.
Overall Season 10 gets a C- or a D and the finale was worse than the episode last week so I give the finale a C- as well. Carver needs to step it up.
What happened to Metatron and the demon tablet? Are they setting us up to end the series as only GOD and the archangels put away the darkness to start with so it would seem GOD would need to do it again hence the show could end with GOD?
The darkness seems very abstract and I’m not sure how they are going to make it scary? We will see. I can’t say I will miss the show this summer first time ever I don’t really care when it comes back on.
Last gripe(s) could we please get the supernatural universe back in order. I would like to see Castiel be a real angel with full angel power and I’d like the demons to be scary demons with real demon power again. I don’t think that’s too much to ask. Rowena is as scary as a Yorkie dressed in Prada.
And for heaven sake would somebody please write Sam true to Sam’s character. Sam is smart not dumb.
Jeremy Carver said at the end of the show that it’s only going to get worse for the boys but I have to say that is nothing to get excited about at least from my perspective.
I’d like to see the boys be happy again. I’d like to see the boys on the road again. I’d like to see the boys trusting each other again. Getting worse? How much worse can it get the season 10? A lot I suppose with the EPs and lazy writing staff.
God and only GOD and the Archangels can fix this mess.
I do not remember when Rudy was introduced but, he is/ was the newish Bobbie on the phone with research etc.
Actually NOLANOLA, this is what concerns me. If only God and the Archangels are capable of fixing the current mess then what are the Winchesters for? This whole situation seems to be above their pay grade. It’s a mess they themselves made and can’t fix, so queue deus ex machina (in the form of actual Deus this time) to come dig the boys out. They don’t really deserve it.
They are the chosen, destined to be in the story as it were. 🙂
Didn’t Death say that God and the Archangels fought against the Darkness. I don’t think he said only God and the Archangels were capable of defeating the Darkness. God seems to think pretty highly of the Winchesters. I’m pretty sure they will get some sort of assist in an unexpected way.
Rudy was another hunter who called Dean in on the case.
I didn’t mind the last episode but didn’t really like this season that much overall, mainly cause the characters weren’t really in character. Dean wasn’t in character cause of the MoC, Sam wasn’t in character cause writers were a bit lazy, Cass wasn’t in character cause for some reason they seem to not want him to have any scenes with Dean and he served mostly as an episode filler which again is not in his character, I didn’t really think Charlie’s obsession to get away from Rowena was in character either cause however annoying she may be, Rowena is reasonably hot. But then again, the writers may have been subconsciously aware of all these character issues considering we had episodes with Dean turning into a 14 year old version of himself and Charlie split into a Good and Evil one 😀
Anyway, things need to start getting better for the boys, not worse or the entire thing will go to hell, and not in a good way. All that being said, I will miss the show over the summer. I’ll miss it quite a bit…
Dean reverses into a pothole so deep, even Baby’s horsepower can’t escape it.
I just read this line in another article – I swear I thought it said ‘plothole’ 😀
Pothole, plothole… tomato, tomahto…
Maybe it really is a PLOThole!
What did eilf call it? Plotvoid! That’s it….like a plothole but bigger and more empty. I have visions of black holes sucking up all the ideas into an endless nothing……….THE DARKNESS!!!!…NESS!!!! ….NESS!!!………..ness!!!…..
PLOTHOLES iiin Spaaaaaaaccee!!!

🙂
Love :p
Does this mean Evil Sam? 😀
I am watching this for the 13th time, and it was a solid 9
until the last 8 minutes. Shame.
You didn’t like the scene with the brothers? I thought that was the best part.
Love that scene.
Dean should NOT have killed DEATH.
That ruined the whole episode for me.
Death was going to kill Sam if Dean didn’t. I don’t think he had much of a choice.
Dean called Sam and was going to do it.
The PICTURES brought him to his senses.
Yes Death Was going to kill Sam the ball
was in motion.
The great Darkness will consume the world while our local friendly unhealthy for everybody including themselves co-dependant brothers go ‘oops look what we did ‘.
kudo 🙂
I thought of the perfect title of a song to sum up the ending where the darkness is released https://youtu.be/CduA0TULnow?t=88

That was an excellent and positive review thanks for the link.
You are very welcome, Cheryl.
I dont think we have seen the last of the MOC. Considering its a lock and key. When Dean was struck by the spell and it then left his body it seemed like to me it “took” the MOC with it. I wouldn’t be surprised if Dean voluntarily took it back once more.
Interesting finale. Have to say Im skeptical about “The Darkness”. Has Jeremy Carver bitten off more than he can chew? Ive read where people think its going to be like Purgatory or Croatoan… yeah, not so much. Remember the Big Bad Leviathans which turned out to be not so big, nor so bad. Remember how horrible they were suppose to be? So much so that according to Death himself, God shoved them into Purgatory to keep them from eating the whole petri dish. Yawn. Far more comical than scary. Seemed they were more concerned about wearing suits and making political statements than world domination (ok, the political commentary was on the writers), and then how can we forget, “The Angels, they’re falling” aka “The Angels, they’re boring” who also had the same penchant for boring suits for both the boys as well as the girls, I dont judge (sorry 😉 ), then we’re teased with the Stynes, this terrible family thats been around and is infinitely powerful, blah, blah, blah. They must have joined up with the threatening Grand Coven who as it now appears is not so Grand or Coven and then finally the totally forgettable and unforgiveable “Bloodlines”. So as long as they can make The Darkness a force to be reckoned with and not just another poor excuse for a finely dressed, mind numbingly boring, over promoted Big Bad with a mediocre Chicagoan or Southern accent then that will be cool. But Im not countin’ my chickens. 😉
I agree that Carver has set himself up for a big challenge in portraying the Darkness. I’m intrigued by Cody’s idea that rather than the Darkness taking on its own specific corporeal form, it will instead infect or poison people into becoming evil beings. I always loved how Lucifer first communicated to Yellow Eyes through that dead nun. The creepy voice coming out of her corpse was chilling. Something along those lines would be a huge improvement over the well-dressed, snarky, corporate Leviathans.
