More Comic Con Interviews for Supernatural PLUS Episode Titles
We have seen Alice’s great writeups of the table interviews she was part of at Comic Con. People who were at other tables have published their interviews.
Clarissa at ScreenFad has posted her interviews with Jared, Jensen, Misha and Jeremy Carver here. Angel K from the Geekiary has posted her interviews here. It may help us figure out how things will start out.
Also the titles for the first three episodes have been released. Titles have been changed in the past, so these could change.
10.01 (Season Premiere) – Black
10.02 – Reichenbach
10.03 – Soul Survivor
10.04 – Not Announced
10.05 – Fan Fiction.
So what do you think these titles tell us about the episodes? Any new feelings about what’s coming up from these titles and the other interviews.
The title of 10.02 (Reichenbach) intrigued me. There’s a Reichenbach Falls in Switzerland, and a Reichenbach in Germany; there’s a philosopher named Hans Reichenbach who studied the Theory of Relativity, Quantum Mechanics and the Space-Time Continuum (in a very academic way, not a fun time-travelling DeLorean kind of way 😉 ) But there’s also a 2007 TV movie called Reichenbach Falls; it’s about a “cop on the edge” investigating a 100-year-old murder and “his investigation takes him on a journey into (Edinburgh, Scotland’s) literary past that will cause him to question his very existence and set him on a collision course with his onetime friend.” In the broadest sense, that sounds like a good fit with the premise for the beginning of SPN Season 10. Hmmmmm…
Ooh, Ooh, I can answer this one! I just finished watching the Sherlock episode, “The Reichenbach Fall.” That episode plays out the novel “The Final Problem” in which Sherlock Holmes fakes his suicide to protect those he cares about from Jim Moriarty. It’s an intense, thrilling, creepy, mind blowing, and deeply emotional piece of work. So, it they are really going by that title, they have a TON to live up to. It’s also an intriguing scenario. It’s the no win scenario in which two foes must die to finish out the story, which is an elaborate scheme of one trying to completely ruin the other. I’m dying to see where that is going.
Oooh, indeed. 🙂 That Sherlock episode and the 2007 flick of the same name sound like they have very similar themes – that can’t be a coincidence. So, maybe that is indeed what the SPN ep will draw from/be inspired by. I’m definitely intrigued. /
Do we know who is writing these episodes yet? I know 1, 3 and 5 but do we know the others yet.
Now I’ll have to read that Sherlock story again it’s been ages (literally).
If they have released the writer of 10.02, I haven’t seen it and have yet to find it. 🙁
I did, however, find this: the Urban Dictionary defines Reichenbach (based on the Sherlock story) as “Feelings of intense dark emotion. Usually dealing with grief, sadness, abandonment, uncertainty and occasionally anger.” That certainly fits Sam given what happened in the Season 9 finale.
I’ll be vague here because I’m not sure about the spoiler policy of this thread, but if you combine the space-time continuum angle with the Sherlock theme, it might all tie in with tidbits that have been released about the ‘Rowena’ character.
That is interesting. Space-time… a blood spell to go back to the previously introduced character for help with Dean maybe? Well now I really need the season to start.
Makes me think also a lot about Gavin…
It wouldn’t be the first time that the past would come and bite them on their behind. 😀

You nailed it, Alice. Yeah, Reichenbach Falls was where Sherlock Holmes staged his death. Which BTW Doyle meant to be the character’s real death, but he couldn’t get away from the character. So yeah, it looks like big things are afoot.
it could be about GAVIN because of the space time continuum angle.
I actually was also curious about the second episode. If it follows above examples I am even more curious to see it.

who is Rowena again…..
She is a new character Nola. We don’t know that much about her except she is a witch and Scottish.