YellowEyedSam is going to be so happy. He/She has been looking for lots of evil for a while now 😀
Ehehehehehe… *rubs hands with glee* Maybe this time I wont be disappointed! Lots of evil, lots of despair and blood. And Evil Sam! Don’t let me down Carver please!
Oh and for the record I am a she. 🙂
I hope for Evil!Sam too because Evil!Sam will be able to kick some ass, be snarky to Crowley and kill him successfully, be able to use his words and be able to call various people out on their goal-post shifting….
On the other hand I would really like the brothers to be together in the car fighting bad guys, and for all teenagers introduced next season to have parents, to whom they can be returned…
Since canon only lasts 1-2 episodes at most these days I would like for all of season 10 to be forgotten by the characters as of 11.01.
Thanks for the clarification YES I didn’t want to assume 🙂
Yeah that would be something different. ANYTHING besides the suit wearing villians, Corporate, Southern or otherwise. Actually, I should be careful that I say ANYTHING because God help us they take us up on that… 😉
Hey, you guys have all seen the Hillywood Supernatural Parody by now havent you? Its the best parody Ive ever seen. They have also done other shows – check out The Walking Dead one too! Im probably not saying anything you dont already know, but just in case someone wasnt aware of it…
I share your disappointment that the Stynes were an undeveloped storyline. I was intrigued by the power aspect…. the book of the damned tracking device and their seemingly mystical dark power but then it all took a hard left with the Frankenstein body assembly line then MOC Dean slaughters everyone. I guess it is just systemic of the Carver problem of not having a plan for the season; a cohesive story line with each episode as a building block. Another example of this problem was the whiplash effect of MOC Dean. The Executioner’s Song was brilliant, dynamic. Dean actually KILLS a biblical person, Cain. Dean as Jensen’s acting conveyed, experienced devastation- emotionally, physically, mentally and spiritually. Then what did we get? Any carry through in the next episode ironically titled the The Things They Carried? No! Not even a mere residual sign of the devastation or change. Dean’s fine, being plain Dean again. Another example: Werther Project Dean: The universe is trying to tell us something we both should already know. We’re stronger together than apart. Immediately, without any change or reason, followed by “go it alone Angel Heart” Dean. Three seasons is enough.
I agree, three years of Carver has been two and 3/4 years too many. Basically he allows each writer to write what they want, how they want, and when one of the creates a problem, he finds some quick and trite way to get them out of that problem. The Stynes are a prime example. They needed Dean to “go off the rails” to show that the MoC was affecting him (like just having the MoC affect him the way they said it was going to all season long wasn’t enough of a reason), so they have the Stynes kill Charlie and then have Dean go all nuclear on the Stynes. That was their only purpose apparently… to get killed by Dean. So all of that build up, the idea that they are a HUGE network of evil doers spanning the globe for centuries and are all but unstoppable? Meh… who cares, Dean’s on a rampage.. they are no match for him. It’s so convoluted and stupid. And the connection to Frankenstein? As though he was actually a real person as opposed to literary fiction? Dumb… almost as dumb as introducing OZ to this show… they are about on the same level of lame. JC is the worst long term plotter I have ever seen and his show running isn’t far behind. How I wish Kripke would come back and try and salvage this mess. This was EXACTLY his biggest fear for this show…. that it would descending into ridiculousness and mediocrity.
Ok but like do you ever fangirl over Jeremy? Because god bless him.
They should hire Terry O’Quinn next season to play a hunter and have his storyline being him convincing the guys that the best way to fight the smoke mo …. darkness (sorry) is with the judicious use of polar bears.
I would watch that.
I’ll preface this by saying I haven’t really enjoyed a season since Carver took over. Yes, there were major issues with seasons 6 and 7, but I enjoyed them, nonetheless… Seasons 8-10, not so much. (I know, no surprise for anyone who knows me)
What I personally enjoyed about the early seasons? Aside from the incredibly detailed world building… 1) The teasing brother banter (not the pissed off “we’re not brothers” sh*t)
2) Road trip out in the car (I miss those glorious motels!)
3) Brothers fighting evil together. Yes, put them at odds, have them fight it out, but not for whole seasons and years on end! (And stop the vicitim blaming, Carver! Period.)
So. What I’d say to Carver and company: Don’t give me one half-assed line at the end of the season, and tell me things are resolved. That’s not the way it works. Not with all the crap these two have in their shared past. If you want them at odds for multiple episodes, let them hash it out afterwards.
In other words, write the brothers in character! Both of them. They’re both passionate, strong, smart men. They can use both words and fists. And they never used to pull either when they thought it necessary.
My second biggest wish for Carver and his crew would be for them to plot out the entire season of 23 episodes before they start writing! And for Carver to oversee the writers! Have them ALL make canon consistency a priority, or explain their changes.
All those neat little (dangling) plot and character ideas introduced by individual writers need to be tied in to the overall story. Don’t let anybody introduce anything/anyone you’re not going to address somewhere in the season.
This is story writing 101 as far as I’m concerned, and the fact that Carver and Singer have, in the past, stated public that they don’t really have a concept direction is just so ……. Obvious in the show anymore.
Things are going to get worse? That’s no surprise. I’d really like to see things get better for them first. While it would be impossible to return to their previous relationship, I’d like to see them work on it.
Well stated and I sincerely agree.
